This is the "SHUT UP" build, imo. Every time you see these elaborate flowing combos get shut down instantly by a metric fuckton of damage, that's the only thing I can think of lmao

Bringing the math to you guys: AoW: Braggart's Roar: +10% Dmg, 10% DmgNegation, 10 Stamina/s Two-Handed-Talisman: +15% Roar Talisman: +15% Highland Axe: +10% Spear Talisman: +15% (on counter attacks) Exalted Flesh: +20%/15% in PvP Armor: 8% (optional at this point) This roughly sums up to a 2,3Dmg multiplier on your heavy attack, slightly less in pvp, not to mention you could use an aura buff like Golden Vow on top. When hitting your opponent during their attack frames (when they are on low defenses due to how piercing dmg works) this is an overkill.

The naked build (Blue Dancer) got better because of the hand to hands. Either of them are the lightest weapon with two very strong AOW that both have hyperarmor and poise break easily. Claws and backhand blades are amazing too but I love using Dryleaf with Alexander's Shard, Blue Dancer, Shattered Stone and whatever defensive talisman helps most. You can make the Black and Fire Knights in Shadow Keep look like posers.
I used to PVP a lot before the DLC with mainly light armor builds, and I can't remember EVER being oneshot by ANY weapon. 80%-90% once or twice, but from full to dead? Yikes.
Oh it was possible. If you buff the Charged R2 of Giant Crusher to the max that does nauseating amounts of damage. Somewhere inbetween 2200-3000 if I remember correctly. However, someone buffing to that extent is only possible if you let them.

I genuinely had people one shot me with just the first hit of rivers because it bled me in one hit. Additionally in invasions you don't spawn in front of the opponent. It's a lot easier to buff without getting hit if they don't even know where you are. But loading screen simulator builds existed in every game before, just sucks that now most builds can do that
This is my favorite build for mid level invasions as well. Usually people don’t have the hp to survive a trade like this (RL80) even deleting high level phantoms this way hitting for around 800-1100. Never gets old one hitting over confident gankers.
I flight player last night using something pretty much like this and got lucky I killed her three times. The old lady screams 😅but the one time she landed a hit she took 75% if my hp. With all the great axes and hammers for this kinda love
This setup but using a STR/ARC build with a poison infused Anchor, wearing the Mushroom Crown and Kindred of Rot talisman, you gain even more AR when poisoning in one R2 and gaining the additional 30% AR boost. The AR on the weapon isn't that mush lower actually
@@johndang897 is the R2 an overhead attack like anchor? That helps with jump ins. Still less damage. No reason to choose a less damage option. Where does it specifically say it has more hyper armor than anchor? Pickaxe uses more stamina as well. Doesn’t matter. Use whichever.
So I just started getting everything together to re-create this build. Even incomplete Braggarts Roar (roar medallion,spear talisman only) my damage is already high
If you can find a way to drop the bull goat talisman you might be able to fit something else (axe talisman would be devastating). I believe you need a minimum of 56 poise to tank at least one hit. A charged R2 would delete almost anyone in one shot.
Can you test a version do this build using the Sword of Milos next? It also deals pierce damage, it's ash is a Roar that's effected by the axe & talisman.
Its buff is less than Braggart's Roar and doesn’t add damage negation and last 20 seconds less. It would be a weaker version of build so what would be the point? It debuffs enemy by 5% in pvp but you would have to activate close enough to them to take affect leaving yourself open for an attack. Plus its R2 is slow.
Colossal Swords should also be able to make this work, albeit without piercing damage. Unless something changed and I wasn't aware, a War Cry/Braggart's Roar Two-Handed R2 true combos into a Two-Handed R1. So similar damage while also freeing up a talisman slot
But you'll miss the benefit of the initial trade by comparison. Because Rust Anchor does pierce damage, having the spear talisman buffs the R2 in a trade since the opponent is forward attacking, but as Gigas has shown, damage resistance to pierce damage also drops when you attack, so on top of the boost form the talisman the opponent is also getting a slight debuff. Then you add on the boosts from Rakshasa's armour, Braggart's Roar, Two handed talisman, Roar Medallion and the Highland Axe, it's no surprise it's like a one hit deletion machine. The Rust Anchor will also true combo (IIRC), so you'll be getting an addiotanl attack if someone has a high defence and plenty of vigor.

If they don't though, I would imagine the damage from the true combo of colossal swords should be able to rival the single counter hit from the anchor, but obviously I don't have a dedicated PvP group I can test these theories on lol. Just theorycrafting mainly. It's fun :)
@@allenboynton4133 I tested it earlier, it does true combo, and it's faster. The downside is the range isn't as good, and everyone is like a slippery eel in the Coliseum. One duel netted me 2100 in a single hit. Outright killed the guy seconds into the duel, but it was his fault for charging forward.
I had been using this set up with the same mentality when I found the talisman, only I'd been using Gugs. I'll give this weapon a try though along with the Lucrene

I believe that is the chain coif you get from Kale at the Church of Elleh, if that's the one you're looking at. It looks different depending on body type, unfortunately.
It's unfortunate, but it just comes down to stats. Even without trying you're bound to find one person who hasn't leveled Vigor nearly as much. If you have a strength build, or any weapon with high base damage, or your opponent isn't wearing good armor (even missing one piece like a helmet), you are going to 1-2 shot them depending on what attack you use or whether it's a counter. If you get all people with strong armor leveling Vigor it won't be one shots, but they'll probably be trying to 1-2 shot you
Does the 2h talisman increase the damage of heavy attacks while under the effect of the roar? I ask this because many AoW, even when used with the weapon 2 handed, will count as being 1 handed so things like str bonus from 2handing will not be applied, not sure about the roars tho
Braggart's Roar is still better for this. RKR (while powerful) telegraphs what you're going to do, and only lasts for one swing. The special strong attacks on greataxes buffed by braggart's roar have excellent hyper armor. Spear talisman makes counterhits _better,_ but counterhits from pierce are still a thing even without it, so you could swap that. Alternatively, if you want a shield, drop the two-handed talisman. If you're deficient on hp, I'd suggest reallocating your stat spread to account for a minimum of 50 vigor with the crimson amber medallion +2 and decent armor, or 60 without. Frankly, the damage from all of these buffs means you can be singularly dependent on Strength for damage and spend your points on Vigor and Endurance to have the hp and armor options to free up that talisman slot.
This is my favorite pvp build, but I always have trouble with opponents who play passively or run away the entire duel. Are there any additions to the build or pvp techniques you'd suggest to help add pressure to my opponents?
Im pretty sure Cragblade and Troll's Roar were patched because of me a while ago because of all the data Fromsoft has collected from me. Not buffed or nerfed, just tweaked a bit to feel and work better/more appropriately. You're welcome.

Buffing in pvp arena has always been pathetic though i d say. Its funny if you do it. And of course, spamming any buffs in the beginning makes huge numbers, so nothing suprising there. And yes i know you are allowed to buff aswell (if you even have any meaningful buffs avaiable), but still...feels hella wrong... No hate though. I like your videos and this was nice to watch!

You COULD use the off hand axe to put out some poking pressure, since it's quite fast

Since you can't change the ash of war you lose a lot of the damage potential that roar builds get on heavy attacks.
Also it deals magic damage which doesn't get boosted by anything in this build

Buffing in pvp arena has always been pathetic though i d say. Its funny if you do it. And of course, spamming any buffs in the beginning makes huge numbers, so nothing suprising there. And yes i know you are allowed to buff aswell (if you even have any meaningful buffs avaiable), but still...feels hella wrong...

what a reddit take. it's elden ring, you need to be able to either dish out one-shots or tank them because the game is unbalanced as shit.
