The mounting on the shock damper has the washer directly below the bolt, check it. I put the latch assembly backwards like you, easier to disassemble the bag. Excellent video to assemble the Motech bags.

so these wouldnt work with the rear shockmount turn signals. like would the carrier block them and hinder the rearshock mount turn signals
