Dang, despite not being a true conclusion, Undertale Yellow’s Ending is such a bittersweet end, I honestly can’t use words to describe it. It helps that the music is also incredibly bittersweet, especially at the beginning, the sound of whistling with soft guitars and a tune that tingles my body is one of the best experiences I ever had, and by some miracle Clover’s soul is still up and running in the present of Undertale’s timeline, let him rest, even if he couldn’t save it, he’s done so much for the underground and it’s people. Spoilers I am mad at Ceroba for what she did to Kanako. How stupid do you have to be to use an untested, experimental, soul altering serum on your own kid? Kanako was grieving her father and had no way of understanding the college level research and the tape beyond “I found a way to save monsterkind, it needs a boss monster.” Ceroba didn’t explain to Kanako what she saw or give her time to process everything. She didn’t try to seriously dissuade her daughter or explain any risks. There was no rush. The serum wouldn’t have broken the barrier and Asgore only had 5 souls max. Wait until she’s older or at least give her time to be sure of her decision. That being said, I appreciate how Clover being the soul of justice and is looking for the missing human children foils with Ceroba acknowledging she’s morally wrong and having the option to look for Kanako but refusing. Ceroba’s “a mothers love” feels almost ironic in a way. A banger boss and a killer theme.
Using the serum on Kanako is where I got confused with Ceroba. Sure, Kanako was a boss monster, but there wasn't a pressing matter or some deadline that needed to be met. I'm feeling like I had overlooked something, like if Kanako was sick and needed the injection or something? That was my only issue with the storytelling in Undertale Yellow. Otherwise? Solid.

As much as this was enjoyable, I’m not looking forward to any potential continuity changes that can come with other games. But then again, a story is a story. I can write it off with my own story if I wanted to.
Finished the game today and wanted to see the ending again. Spoilers There's something so heartwarming about Flowey calling Clover a "friend." Like he didnt have too, they were dying but he did. Flowey was just using Clover that entire time, and could see how theh changed after meeting the others, and Flowey being souless and all. Yet he called Clover a friend. I would like too think that Flowey got attached to Clover after being with them throughout the underground and enjoyed their company. Clover just seemed to be a enjoying factor to them, and yet the souless creature got attached to them. It's nice to see him call Clover a friend. He also hesitanted. He didnt know if he sould call Clover a firend but did so anyways. He cared, at least a little bit to call them a friend. This ending hit like a truck on the sadness scale, yet Flowey being there and calling them a friend will always bring me back to the ending. Allow Flowey calling Clover a firend lines up with the Undertale Red and Yellow Pacifist ending with those two. Love this game and ending.
I feel like the pacifist route of yellow should have had an ending where you defy Clover's purpose to die, like I feel as if that should have been the ending where they no longer are a cog in the machine, maybe I'm alone on this, idc, I just feel as if the pacifist ending should have went differently, cuz like, you already have an ending when Asgore gets their soul, and that's the flawed pacifist ending, so like I don't get why this also had to be an ending where Clover dies. Actually, you know what would be a thousand times better? If at the very end of this route, you actually had a choice, you got to choose wether or not Clover stays with their friends or dies alone. Leave that up to us to decide.
The pacifist ending exists to be the canon ending of the story. If this ending didn't exist, there wouldn't be a canon ending. The ending where Asgore takes Clover's soul doesn't work, as it wouldn't explain how his items ended up in Waterfall

@@Edu-Ice If you don't just drown monsters in excess determination they don't melt down. Look at Undyne. She had determination all along but only melted when she actually died for reals. Same for Marlet. Alphys is lowkey incompetent but we all already suspected this. Also, there are dogs in Snowdin old enough to remember the first war... the only explanation is that Gaster did the same determination revival experiment on them but with less determination and then Alphys copied from the previous Royal Scientist and repeated the same thing but with dangerous amounts of determination resulting in amalgamates.

I haven’t seen everything, but why flowey is being all chummy to clover defies me. Selfish reasons? I don’t see it. I really don’t. Then there’s the whole theory video I really liked that if this was canon it would tarnish said theory, but hey. Toby’s world, not Mine, and I am neither a good writer, programmer, artist. Nor a person who can pay those groups. So I have no say. But that whole boss monster thingy with Chujin though, rubbed me the wrong way. if you’re curious of what happens if u kill ceroba instead of forgiving her, this is what happens: first of all, well, she dies, basically starlo gets mad at you and leaves with ceroba’s mask pieces left, then you continue with martlet to the castle, martlet will try to explain your case to asgore like the plan, but he won’t let us go, eventually we will tell martlet to go so we battle between clover and asgore, unfortunately, it’s impossible to clover to win , asgore takes our soul and well, it’s not too diferent if you give your soul to ceroba (btw i actually did this, i feel bad now for ceroba :( )
