Thanks for posting this on brass knucks. As a bartender in some really rough places I saw a lot of fights with brass knucks, some people hurt very badly, thus proving their effectiveness in devastation. Brass knucks were always used as a first strike (sucker punch) weapon. Never seen them used in self defense or to return a punch. I do remember one humorous fight involving brass knucks. There was a very small guy, stood about 4 foot 10 with elevators on maybe weight about 110 or so. He hated his nick names of "midget" and "short shitt" and was getting an attitude. One night he gets into it with a large and mean cowboy, about 6 foot and a good 250 pounds. Midget takes a swing the cowboy, grazing face and knocking him backwards. As the cowboy was hitting the floor he drew his pistol and shot Midgets privates off. I personally think that was just dumb luck. I could not believe the amount of blood from that wound surprised that midget survived. The result that Midget lost all his stuff. He ended up with a nickname of "Balless". He only came back to the bar a few times after that. I think he moved out of the area.
In all seriousness though, without even having watched it, looking at that array of brass knuckles spread out before him, I have 100% confidence in his knowledge of brass knuckles and commitment to informing others as to what qualities to look for in a good pair. I mean, there actually can't be any denying that. And, that's what I was looking for! So thanks a lot, man, going to watch this and get a recommendation for some good ones without a doubt!
I bought some from Weapons Universe expecting them to be a cheap piece of crap but nope I actually got some real solid brass knuckles.

In that regard I have to be honest I agree with the law, brass knuckles aren't a defensive tool, you aren't going to be getting pumbled or held at gun point with the ability to comfortably slide knuckles on and attack your assailant

I don't know if you read the comments, but if you could make videos for each category of knuckles on your site, comparing size and weight, that would help a lot. You have the same picture for two different knuckles, with the same dimensions, but the weight is three times more on one. They both claim to be real brass, and I would like to see how one is different before buying.
Now that I see how to hold knuckles they make more sense.

Would love some more detailed videos showcasing the knuckles available on your site. Especially comparing the Robbie Dalton's, regulars , heavy duty, massive and super massive. Having trouble finding one that fits my hand. Have tried the Dalton spiked ones and the traditional real brass nether fit my hand.

Don’t buy CHEAP!!! They’re either too heavy to control, or they fold around your hand like putty. Buy 52100 stainless, and have them milled to spec. You can even have your firearms permit amended to carry. Anything under $200 is a scary paperweight.

( since Plastic ones are deemed as Collector Items and Aluminum ones are usually sold as Paper weights.)

Yes with a good blow to any bones you can break them. Any vulnerable areas can kill a person or wound them severely.
I love your knuckles! I collect brass knuckles, and have bought several sets from you. I have two Robbie Dalton blanks I'd like to get engraved - is that something you do after sale? I have only one small gripe - I bought the 1-pound Punisher knuckles, and the Punisher image faded to near-invisibility the first time I cleaned the knuckles. I use Brasso, so please let me know if that's the cause. The Punisher knuckles are 15.4 ounces, and fit in my hand just a little bit better than the Robbie Dalton 15 ounce models. It's amazing how such a little difference can affect the fit. Lastly, I also have two American Made knuckles, and those are my show pieces. I like the way the edges are rounded off on the Robbie Dalton and Punisher knuckles - the American Made knuckles are much sharper at the edges - but all of them work extremely well (I've tested them, mostly on wood to reduce damage).
For anyone thinking of using brass knuckles as a defense weapon, let me just say this - they are by far my favorite. We need to change our laws so brass knuckles are legal to carry in more places. I'm lucky to live in the one city in my state that they're legal. These are the reasons I favor brass knuckles over all other weapons besides guns...
#1 - So easy to carry. Just slip them in your pocket with the finger holes facing down, and you can reach in and pull them out, ready for action.
#2 - Potentially non-lethal - just avoid the head. If you're using a knife, even a small stab has the potential to kill someone. With knuckles, you can turn lethal force on and off by avoiding or targeting the head. Yes, there's always the outside chance someone will still die, but the option is there.
#3 - Knuckles don't break, snap apart, and are almost impossible to take from you. Pull out an extendable baton, and you'll quickly find out that people can easily take it from you.
You're also not limited to using brass knuckles to punch. If you've ever used a kubaton, you'll know the power of a hammer strike with one. Well, knuckles are great for that angle, too.
I also enjoy cleaning my knuckles. I get micro-fiber towels from Walmart and some Brasso, and every couple days I clean the tarnish from them. The routine cleaning keeps my hands very familiar with the knuckles. Just as it's important to disassemble and clean your guns regularly, this also keeps up a relationship between you and your weapon, and that's important. In the unlikely event that you need to use knuckles for a real-life threat, your hand should know the fit and feel of the knuckles extremely well. And this (nearly) goes without saying, but you need to occasionally HIT something with the knuckles to understand how that feels. Just consider how stupid it would be to trust your life to a gun you don't occasionally take to the target range.

Some are made with plastic and carbon in an attempt to get around the law. It doesn't matter though because they are against the law in many states no matter what they are made of. You can get an attempted murder charge in California if you choose to hit someone while wearing brass knuckles/knuckledusters

@@ercushkakulmetov7458 Too heavy is too heavy, but weight does make a difference on impact. It has to do with mass and density of impact. A lot of guys prefer what they call pounders, meaning there at least one pound. Personally, I like something a slightly lighter, but not paper light. Best of luck.

Hello @WEAPONSUNIVERSE, I have a little problem which leads me to a qiestion of your expertise. I've recently moved into a neighborhood that isn't very good, there's alot of fights between grown men (who know each other and are friends) but they get drunk and ya. I was talking to a neighbor and I told him I'm 3/4 Greek & 1/4 mexican, my neighborhood is a Mexican neighborhood and now all of a sudden I'm hearing that the block's "pod boss" if u've ever been locked up is accusing me of being a fake mexican or thinks I'm lying and has a problem with me now, I'm not a violent man, I've done MMA, wrestling, boxing, traditional martial arts, and bjj, therefore I'm humble, I have NO reason to want to fight ANYONE! BUT...I will protect myself and my loved ones faster than a bullet flies and I need to get a good pair of brass kuckles. I was thinking about what would be best for me, a lighter pair to keep my hand speed fast? Or just go with a heavier pair & my hand speed will still NOT really be a problem. So just let me know what you think. I'm not a huge guy, I'm only 5'9" and I weigh 189 lbs, and I'm just Athletic from all the martial arts and other sports I played my entire life, I'm 33 now. Hopefully nothing comes of this situation & I'm gna keeep a low profile for a week or so til my brass knuckles come in the mail. Oh ALSO VERY IMPORTANT, I do have very small brittle hands due to all.the times I've broken them. So I'd like it if I had a choice of a forgiving brass knuckle that will protect my already VERY brittle smal fingers, palms, hands, fists, & knuckles. Thank you for your time.

The fuck is wrong with you, so desperate to use brass knuckles. How the fuck do you not understand that they suck as a defensive weapon. Bear spray, pepper spray, or a knife is a million times better than brass knuckles. A knife has multiple uses. Brass knuckles only one, and they are mediocre at BEST.
