Certainly not in any capacity as an official US government representative, although as a former US President, he is a statesman. I look at this another way perhaps, Obama is still very close to Biden. Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and Biden, proud Irish Catholic, was celebrating at the White House with the Kennedy clan minus RFK Jr. (who decide to run against Biden against his family’s wishes). So in a massive show of support, Irish America was standing at the White House. Perhaps this was the best Britain could get given the occasion. For the record, Obama is Irish as well though 😂.
