I religiously listen to every Dodger heads show, but I think my interest is most peaked when Lance comes on. His perspective is so unique and I find his pitching analysis to be fascinating. Great show again guys. Go Dodgers!
I have heard @LanceBroz a few times now and he is the most erudite pitching analyst I have heard, largely because he explains the particulars in ways us fans can comprehend. Well done, Lance.
Regarding the walk rate: i've heard people say the one weak point (or the non-elite aspect) of the Dodgers is their defense, particularly in corner outfield and 3B. Well, walks require no defense. Neither do strike outs. Lowering exit velocity and limiting barrels likely means easier ball to field. So if your defense isn't elite, minimize their exposure (i.e. you don't want ground balls and line drives)
That's not true, though. Freddie's elite, Muncy's solid, and the one thing we know about Kim is that he can play D. The wild card is Mookie, but even if he's just above average, that's a solid infield that will turn a lot of DPs and force outs.
Thanks for the great discussion. What boggles my mind are Mets Fans crying about how they’re not going to watch any baseball this year. Wait a second. Poor Steve plunked down how much money , and you’re not going to watch a single game because the Dodgers MIGHT beat the Mets in the NLCS??? Good Lord… Thanks again Gents!
I've been saying it before he was posted that I felt like Roki was being put on a pedestal because of his talent. Yeah, he could be amazing right away, but chances are he's going to have some growing pains and could very likely be bitten by the injury bug regardless of what team he chose. Of course, now that he chose the Dodgers, haters are gonna blame the Dodgers for breaking him if he does get hurt saying things like "see, you should've gone to *insert team they're a fan of here* (likely Padres) instead." My thoughts on that would be, that wouldn't the Dodgers also have a lot of recent experience bringing pitchers back coming off of injury? What better place than there to rehab him?
The one thing I have to take issue with regarding the small market or family owned teams is that it's not like they have been very competitive in the last 30 years either. No reason why any team in the league should have a payroll under 100m. 120 to 140 should be the floor.
Does Lance even know what he's talking about re: Sasaki?? Him questioning Sasaki's seriousness and truthfulness cuz he wasn't signed early by November 30th is totally not how things work - Chiba Lotte Marines had to post Sasaki first to allow him to even consider signing, and they only posted on Nov 9, which meant that Sasaki could only sign on Jan 15 when international free agent signing began. So Lance's whole rant about Sasaki not being "truthful" about wanting to be an excellent player cuz he didn't sign by, say, Nov 30 is just completely off base and belies some serious lack of knowledge.
Thanks for me having me! Always fun. 👍
Lance Dodgers love big brains, interested in helping us win more Championships? Always a pleasure!

Any day that we have Lance on is a good day. Thanks for the talk, guys!
thanks for watching!
@DodgerBlue1958 getting lance on is like getting 1998 Kobe Bryant on. Dude is on his way to superstardom, make sure you treat him well
Big ups to Lance for great baseball breakdowns ⚾️💪🏽
One of my favorite baseball minds out there, great ep 👍
appreciate your support!
Lance's analysis is really appreciated; so, please more Lance on your show.

Outstanding interview. With so much fluff in the last few weeks around Roki, it's great to finally get some real analysis.
Lance's insights are the best! Jeff, great discussion!
Thanks for the amazing content! So hyped for the upcoming season!

Lance makes me feel like I don't know anything about baseball.
I wonder if the dodgers plan to add more pitches to Sasaki’s arsenal. Sinker, Cutter, maybe a sweeper version of his hard slider 🤔? Future is bright!

Lance should be a regular on mlb network

If that happens them both being relievers they failed those two signings must be starting pitchers
Roki Saski, Shohel Ohotani Yoshinabu Yamamoto, The Dodgers Just Made Ghidorah they should make them a shirt 👕 ha,ha
