"These episodes are really emotionally draining". Teddy said this just when the Tripple Tearjerker Threat (16-17-18) was about to begin O_o. Amazing reactions
4 eps in a span of less than 2 hours! What did I do to deserve such gift 😭❤️ Thank you so much, watching your reactions makes my day. You are an amazing person. Much love ❤️
You could see that Sasha and Connie crying over Reiner was making it hard for Jean to keep it together himself. He wasn't just annoyed at them for being emotional, he was conflicted as well. Him yelling at them was sort of like a 'Don't cry, you're gonna make me cry' moment. At least that's how I read his voice and facial expressions.
@@ОбразцовТимофей I think one of the most amazing things about AoT is that it has projections to reality, with politics and intensity of emotions and the struggles ppl face seeking freedom and fighting cruelty and injustice.
Truly one of the best. What makes it even better was his voice acting. The way he delivered the message with that tone is enough to make us feel so much emotions 🔥
@@amr8113thats one of the reasons why we as humans relate and are fond of this anime. It’s no coincidence we’re invested and connected to it so deeply, this story is from humans to humans. Aside from Titans this show is a realistic sublime creation of art.
Well, there you have it Teddy.. *"Perfect Game"* One of the Top 3 HIGHEST RATED Television episodes of ALL time in IMBD, and is ranked #3. This episode solidified Erwin Smith as the greatest commander in fiction. That suicide-change sequence alone was incredible. Gut-wrenching final talk with Levi kneeling down on his one knee to Erwin. What hurts the most is the fact that Erwin, and his dream to see the truth, is just right there. So close, and he could not because of their situation. In OVA No Regrets, Erwin says to Levi "Memories of regret will only dull your future decisions. And then you'll begin to let others make your decisions for you. All that's left for you then is to die." Then in this episode, Erwin starts to have feelings of regret. Levi says to Erwin "I'm making the choice. Give up on your dream and die." It's amazing that foreshadowing came full circle all the way back from No Regrets. Incredible storytelling. The sense of dread and tension is so palpable it's not even funny. Erwin and Levi's relationship is most definitely one of my favorites out of the entirety of the show. The amount of respect shown towards one another to both of them is amazing. Levi getting down on one knee and telling Erwin to lay down his life and die.. I cried as well. Also the music and willingness of Levi to try and take out the Beast Titan himself truly shows his character. The direction this episode was phenomenal as well. The sounds and shots of the bell being destroyed, the colors, that absolutely beautiful shot of Levi overlooking the charge was stunning. I'm so glad about these things and details, and Isayama's great story telling and are able to appreciate it just as much. Amazing reaction!
Levi also said that he would be the one to take Erwi's life. He might have forgotten but he did exactly that in the end. I also noticed that everyone's plan including themselves going for a suicide charge. Levi's plan was about him going for the beast titan alone to maybe buy some time for the others to flee (he probably won't survive). Erwin's plan was about him and the rookies distracting the beast so that Levi can take it down. And there's someone else's plan I don't want to spoil here since it's not revealed yet in these two episodes. They're all dedicating their lives for humanity. These are some true heros.
In the OVA no regret Erwin told Levi about how regret dull your decision and it will let others make the decisions for you.. now Erwin had a feeling of regret so Levi said to him "I'm making the choice. Give up on your dream and die" Incredible storytelling.
You're one of the few reactors who picked up that the 'black liquid' was coffee, and who recognized the coffee grinder (I guess people are too used to keurigs or pre-ground coffee these days). Coffee was teased as early as S2, when we saw the coffee grinder at the abandoned camp at Utgard castle (it was even featured prominently in the OP). Coffee only grows in tropical climates, which means it must have come from somewhere outside the temperate climes of the Walls. Along with the canned herring in S2, that was Isayama hinting at the larger world he was building.
@@amr8113 Mikasa also getting her ass handed to her by Bertholdt with one hell of a kick even tho she was top 1 in the cadets. Bertholdt showed her he can fight too and he ain’t no pushover and can definitely now finally hold his own for once.
@@amr8113 For once he actually grew up and got out of the shell he was in and started to actually be more independent. Bertholdt was top 3 in the cadets and even held his own against Mikasa. He also is possibly better than Reiner just that he might have not been able to show it before because he was never trying to compete much and wasn’t pushing himself but he might actually be better than Reiner in one to one sword combat. But that’s just me speculating. Bertholdt is definitely more stable and collected than Reiner that’s for sure he also has more clarity on the whole situation.
If u recall the levi no regrets ova about how erwin told a devastated levi not to regret his (levi's) decision to let farlan and isabel join the scouts which led to their deaths, he told levi about how regret dulls ones vision and it leads to people let others make their decisions for them which would inevitably lead to their deaths , in this episode erwin regrets his past decisions allows levi to take the decision for him which leads to erwin's death.
I was really hyped waiting for your reaction to these episodes since last week, thank you, love your reactions! These episodes really drain you emotionally, I know that feel.
Erwin faced deaths so many times but for the first time, this situation/arc too felt like this scene to me is where he is gonna die ... So when I watched this for the first time and saw he got chucked by the rock I dropped on my knees lol t-t
Ah fuck, you have the same reaction like me. I also cried when Erwin charged to his death, and ya, at that point, I am already knowing what would happened to Erwin cuz I am manga reader, but I really can't imagine how good that they animated and produced this sccenario(Even I am already knowing upcoming scene, it still triggered my emotion
Now that you've seen the episode, you should give "Before Lights Out" a listen, which is both the theme of Erwin's charge in episode 16 of S3, and the lyrical version of the Beast Titan's theme "Apetitan". This is one of those moments that really gave you the deepest look into Erwin's psyche. Sure, it's been hinted at for so long that he values proving that his father was right over humanity's victory, but only now do we see the guilt he bears for leading people to their deaths not for humanity's sake, but for his own selfish desires. The English dub had a more comprehensive sentence structure about this: "Does that mean that there was no point in our being born? Would you say that of our slain comrades? What about their lives? Were they meaningless? They were not! Their memory serves as an example to us all! The courageous fallen! The anguished fallen! Their lives have meaning because we the living refuse to forget them! And as we ride to certain death, we trust our successors to do the same for us!" The heart breaking thing about this speech is that is was most likely a lie. Erwin literally just confessed to Levi that he did it all not for humanity, but to prove he was right, and now there he was, telling the recruits to entrust the living to find meaning in their death. Then here we have Levi, bearing the brunt of Erwin's conscience by making the choice to tell those lies for him. "Give up on your dream and die. Lead the recruits straight to hell. I will kill the Beast Titan."
Yep. Reiner has the thickest plot armour and that's probably the only advantage he has as the armoured titan. Sometimes being Isayama's favorite does help you survive impossible situations.
