Those round connectors are RCA connectors. They are designed to be used with an amplifier. I don't think that radio made enough power to drive external speakers. It's just a preamp.
I have same van and need to replace radio, so this will be helpful to look back on. Thanks 🙏🏻
That came out nice!
Hello Marco, I went the easy way, got 2 bluetooth Tribit StormBox Micro sepeaker and intall it in the truck.. :)
i have this radio and it works great
Did you use all four of the acty radio wires for it? I get the speaker wires, I just can’t get which wires go where and if I use all four
That intro got my attention😁WTF!!! Nice video👍🏽
Thanks for watching
Good video thank you for sharing. And just in case you have the plug in with the 4 connectors and you also have the 2 plug in and that plug in has constant 12v just a heads up that is what I use for my radio in my acty also there is a company that makes factory connectors and you can use for a plug and play for any radio again great video
Yes, that’s what I used for ACC 12 volts. For some reason in my car that 2 wire plug was taped up, but then I found it.
Do you have a pic of the wires all matched up? I understand the speaker wiring but I can’t understand where the 4 wires go to, I know I don’t use the power antenna but I’m not sure about the others. I bought the exact radio as well as the same speakers.
Get yourself a voltmeter, you can get a really cheap one from harbor freight. Red wire is 12v acc, that means it only gets power when you turn the ignition key to the on position. The yellow wire is constant 12v, that always has power and keeps the memory on your radio, black is ground. Sorry I don’t have a picture. You can tap into the wires going into the factory unit and check for voltage. Watch the video at the 10:30 mark for the wire connections…thanks and good luck
Were you factory speaker wires not working? Is that why you reran new wires? I have mine all connected and functional but I am not getting any audio to my speakers using the factory wires.
Since the Acty only has one speaker the factory radio does not have stereo sound. Since I added a speaker to the passenger side and needed to do new wiring anyway, I just rewired both sides…thanks for watching and good luck
@@MarcoCerqueira I actually have tow factory speakers. Any clue why they would not be getting sound when just simply wired and replacing the factory speakers?
I hate to be that guy. But dude you should of googled the dash removal for the truck. Also RCA plugs are for sending signal to an amp.
You should seek help in this stuff as not to destroy your truck, electrical system or start a fire.
The radio removal was disturbing to watch...there's 2 bolts accessed by removing the ashtray,,takes about 2 mins
Yes hindsight is 20/20. When I made this video back in 2020 there wasn’t much info out there. Thankfully there is a growing and strong community that is there to support others that are new to these great and fun vehicles.
What spacers did you use, and what length screw did you end up using for the driver side door? O have these speakers and haven't had a chance to mount them yet.
Use the correct speaker spacers as there designed specifically for this reason..4" speaker with a 4" spacer works fine and all holes line up and original screws are good to go...I chose a 43mm depth speaker any deeper and it will interfere with the door panel
can you post a link for that radio?
Link is in the video description
