Man I am sitting here with the biggest smile on my face seeing Ed ride that bike. Beautiful. Just think of all the history stored inside Ed. I was 11 year old in 75. And my mom always made us go out and help the elders and we was not to take a dime from them. Even though they would try and give us money, we would always have to run away from them in order not for them to force us to take their blessing.
So a couple years ago I stopped through to Matt’s shop for some merchandise for my old man (still wears the embroidered ball cap) and who was out front? Ed. Literally wanted to know everything about who I was, where I came from, why I was there… just a super nice guy. Happy to see the guy having a good time.
Ed is a kind of person that is genuinly rare today, a pioneer. Still young at heart with a range of experience that seems beyond possibility in the modern world. I know a guy that was pulling whole tree tunks out of the forest with a bullock team. He was also the steam engineer on a paddle steamer on the Murray River in Australia. After that his life just kept getting more interesting. He's the only other person I know about who is like Ed.
Ed, reminds me of my Grandad. He was a miner in California, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. As a youngester I remember going out to the mines and visiting him and my dad. My mother was the first woman to be licensed in Nevada as a blaster. So with grandpa, dad and mom all in the mining trades I grow up liking things that go bang, digging and loving the out doors. Ed is fortunate to have so many friends that care. One caution I would offer is that Ed will be overwhelmed by what you are doing and will be inclined to prove the value of the gift. Once the bike is restored, is it safe for Ed to be riding on it?

It's great to see Ed and his Rokon coming back to life. I have a 2009 Rokon just like yours, but yours is newer than mine. The different and improved air box is how you can tell. When you turn the handle bars, the front drive disengages and makes it easy to turn. They are advertised to go up a 60 degree grade, and will do it, if you can hang on.

Ed’s one amazing guy and it’s wonderful to see all of those who love him pulling off this surprise. 💕 You couldn’t wipe that smile off his face, while he was watching the young folks ride it. I loved watching him ride it. Job said it best, didn’t he?
Ed is fortunate to have so many friends that care. One caution I would offer is that Ed will be overwhelmed by what you are doing and will be inclined to prove the value of the gift. Once the bike is restored, is it safe for Ed to be riding on it?
You Guy's are the BEST !! Ed is Zevving !! Respect for Elders !!! Thank You All Involved in this Project ! Bless
Following edds vehicle's adventures across so many channels has been great need to crack the whip with Robbie n crew to get the nugget ready
This whole adventure is so heartwarming. I'm almost as old as Ed, surrounded by kids & grandkids. I watch them play video games, not really interested in the stories, adventures, & knowledge I have aquired in 70+ years. Thank you guys for showing Ed the wonderful respect he so deserves......
Ed is a (SUPERSTAR)... damn near a movie when you add up all the videos.
would be cool to make a compilation video for us and ED.
Thank you guys very much i'm sure you brought back a lot memories for ed & i wish i could seen his face once he started riding the rokon ! Ed may be in his 80's but he has many more years left & i know when everything is done this spring all the youtubers thats donated to fixing all this stuff for Ed it's going to really be a celebration that i wish i could be at in person ! Myself in my 60's and can't afford much more then a place to live & a ride i was able to buy a old rv that i been getting fixed up for place to live hopefully ill be able to start hitting the road this summer in it ! A 1987 class A Rv with 55K miles on it !
Ed deserves it.
He's a legend.
yeah he does, hes such a cool guy
Fab Rat, Matt's Recovery Team, and Beards and Bikes, doing a community service for Ed, who doesn't know what he's about to be blessed with. You guys have hearts of gold.
DAMN BRO THAT DAMN MOTORTRACTORBIKE CAN DO ANYTHING
Thank you for understanding what this older generation brings to the table. Most young people have no respect for us. Thanks again, have fun, enjoy what you do and life can be a blessing by giving it a chance. You kids are awesome all of you for doing this for Ed. You can imagine how many times Ed dreamed of this. This old guy signing out.
Ed is a national treasure
Bless these guys hearts in the rebuild of Ed's Rokon! Everyone should treat their elders with the respect these guys have shown Ed! God Bless!
Matt
That’s true LOVVE YOU GUYS HAVE FOR ED. I really enjoy the love you and your friends have to each other and the LOVE you all give to ED. I wish a lot of people would be like you guys.
Never seen Ed in any of the videos smile or laugh like that. It is fantastic to see him light up like that. Congrats to Ed and all the people helping with this restoration and the Golden Nugget. All the videos are awesome. Just fire content!!!
Thank you. This is priceless and you guys are wonderful for helping Ed. I've kept up with the bike and Suzuki restore. This is so amazing to witness this much love in these awful times of hatered in which we live. The youth of today can not comprehend the love esp for our elders we once experienced here in america.
It's amazing how all of you are pitching in and bringing back the old day's to the new day's for Ed ! Ed reminds me of my grandfather a lot . I've been trying to keep up with everybody's channel's on the building of both vehicle's.
Ed. Salt of the Earth. Thank you to all the folks that are making the nugget surprise possible. Special thanks to Matt, family and friends that had the forethought to include so many wholesome and talented people along for the journey. Thank you.
I have been following this entire story from the beginning, I have loved every bit of it. So many people going above and beyond for Ed. The work Paul and Rabby and his group have done is amazing!
That smile on Ed’s face was priceless. Good job guys!
Thank You . Good to se everybody having so much fun . . Also a fine reminder of how much wisdom Ed and his generation have

Newcomer to your channel here.
Was looking for the progress with Ed's things when I found you folks, and your remarkable way with Ed, and his Rokon.
Your respect of elders is a breath of fresh air.
God bless you guys!
The smile on Ed's face is priceless. Thanks for doing this for such a great guy!
There was a Sunday school song that talked about being a "Sermon in shoes " . Selfless loving concern , that results in a kindness for someone you've never even met, preaches the Love of Jesus pretty loudly !!!! Thanks for letting us share in your ministry .
To all you guys helping Ed out with this stuff; you rawk! It's so cool that y'all are helping him with all these otherwise impossible tasks. Kudos to everyone!
Thanks for the vid, guys! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for helping a great guy (Ed). Older people truly are a treasure. Stay safe and GOD bless
Best part about growing up in my Dads restoration shop was all the cool old friends I got to make. Blessing you guys! Huge fan who used to live in Manhiem but now in Texas. Watching your videos makes me miss home so much!
Seeing the smile on Ed was awesome. I think what everyone is doing for Ed is just fantastic.
Thank you for everything you did. This entire series of everyone's channels all working together on the Nugget and Rokon has been fun and inspirational.
That was beyond great seeing the smile on Ed's face when he was riding the other Rokon.
