I love how he's just having the best time on that stage. Much of what he's playing is probably improvised and experimental on the go but it's clearly making him happy which automatically resonates to the audience too. Makes me happy when I watch him for sure. Brilliant Mr Ross!
Fan fret guitars have the main benefit of allowing a longer 'speaking length' of the bass strings, so you can tune lower without having the string get too loose. There are 8, 9 and 10-string fan fret guitars out there. I don't know if it improves/worsens intonation issues.
@@ophiolatreia93 I think that Thomas has put the company on hold. I think it was a tough go for him and I believe these days he’s applying his carbon fibre knowledge to the aircraft industry. I believe they were selling for somewhere between 3000 and 4000 Euros.
Don Ross I realize that you’ll probably never see this, but you really do show something that Antoine Dufour doesn’t - the groove that you’ve got going on in this version is just mind blowing. This whole thing is SO deep in the pocket. It’s awesome to find a version of you playing your tune and showing that it’s YOUR tune. Thanks, this song is one of the foundational things that shaped me as a guitarist. It means a lot to me.
@@DonRossMusic I'm sorry Don, no it wasn't necessary at all. I cannot even remember writing the comment, it was two years ago and I'm really upset with myself that I said that. Hopefully you can accept my apology? I'm a massive fan btw. Are you planning to come to the UK any time soon.
I absolutley love the groove in this song.

Improvised or not, the small variations sound so good. It's such a chunky sounding song. My favourite thing to play on the guitar.
Probably my favourite acoustic guitar piece. You can tell Don loves playing this too
That's so sick! you are so inspiring all of you guys but particularly you Don ;)
Just amazing! He makes me smile!
That Blues Brothers teaser though!! The amp couldn't handle it!! Loved the split second where the volume capped out. Perfection!
Look at the tilt on that bridge! I want to test out a compensated bridge/saddle like that some day.
I'm sorry but the part when he finds the time for the cheeky readjustment of his glasses just kills me every time 😆
You in a hotel Lobby Don?
I freaking Love this groove.
Wow. My ears😍😍😍😍😍
I'm learning this. It's a lot of fun to play. There's one good tutorial on yt

This particular guitar was made by luthier Thomas Strieker in Germany, out of carbon fibre. The brand name is LEVIORA.
@@raywestcott6680 Speaking length?
@@DonRossMusic how much are they if you don't mind me asking?

@@davidmchenry79 I agree. Dufor plays it really well but Don's version is way cooler.
