About this Channel:
This channel chronicles my journey as a sheep farmer from the very beginning. My primary occupation is in business management. In 2020, I discovered the principles of regenerative agriculture and embarked on a journey with the end goal of building a profitable small farm on 23 acres by 2027. Thank you for joining the journey!

With the way Australia handled COVID. I don't know if I would ever go there. But I'm glad the trip went well for you.
Handled covid? Have a look percentage of covid deaths to population in comparison to Australia
As an Aussie I can attest it sucked, especially Victoria. Ashamed of our gov

@@deronthomas7904 get over yourself. Hopefully you never come here.
As a person with multiple allergies I put hummus on my sandwiches as if it were mayo on a regular basis, so it made me smile to see your sister have the same idea.
I’m pretty sure she’s just visiting/working. They farm a lot of sheep there so it kind of makes sense to visit and check out their processes. Safe travels to you Shepherdess!
Yes! 2nd largest sheep producing nation, China being 1st. It was an incredible learning experience and I'm excited to share more.
@@theShepherdessI'm so glad you're not leaving texas! I've been following you for a bit and I'm using you as solid lessons for us to start our herd since we're in East texas 😅 (selfish of me, but still glad you're not leaving!)
yep clickbait
@theShepherdess please do share more. Looking forward to it. Glad you didn't relocate.
Check 1:30 to find out how to win the souvenirs bundle I brought back. 😍
I’ve thumbs up and I can’t pick which I want to see more.. maybe Dylan and shepherdess land and livestock. I love Pies! Bellvue dorper organic transition too and a Sophie box sales. All for learning and the bundle obvs 😉
Super excited for the full episodes! I know there's something to learn from those shepherds raising such healthy sheep in conditions far worse than mine. Thanks for this wonderful content!
ALL the episodes sound wonderful. What an experience you must have had. I have many Australian friends and look forward to seeing your tour of their amazing country. TY!
Looking forward to both of the Sophies. How exciting to go with your siblings! Thank you for all you do!
Congrats on 100k subscribers 🎉
Thank you!!
I’m excited for all the upcoming episodes. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I’m excited for your adventures !
What a great idea! We had such a terrible drought up here in northern BC! It's still effecting us and our well! The creeks haven't come back fully yet even though we've got snow and rain finally falling. I will be watching!
Wow what an awesome
Opportunity. I’m so happy for you and couldn’t stop smiling while I watched.
I’m very excited to hear how the farm in CA helps prevent wildfires!
Really excited to see your interview with the Bellevue stud..a very impressive setup they have there.
Of course all three are going to be inspirational to watch.
Thanks for putting together such a broad series of informative conversations.
This channel is an absolute credit to you.
Can’t wait for all these episodes! We live in the Arizona desert so we get about as much rain as the places you went. Hoping to gain some insight! Thank you!
I can’t wait to see all the episodes. We live in southeastern Arizona so the arid landscape featured in the videos will hit close to home. Thank you for all you do! Your work has been an inspiration to us.
You're support means a lot! Thanks for your entry and I'm excited to choose a winner :).
Thrilled for you and your family! God bless Shepherdess.
McIntyre Brooke Farm. As a homeschool mom that is a follower of Jesus I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to watch you and your family. My children are all married and parents and I am transitioning into raising sheep on our farm so I found you because of that. It has been so fun watching your hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and love for the Lord as I have listened to you and bought your book. I’m pulling for you and all that you are doing and learning a lot as I follow along. I’m so thankful you were able to take this trip with your siblings. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you so much!! This is such an encouraging comment.
Wow this is going to be a great series of video subjects. Can't wait!
Wow wow wow! Looks like the trip was way more fun and exciting then I've heard about!!
Super excited for all the videos, but I think im most exciting to watch the "Macintyre Brooke Lamb" episode.
With a developing strong El Niño, the drought conditions there will likely only get worse; but anxious to see how they navigate the lack of rainfall.
You have truly inspired me to start my own ranch/farm after I leave wild lands fire fighting. I'm only doing the fire fighting to save up money for land, but seriously doing this is my souls desire since I was a ranch hand and thank you for all the information you have provided. It gives me drive to know even tho I started out a poor city boy this can be done. May God bless your soul and futer my dear.
Wow! Where do you live that has wild fires? I'm in GA.
@@breesechick Reno Nevada. Tahoe and Cali have alot of fires in the spring and summer.
Excited to see the 3 upcoming videos 😃
I'll be tuning in for all of them. I am very interested to learn more on raising pasture sheep in drought and dry arid climates. This is what has been holding be back from starting my own flock.
I'm excited to see all of them.
As someone working in the Regen field with dorper farmers in the Karoo desert (South Africa), I'm excited to watch ALL of the episodes in this series! 🎉
Super excited to hear more about the Macintyre Brooke Lamb. Especially their direct-to-consumer marketing. I'm sure that I'll learn a lot from all three videos!
So excited for this content!
Wow! What an awesome experience that must have been. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
Looking forward to seeing & learning from all the episodes.
This is totally cool! Can't wait to see what you've done and what you share!
Blessings ❤
Can't wait to share more soon!
I'm really looking forward to the episode showing the farm that has created a true income within three years.
I'm also excited about the first generation farmers raising the White Sheep.
Actually, each episode looks like there's some takeaway.
Thank you for sharing so freely!
I'm excited to see the McIntyre Brooks video! This is very interesting to see how this can be done even in the deserts of the world! Looks like an incredible trip.
Excellent looking forward to each one. Marketing hs always been a huge obstacle to Farmers/Ranchers eager to see and hear of the approaches you and these innovators are using. Great work Thank you
I love that you got to experience this with siblings! I'm most looking forward to the third stop with Sophie talking about the direct to consumer box lamb sales.
I'm excited to watch all 3. The one that grabs my attention is the Dorper Stud farm.
Looking forward to the Macintyre Brooke Lamb episode. Love how creative they are with direct to consumer. Can't wait!
Beautiful trip! Enjoy every moment of your life and every opportunity presented to you. 🙏❤️👍
Australia is a second home to me, I just returned home from Australia a week ago. I am looking forward to your full episode!!!
So happy for you and yours! Looking forward to all info you care to share. Can hardly wait to get your book here. Hope to see the McIntyre Brook lamb vid most - well... actually impatiently awaiting to see all of them! Hurry, hurry! I need all this info last year! Have fun!
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your entry :).
Oh, I'm most excited for the Dec 1st release! 🥳
Really looking forward to seeing the McIntire Brook video.
After watching your videos you've inspired me to take up sheep farming in the UK. I am getting land and licence sorted and hopefully have some ewes after Christmas.
Thank you so much for your great content. God bless you and your family
Welcome to Oz, hope you enjoyed your time here.
Wish I had have known you were down under. We fondly remember australia “riding on the sheeps back” on our farm growing up
Looking forward to this series. 😁
Definitely hard to pick one to say I'm looking forward to most! All look like a wealth of information but I'd have to say the stud farm has probably peaked my interest most. Thanks so much for your wonderful content, God bless!
Great video! Beautiful shots! Looking forward to the Bellevue Dorper episode. Also, been enjoying your amazing book!! Wonderful job🎉 God bless!
So excited to learn about grazing to mitigate wild land fires! I live in northwest Montana where we’ve had drought conditions more often than not during the past few decades, and wild fires are an annual issue.
From my mentors at TCU Ranch Management, John C Merrill, James Link, Kerry Cornelius: " Take half, leave half". This means forage base and the ability to rotate pastures or range are the keys to sustainability. We market our grass through the animal. If you can, cull the bottom 10 to 15% producers in your herd or flock and you can really improve efficiencies quickly. Also, set breeding seasons allow you to track the inefficient animals and get lot load premiums plus more favorable terms for shrink if that's included in the contract. Love your channel, got on it with your segment on Amos Miller in Pennsylvania. Thank you for covering that growing threat to our food security, keep up the good work!
Macintyre Brook lamb. Thank you for all the wonderful videos, they have helped me a lot with my 15 head pastured sheep operation.
Wow, I’m impressed. You went to learn how the principles you believe in work in larger scale sheep operations that thrive in some of the harshest conditions on the planet. I am looking forward to the upcoming videos.
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your comment :).
What a wonderful trip for you and your siblings! I’m looking forward most to the Macintire Brook episode to learn about their marketing, but also looking forward to learning during the 2nd episode how they deal with little rain.
Can't wait to share more! Thanks for your entry and I'm excited to choose a winner :).
What a fun adventure! Memories none of you will forget ❤ I'm excited to see MacIntyre Brooke Lamb
Can't wait to see all 3 but if I have to pick 1 that I'm really looking forward to it would be the Macintyre Brooke Lamb. Our area of SW Kansas is extremely dry. We have a smidge under 30 acre farmstead that we purchased a few years ago and have been cleaning it up and hoping to bring back to life. We are nearly done with all perimeter fencing and have a contact when we are ready for some Dorper sheep. I recently read your book! Loved everything about it... the scripture, the pictures, the easy instructions and information. We are also followers of Joel Salatin's! So so thankful for all that you share!
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your entry :).
I’m so exited for more videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excited to see the Australian side of farming!!
Most excited to see the video about sheep in Southern California
Miss Grace.... you hit 100k subscribers 🎉 wow! Congratulations!!! ❤
I’ll never forget you were #18!!!!!! Thank you, Mr. Jerry!!
This is SO COOL! I absolutely love that you decided to tour another country, A+ Shepherdess!! Its so inspiring and mentally transformative to see other farmers and how they are positively impacting the agricultural and ecological systems of this world! Well done 👍 Also, I would like to mention that I feel this pull to raise pasture raised animals and I am at the very beginning stages. I have the farm, finally our tiny home, but still working on aquiring fencing. I truly believe though that God led me to your channel as I have been discouraged and needed a reminder that He still has His plan for my life even if its not in the timing I would wish. Your videos have helped me to continue to learn while I wait for the resources I need and Gods direction! Keep up the amazing work!!
I can’t wait to see the whole series. Especially the December 1st ish episode.
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your entry :).
Looking forward to the Macintyre Brooke Lamb episode. As a small-scale, fledgling shepherd, selling direct-to-consumer is a model I would like to eventually implement. So, learning more about how others do it is always interesting.
Thanks for all of the views and the views in the hot air balloon ride must have been breathtaking! Thanks for taking us along with! Have some good Roo jerky? It’s good. Just say’n 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Looking forward to the extreme drought ranch tour because that's what we get a lot of here in texas and could be a competitive edge in a cattle heavy market.
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your entry :).
@@theShepherdess happy to offer support. Your 1-hour farm interview in Rockwall was A. A mind blower that there is someone that is doing what I want to do on my way to work and B. A very formative guide on how to operate.
I’m excited for the Bellevue episode the most!
Knowledge is priceless! Hope the experience was excellent
Yes!! I'm so excited to share everything I learned.
👍👍👏 Totally awesome. You are doing the purest form of research for your subject. Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your comment :).
Really looking forward to the episode about the direct to consumer business!
So looking forward to the Bellevue video!
As a fellow north east texan and someone that grew up in the ranching industry, I love getting to see how other run their operations. Both my husband and I were raised in Red River Co on large cattle ranches but when we moved towards the McKinney area for his job 17 yrs ago we bought 5 acres. We started raising dairy goats, now days we still have our dairy goats but also boer and sheep. We are still figuring the sheep out lol but with the knowledge of others we have learned a lot. I will say the sheep are easier than goats but I wouldn't take for our little herd. Everyday they teach you something new
Excellent video enjoyed very much thanks for sharing
You should have come to see us on our farm in Bundaberg….not far from Brisbane. We’re just starting up in dorper sheep. Maybe next time.
I very much enjoy your videos! Your spirit and enthusiasm just sparkles. Love the scripture references as well. God bless you, young lady!
Thats such an awesome sibling trip!!!
It was double the blessing to be able to enjoy it together!
So funny bout the sandwiches! Been there done that...two ways to fix: a) a jar of pickle spears to split and b) gas station or chick-fil-a packets lol, Beautiful trip what a great thing to have gotten to do with your siblings too! Can't wait to see the full video interviews! There was one guy I'd seen on a channel long ago, I believe he is in Texas, raises white sheep, processes his own on the farm and does farm meals on site and pre-sells the lamb too I wish I remembered his name, I remember he is a Veteran but I can't remember his name or who interviewed him back in the day. That last meal there looked amazing *drooling* so did the real pies at the beginning. Everything begins and ends with food :) LOL Ciao
YES! The food is 1/2 the experience for me... LOL!
I want to make a trip to Australia one day myself! Looks like a lot of fun! Good video btw!
I look forward to all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to share more! Thanks for entering the giveaway!
Mcintyre Brooke! Very nice video and love your content. If everything goes well I will have some sheep this year.
Loved MacIntyre Brooke Farm!! courageous & love the fresh box lamb business plan. I commend you on sharing this priceless info. I love it!! I would love to be able to this successful.....maybe someday
very eager to start our farm here in central Texas
Can't wait to watch the video on Bellevue Dorper!
I can't wait to share more! Thanks for entering the giveaway!
So excited for this video. I live in Australia and I'm a big fan of Joel Salatin and Greg Judy. What I have always wondered, is if their methods can translate to Australia. I can't wait to see what you learned! God bless :)
Can't wait to share more soon! Thanks for your entry :).
Welcome!!
Dry climate is a small rumenant dream because of the decreased parasite load
Although fly strike is an issue here.
@@jmc8577 like boat fly? What is the name of the parasite that causes the issue?
Yes!
I can’t wait for Sophie at McIntyre Farm! I raise Australian Whites in Central, Arkansas!
You are doing amazing on this channel!
Thank you so much for your support!!
Australia is one of my three favorite places to visit in the world (+ Ireland and Slovakia). The people are so friendly there.
Very much looking forward to the last "station," Macintyre's. My Dad and I spent a month down under years ago- it changed his outlook on dairying and farming generally, after doing it his whole life. And it led to me trying to get back into farming from the trades now at 33. Eagerly awaiting your marketing guru take on these outfits!
Congrats! You are the winner of my Australia Souvenir Bundle! Email me at shepherdess@shepherdess.com with your mailing address and I'll send it to you :)
Mate... if you blokes reckon sheep are hard to cultivate in a drought you wanna try roundin' up a flock of tree-kangaroo's for shearing... - I'm joking of course. Lovely video, great to see your smiles as you toured. Our station owners have been through a lot, thank you for coming, all the best
Wow!
Bless!!
So excited for the videos for Macintyre Brooke Lamb to release!!!!!!!!!!1
Super cool you could go with your sibs and make memories for a lifetime!! Tough choice, but looking forward to the Bellevue episode. cheers! (to bad you didn't see the Great barrier reef)
Can’t wait to see this. McIntyre Brooke lamb intrigues me the most.
I can't wait to share more! Thanks for entering the giveaway!
I'm excited for all three videos, but I raise sheep in California so I'm always interested to see what other ranchers are doing here.
I'm very interested to learn about the fire prevention with sheep and the direct to consumer meat.
Looking forward to seeing the Bellevue Dorper Episode!
I can't wait to share more! Thanks for entering the giveaway!
Looking forward to the Bellevue episode.
As an Aussie cant wait to watch this. On my way in town / passenger (no internet)
I can't wait to share more!
You'll have to make a trip to east Kentucky next. I am a member of SEKSPA (South East Kentucky Sheep Producers Association) even though I don't have sheep yet. They are trying to bring back the popularity of Kentucky raised lamb. They are also promoting using sheep to reclaim old strip mines.
Where in E Kentucky? I’m in Lincoln county - more Central Kentucky but still! I raise dairy sheep!
I want to do something like this but visit the Dairy Shepherds I met globally. Not even sure how to start that kind of project but someday I’ll get it figured out!
I also enjoyed the beach clips in CA because I think that’s the same beach I used to visit when I lived in CA!!!
Also looking forward to hearing more about Bellevue Station !
@@whoopsydaisyfarm2820 I believe they cover east of Daniel Boone forest. I think most of the members raise hair sheep. Right now I raise Kiko goats.
Half of my family lives in Australia. Insane to see you going there, as I’ve been talking to them about goat herding there vs here in a similar study of environment. Excited to see others exploring alternative farming and researching other countries methods 💛 I am most excited to see… all of them! So glad you’re on this path 🫶
James 1:17. Amen and thanks for the great job you're doing of bringing all this hard working farmers from around the world. You are opening many eyes especially here in the developing world on modern best practice in sheep farming. Kudos
Great work.
I want to see all three episodes, but I feel like the most beneficial one for me will likely be the MacIntyre Brook Lamb farm video ;)
