I've had a horrible experience with the XT9 - incredibly unstable.
It has now completely stopped working - resetting does nothing. The one positive is the 1 year warranty in which getting a refund through Amazon was an incredibly easy process. Still regret the many hours I spent on troubleshooting this though.
Apparently a lot of Redditors are having similar issues.

I haven't found an answer for myself, maybe someone can tell me. I have ZenWIFI xt8, I want to connect it throughout the house as one network.
But, from the provider I have a modem with WIFI, to which I connect ZenWIFI xt8, then ZenWIFI xt8 create their own network around the house.
And it turns out that from the provider I have 1 WIFI with my own network, and from xt8 I have my own Mesh system.
What's wrong and how can I do it as one with my provider.
I need ZenWIFI xt8 switching technology-the device itself chooses which communication channel better

I am having the same problem… everything works it's just a pain having two networks.

Have you tried to do an IP pass through your ISP modem? Doing this will turn off the WiFi from the ISP provided gateway (modem) thus allowing your XT8 be the only network

I think if you have a modem/router combo from your ISP already, you need to set that modem in Bridge / Gateway Mode, and then use your XT8 to be the only WiFi network in Router Mode. Otherwise, I think you would have to change your XT8 to AP Mode to use it as just an “Access Point” with your modem/router. In AP.Mode, you will lose some functionality options for the XT8.

Is there any printed guide explaining how to navigate the GUI?

I cannot see a printed guide on Asus website they only have the quick start guide: dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/ZenWiFi_XT9/E19844_ZenWiFi_XT9_one-page_2PK_QSG_WEB.pdf?model=zenwifi%20xt9 . I am planning to do a video on the GUI soon :)

Hi great video. Quick question. 13:26 If we configured all the routers bands to use same SSID, do we still need to enable the AiMesh WiFi function, or keep it to default Router Mode? The second node already has strong wireless backhaul to the main router. And I only have one main router and one secondary router.

It would be best to still enable the Asus AiMesh even if you have same SSID across the routers. I only say this because this will help with better QoS support and WiFi handover support when moving across the routers with a device like a mobile or tablet.

I am really struggling to set this equipment up to my ASUS ax11000 ROG rapture.
I basically want all the boxes to be nodes on my network and then connect everything to that wireless like I did with my bt whole home discs

If you have bought them it packs of two they will from the factory be paired to each other. Best to reset one at a time and then once on start the search on the AX11000 connect that node. Then switch on the second and reset XT9 and then connect like before to the AX11000, I find it best to use the web GUI than the Asus App.

Hope you got it working. Just got it and it was a breeze. Follow directions and set up the AiMesh next to AX11000 and use app to set AiMesh. Once it pairs you. An then move it to where you want and plug it in again. Wait 2 minutes and it will find the main router and set as node.
