Well produced video, I enjoyed it. I'm getting a 350 soon and I'm used to doing my own oil changes but without a lift this seems like it will be a bit of a pain operating on my back, under jack-stands in tight quarters taking off and replacing the underbody covers. I'll have to weigh the pro-price vs my sweat and time. Thanks.
Yea it might be little worse doing on your back but honestly it’s not that bad … sure do your research see how much it will coast to do at auto shop place Vs diy see what works better for you
I was able to do this with the passenger side on a jack stand. I had some pretty good access under the car. One thing to note it's way less mess to just unscrew the filter housing till it starts dripping then just let the rest of the oil drip out till it stops then unscrew the housing the rest of the way off. I do all my oil filters like that when I change them.
What is that metal tab shown at time stamp 4:12 that touches the filter housing at the 1 o'clock position? It looks like it applies light friction to the housing and maybe keeps it from accidentally spinning loose? It doesn't really look like it does much.
I will whenever … right now they are kind a still newer and have low mileage .. soon as higher mileage start coming in for that service I’ll make a video
I know with the previous style oil filters you were able to go ahead and fill the filter itself with oil before putting it on. Can you do the same thing with this type of filter? And thank you so much for the great video!!
the bottom part of oil filter that's where goes other one,,, that's the one for draining oil before you unscrew oil filter...but I never drain it I just take it off as you can see in video...no need to worry about it if you do the same as I do in video
I personally do every 5000(full synthetic oil)on all of my vehicle no matter what manufacture suggests .. you can go on whatever you feel like its right
Is there any other way to drain oil/change filter without removing the plastic cover? I’m concerned about the small plastic closure tab that might break when I try to remove it with screwdriver, along with the other bolts that are shown.
The best video yet, you even show the panels to take off.
Very professional. Customers always Appreciate this

@@AutomotiveDysfunction Yes I will thank you
No. It's easy I have a 2019 es350. Invest in a set of Plastic ramps from PEP Boy's.
Cock the rear tire.........plenty of room.

yes you can do it that way .. I don't have patience for that to wait.. also you are adding another thing that can leak oil through that drain ..
great tutorial, what oil filter brand did you use ?
Thanks a lot for this video and linking the tools in your description. Could you tell me what the part number for the filter and O rings are?

Can you do one on air filter and coolant change ? Would appreciate it ❤️

I accidentally broke the clips shown at 1:22. Would you happen to know the replacement part number please?

There is no need for that … I don’t think you can do that on this type of oil filter housings ,, maybe you can fill just a little bit tho
@@AutomotiveDysfunction Thank you so much for your response.
Thanks for making this video as I am about to change my oil in my ES300H. I was thinking you must buy that brake cleaner really cheap.
Very good
At 3:30, I see 2 new rubber O-rings. You showed where one goes, but where does the other one go?

@@AutomotiveDysfunction oh ok! Thank you! 🙏😊
For the oil filter, can't you just use the tip of the ratchet extension to unscrew it?
@@nesone6520 no that’s just to drain oil filter before you take it off
Thanks 👍
Roughly how many quarts did you put in it?
What is the size of the filter adapter?
does the Lexus ES 2019 has oil filter for the gear ? thanks
you mean filter for transmission fluid? its internal filter, inside of transmission.. its not outside like engine oil filter
This is a wonderful vehicle, if properly maintained...one of the best engines that Toyota ever produced.😊😊
yes its very good
@@AutomotiveDysfunction I’m 😮😮
I just bought 2024 es350. S
How often should I change oil? Every 5000 or 10k?
I personally do every 5000(full synthetic oil)on all of my vehicle no matter what manufacture suggests .. you can go on whatever you feel like its right
Every 5k
Is that brake cleaner you are spraying?
Yes
Do you let the brake cleaner dry before reinstalling?
3:25 looks like there are 2 oil rings and he didn't change the smaller one.
4:15 he didn't change the washer as well
you do not have to change it if you do not use the smaller opening to drain oil, which he didn't, nobody does that
Always use a Toyota oem oil filter.
Is there a way to check the oil life left like 80% left etc…
There is a oil dipstick in the front engine bay

its not going break and if does for some reason honestly you don't even need that cover (little older cars even new today don't even have does covers)
I just bought ES350 2023 and the mechanic has changed the oil lately with 6 liters including the filter! Is that right?
5.4liters v6 es350
🙏
How many litter oil
in description of video I think 5.5Liter
You should drain the oil filter before you remove it.
It doesn’t matter.. for what you saying is just for less oil mess that’s all
@@AutomotiveDysfunction Yes, for less oil mess.
