- In this video I show how to Install and set up a Solar Powered Air Pump into your Pond. I also make a housing for the Pump and Solar panel for improved presentation and to prolong the life of the Pump. These are great for oxygenating a garden pond or water feature.

Thanks and good luck 🤞🏻
I now want a pond!
Thanks Michael. Yea ponds are cool! 🐟
Top job! I had one of these I gave it to a friend who's pond went bad - smelly and not good he used it and it sorted his pond right out! Great video very therapeutic!
Thanks Thomas 👍🙂
Nice tidy and fun project Phill.
Cheers Karl yea it's working a treat especially with all this sunny weather ⛅
Excellent video, full of information, thank you
Cheers your welcome 👍🏻
Well made
Thanks John 👍
Good idea
cheers
Nice job
Thanks Gavin 👍
Love the vid very helpful as im needing to do this to my pond, one suggestion id have is the roof and top of the post would benefit more being at an angle to help water run off, flat surfaces the water will lie
Thanks 👍 with the roof being so tiny, it doesn't seem to hold water. It's working quite well it's working great rite now so it went through the whole winter just fine. I made the roof flat just because it's so small.
Looks great! May I ask how the solar panel copes with humidty and rain?
Well, It's all still working great after a couple of years so it's all doing just fine.
Nice setup. It'd be nice if the device also changed a battery so it could run in the evening
Thanks. Yes that would be good. I'm sure you can probably buy pumps that have this feature. This is only a basic model.
@@PhillWyattProjects There's one unknown Chinese brand on ebay sold by multiple vendors, but it has a lot of functional parts and I doubt it would last.
After how long do you change the pond water?
I never change the water. I dilute it with large amounts of rain water from time to time. Once a year I remove excess silt from the bottom. I have not had a fish die in 7 years.
Mine as stopped working
Mine worked well although I have since filled in the pond and sold the pump.
Do you have a filter
No I used to but I removed it. I annually clean out the pond manually.
is the pump noisy?
I can hear it when it's sunny but it's not loud. Just hums.
Thanks. Just cleaned out my small pond and will definitely get one to help keep the pond healthy.
Is it still working?
Yes surprisingly it is still working just fine.
Is it still working
Surprisingly yes it's still working well.
Is it still working?
Yes it's still working just fine which I'm surprised about.
