- Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I didn't have a reaction video for you all today (more on that Saturday!), but 2 weeks ago I went on a socially distanced outing to a botanical garden and threw this little doodad together with a one take wonder of Eric Satie's Je te Veux. (Side note- Satie was a WACK COMPOSER. He STACKED pianos in his tiny a** french apartment and he was a hoarder and he wrote a piece called Vexations that's for solo piano that's 28 HOURS LONG. ANYWAY. Je te veux is not that. 😂 This art song isn't something I've actually learned (you can definitely hear me flub the French), but it's such a beautiful example of early French cabaret and it was stuck in my head the entire time I walked through the gardens.

Your good in French and i notice something that we native have lost.... the "R roulé" its the Edith Piaf way of pronontiation the letter R and many of us have actually forgot how to do that and for you who spoke a natural language that doenst even prononce the R it should be hard so you have my respect here ! and also the lyrrics good choice shoud i say xD

I love the song and it was sang beautifully. My only problem is hearing, quite a lot, the intake sound of the singer taking her breath in throughout the song. It’s a bit off putting, on my own taste. Maybe better breath control or better editing before posting.
Hi! The weird old “they shouldn’t hear you breathe” is a technique that’s been disproven! Silent breathes are not a solid basis of technique. That being said certainly most opera singers don’t have mics 6” from their mouths like I do in my home studio so the breathing is a bit louder than it would be in reality. I don’t edit my recordings so the breaths just have to stay put
@@AngelAzzarraOpera Yes, I fully understand that most opera singers don’t have a mic in front of them. But you’re recording and should be aware of it. Do you hear so much breathing in opera recordings? Not much because they were either aware of the sensitivity of the mic or the breathings were edited. Just my honest opinion. I prefer not hearing too much breathing when people sing, regardless if it’s opera or other genre.
Because in operatic recordings the mics are usually 6-20 feet away
Or they’re studio recordings being edited by other people that are getting paid to do so. I’m doing this for free on my own time! I don’t have the energy or the income to be that nitpicky 😂😂😂😂
