Very well-described symptoms. I don’t have words for how non-functional I was being taken off benzos immediately with phenobarbital. Judgmental detox doctors and nurses certainly make everything more terrifying. I commend you for your commitment to get and stay off Klonopin . You might not feel like it but you’re so young, your brain and body WILL heal. I was told that once you are benzo-free it’s like waiting for a hair to grow back (the repair of the gaba receptors). You’re doing great. Having support is key. And titrating down slowly seems the way to go. I’m happy you have a knowledgeable doctor. Most are not. Even seasoned addiction specialists got it wrong over and over. You’ll make it. Distract yourself any way you can. You’re body is still adjusting to those small drops. Then once you can jump the real healing will begin. Love & prayers and many thanks for sharing, Lisa
Thank you for your story, Ryan. This is a horrendous journey. I also unfortunately know this all too well. I wish you the best in the rest of your taper. All the things you loved to do before will come back to you in time. Hang onto your loved ones for support. You also have everyone here supporting you, too. 💝
At day 56 klonopin withdrawal Cold Turkey i was 20 during covid after 4 years now at 25 i somehow managed to come off I'm still shit but the windows are wonderful.... I just want to end the cycle of windows...
Hang in there I’ve been there , been of of Xanax for 10 yrs it’s pure hell coming off of this nasty drug, stick close to your friends there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.i play in rock band 🎸 it took me a time to relearn to play again that’s how messed up my central nervous system was and at times still is but you work thru it and keep positive, there’s nothing like playing a live show and some Van Halen .keep up the fight
Benzo's are very serious. I'm an addict, opiates and benzos were my drugs of choice. Benzo withdrawals are horrendous. Maybe worse than heroin withdrawal. Many of the symptoms are hard to put into words. I have been off of benzos for about 3 years now. CBD actually helped me a lot with my withdrawals. A CBD vape cartridge, you can get them prescribed, so they are medical grade. I wish you the best man, stay strong! 🙏
@@Fckyo_doc me personally i couldnt handle weed again, but cbd was okay for me like some hemp flower yknow, ultimately what helped most was getting out of my house everyday, better diet and a few ketamine treatments
You sound “very together” what you say. People think that medicine will help them. Be patient plus you’re young with pressures of youth. Please eat nutritiously and get your rest too; and, again, patience is very important!!
Hey it’s Ryan here! Doing a lot better since this video still lots of ups and downs but I’d just like to say I’ve been to 13 shows/concerts in the last several months and am doing immensely better. Hope all is well with everyone else.
Omg so happy to read this man. Gives me really a lot of hope! I’m 25 and bed bound, light and sound sensitive and have floaters or VSS and currently at 18mg valium. It does me so good to read you’re living again! Hope for me I will get there too!
Yes, it's bad enough they do this to older people, but to inflict it on someone so young infuriates me. I don't have words to describe the way I feel about these people. Millions of people have been enduring this living hell on earth for 65 years. Despicable is an understatement. Start with The State Board of Medicine, DEA, ETC.
Hey i know ryan! wont say where he works, but ive talked to the dude at his job here in st pete, thats crazy considering i too detoxed from clonaz. Its a cruel cruel game, benzo withdrawal, hope your doing better bro, one minute at a time, breathe man well make it in time
@@KathleenMottinger did a slow taper - Ashton manual style. Also supplemented with plant medicine to help ease pain while withdrawing. I’m 51 now I’d been on them since age 20. It wasn’t as hard as some find it because I was having a paradoxical effect and so as I reduced I became calmer … honestly I enjoyed feeling my body detox from benzos. Yes uncomfortable at times but the discomfort passes - 🙏 You can do it.
@@KathleenMottinger I had a Dr. who let me control the taper. I was already on Valium so didn’t need to swap medication. My reason WHY was my motivation, and I stuck to a reduction of 1mg a month approximately. Id go with how I was feeling. Not too rigid or strict. Inflammation throughout my body was the main withdrawal effect. I’d recommend seeing a dentist prior to a taper. Teeth tend to hurt. Don’t focus on how bad it feels.. instead eat foods that support brain health and gut health- take an opportunity to look at your habits and change anything that might help your health- mind- body and spirit.
@@KathleenMottinger how I knew I was getting better… no tremors !! I began feeling a sense of calm that no tablet ever gave me. My gut health returned to normal - recovery looks like feeling BETTER. But we have to feel a bit of discomfort to get there. My taper took 11 months and with each drop I’d feel awful for a week, adjust for a week, feel normal for 2 weeks then drop a mg again. From 10 mg a day to nothing in under a year. I wasted 30 years on a medication that stopped me from really feeling as deeply as I could. I’m more self aware and strangely more relaxed than ever.
Hang in there. I've been on clonazapam for almost 20 years. During both pregnancies, I quit cold turkey, but my anxiety got so severe that I had to get back on them. But I struggle to put sentences together, all kinds of stuff, but I'm also on ketamine, Cymbalta and I'm almost weaned off of methadone. I have no energy for anything. 😢
Another innocent life thrown into this chaos and disbelief. Hang tough, Ryan. Thanks for sharing..

Drink alot of water. It helps. Trust me. It's hard to drink too much water.
Is there hope for an 83 year old to recover after 40 years of use?
I taped off after 30years so absolutely YES 😊
@Mysticmandyland can you tell me about your recovery time line and how you knew you were getting better? Thank you !
