Good video, just wanted to say thanks for the ECW server. Opened my eyes to multiplayer on DCS and its all I play now. The dots mod for spotting in 2k has made a world of difference.
@@rollingpin31 Improved Dots mod. Does not pass integrity check for MP, but its needed if playing in 2k since ED cant figure out how to get spotting done correctly.
I suspect that they will continue to be in the server with limited numbers; both did serve during the tail end of the Cold War (the ‘80s). A limited number of F-14s recreates Iran’s situation during the Iran-Iraq War…
The tomcat was introduced in '74, at which point the Vietnamese had a handful of MiG-19s and Chinese J-6s. So it would not have been _completely_ impossible for them to see each other, though it was only the Phantom that ever shot down the 19s.
Am surprised some of those missiles tracked. I would not even have shot the last one, I've had must better aspect shots that the Aim9 didn't track. Is the Redfor missile that much better? (I never play redfor)
It really depends on the module. The R-60M on the frogfoot acts like a modern all aspect, while the R-60M on the L-39 regularly misses A-10s for no reason.
The fact that they are actually playing in multiplayer is a good thing really. 90% or so of the DCS community stays in Single player forever. I'd rather have some guys fail a bit in MP, than never take the step. When I pick up a new module I spend some ours in SP just for the cold start and weapons systems, then I take it to MP and learn the rest there the hard way.
You may notice that some of these clips are old. I was sitting on these so that is why you see old overlord footage in here. Cleaning out the HD!

6 months??
please re add the r530f em because the mirage feels very underwealming without it

Maybe I was the only one who didn't know, but GCI = Ground Controlled Interception in case anyone was wondering.
I think you might be the only one.
@@RedTail1-1he was definitely not the only one

I dont know if anyone else does this but with a slider on my hotas i max out my fov to make targets appear bigger without the mod it really does help
@@rollingpin31 im going to have to look into that.
I really enjoy these “out in the wild” type fights
Thanks for the awesome server ligma I spend the entire day looking forward to coming home from work and getting on the server.
Great video and I enjoyed the editing on this video in particular.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Enigma sounds so happy in this video.
Ace flying Enigma. great stuff!
man, some of these tomcats really need to spend some time learning acm 😬. I'd be embarrassed if any of these were me
awesome vid and very insightfull! Thank you Enigma! 🤓
Great vid, I really need to stop procrastinating and stop by your server.
So my big question is will the MIG-29 and Tomcat be removed from the server when the eventual Mig-23 and F-4's come out?

Yes, the r3s turns much better than the aim9b

R3s can turn on a sixpence. Shit range tho
H'mmm, they don't look like monsters, more like sitting ducks.
The pilots played the F-14 in the worst way possible😂
So limited you don't even let it fly in the Caucasus mission...
How did you get rid of the gunsight camera?
In the main menu under special options
@@Enigma89 I had no idea it was an option. Thanks!
where , and how to get to this server?
Is it possible to earn points on redfor and spend them on blufor to get the tomcat?
Yes
Played on ECW few times, Mirage mostly, was wondering if F1 gets any Fox-1's. Never been able to arm them to the F1.
Cheers.
EE for 35 points on Syria

Great👍
Non FC3 aircraft……… Interesting choice
All of those tomcats should stop flying the jet and go back into single player for a bit.

Single player is negative training. It's good they are practicing online
bruh
yeah try that against a decent player.
Tomcat as a dogfighter is highly overrated. Moreso, DCS F-14 module performs actually better than real life Tomcats
