@@grandmasterbash Nik Taylor what year is it? Are we still hating Wolfmother and praising Faith No More? As a huge Faith No More fan, this shit slaps. Grow the fuck up.
@@Samotbackwards No it doesn’t. Not every band that is past its peak magically becomes great. This version is worse than your average high school cover band.
Kudos to the drummer for playing softer than he probably is used to. You can see him hold back how hard he's hitting but he didn't blow everyone elses head off and it helped the performance. Too many sefish drummers out there don't play to the room.
As a drummer I can say it's not that easy. I play with a similar setup with my band in a small room and I can't play full volume because it just overpowers everything.
I can still remember hearing this song driving on I-94 in 2005/2006 as a 20-21 year old. Almost every time I would hear this song on the radio I would subsequently start driving faster.
The first song i ever learned to play all the way through on Guitar. I can't say i listen to too much Wolfmother these days, but the band always has a place in my heart as my first. Keep rocking fellas!
I saw them paying in Adelaide a couple of months back. After the show, my wife and I stayed in the place to have some beer and chat with some people we met there......suddenly Andrew Stock-fucking-dale starts walking around the place chatting with everyone. I had the pleasure to chat with him and even took a picture. What an amazing dude! Literally a dream coming true since I've been listening to them since around 06
I saw them at the 930 club in DC with the original lineup and that is hands down the best show I've ever been to. I was front row and Andrew jumped on me and broke my glasses... Epic!!! I will always love that formation and this album.
I still listen to this song almost daily, great in the gym. Very hype. I love the music video of Johnny Knoxville introducing them, gives me goosebumps everytime "HOME TOWN BOYS MADE GOOD!"
caught this as the last song of your set at splendour years ago, guitarist did intro while standing on top of guitar amps, so rock n roll, crowd went nuts
This is the song that sparked my 14 year (and counting) love affair with fuzz and is a big part of why I picked up a guitar in the first place. Keep being awesome Wolfmother 🤘
One of my top favorite bands of all time. This is one band that reminds me that rock and roll will never die. Someone will carry the torch. They fucking carry that torch!
My top 2 legendary bands on the shirts of the drummer and keyboardist! mad resect. Also love what you're doing with the behind the scenes videos, keep it up

Man, it was close 20 years ago that I certainly across this band on MySpace. I ordered their CD from Australia and it cost me $35 with shipping. And then about a month later they released it in the states. I was miffed about it and also happy for them. Been a fan from the start.
I love this song, I always remember when La Vida Moderna said had they were adding a song by Wolfmother as the new opening theme, and I said "oh I wish it's joker and the theif" and there it was.
I saw you cats at Bonnaroo 2007 and after you played every song on the only album you had out at the time y'all just jammed out the rest of the show and it was super sick
@@idontevenlikemoney Ha! I looked at the comments and saw recent posts so I would have never assumed this was that old! Still a cool band to stumble upon

@@janemba42 I agree. As a drummer it's just physically difficult to play "softly". It's not an ego thing
Ok well then work on it 😂
As a bassist I’ll be the first to lest you know your dynamics are shit… if the singer notices you’ll probably not be called back

When that intro riff plays before a faceoff at the end of an NHL game = pure hype & goosebumps

only 1 band should be played: rush
Livin’ In The Limelight, are we?
The debut Wolfmother record is still a highly regarded album. What an awesome living room experience. More please.

Frickin legendary Is more like it!!!
with a great cover image as well

Andrew has amazing vocals. Quality-wise he sounds so similar on studio recordings and live. It's fantastic!

Love that LP.
It reminds me of Led Zeppelin, Rush, and The Music.
Beautiful rendition of a classic song by Wolfmother!
That tune rocks!! I was expecting something by Dylan... Rock on guys ✌️ ✊ 👊 💯 🎶 ❤️ 💯
Coolest and least pretentious band of 21st century. Keep slaying it
