Biggest change I want to see in chairs (aside from better padding at all price points) is user-repairability or replaceable parts to order. If the chair itself is fine but the undercarriage has gone, sell a new one that I can fit. If the fabric is gone, make it easier to re-upholster
That would definitely make buying a refurbished chair a better choice for most ppl.
As that way you could just replace any broken/worn out parts, instead of having to buy a brand new chair.
That would also be more environmental friendly as you don't have to throw out the whole thing.
@@SmokeBloody Exactly!
I am pretty sure in the future adjustable office chairs will use a ratchet based height system instead of gas operated pistons.
A lot of people actually don’t know that gas operated office chairs can explode.
@@Hue_Sam yeah gives people a 2nd bootyhole.
This is a really important video.
It's completely understandable that most ppl will avoid purchasing a really expensive chair, which is why it's always worth searching for a refurbished or remanufactured high-end office chair first.
However, I see so many comments ranging from ppl who think these high-end chairs are all overpriced, and others who believe that leather executive chairs are made of better materials, than these chairs.
At the end of the day, you usually get what you pay for in this market.
Cannot wait to get my Ticova. I'm pretty well off in terms of financials, but am a stickler for saving money. I'm always looking for the best bang for my buck, without going over a set budget. So the Ticova is perfect for me! Thank you, BTODTV!
Let me know what you think of it! Always like to hear feedback on chairs we feel are good options. -Ryan
@@btodtv I just got my Ticova and the headrest feels wrong. At a neutral position it pushes the head forward and angles the neck. Does anyone else experience this?
any follow up thoughts for someone thinking about buying one? @@lucianobradley5996
How did you find the seat on the ticova?
I've had my Staples Hyken since 2012. Bought it on sale for roughly $70 and it's still going strong! Can't say that seeing all these premium chairs hasn't been tempting though.
Bought the Ticova for 129€ in a sale with the 30€ coupon. Since my older chair might be the reason i started having back problems it was a welcomed deal. And you're absolutely right. Especially the lower parts of the chair are pretty "cheap" but it just feels very comfortable.
meanwhile my ikea chair has lasted 5+ years w/ 2 cats using it as a scratch post, the mesh isnt frayed at all and is perfect. If you're throwing away a chair every 2 years (which no one does), you're living wrong.
Do you guys have a list of chairs that can lock at 90 degrees, as a guy trying to fix his posture it's hard to tell if a chair can or cannot do that.
Where can you get a headrest for Haworth Fern??
I need that.
Can you recommend a chair for shorter people? I'm 5'3" 1/2 and weigh 130 lbs. I've seen some review videos on the Ergotune Supreme V3 (almost $600) and would like to know other competitors in the same price range or mid-tier range.
Using Haworth Fern about 1 month - I am very happy with it. Got the Fern with Lumbar and Headrest from Haworth directly. MSRP was USD 2,100 but with rebates it was down to USD 1,470 (newly manufactured).
@@AL-qj9yh Sadly no, in Switzerland the digital know was not available.
Please review the Hinomi H1! It apparently has just released to US market. I'm very interested in purchasing but a little sketched out by lack of unbiased information I can find.
Scam, and horrible customer service, avoid like the plague
review the ergocentric tcentric chair. made in canada
would you recommend the ticova vs. the branch ergonomic chair?
I’m 6” tall and pretty big
Recently upgraded to the Logitech Embody! Love the chair, but have been noticing some lower back pain. Years of sitting poorly probably does that to you.
Yea, it may just be your body adjusting to the chair. It could also be that the lumbar is just not perfect for you. I would give it a solid 3 weeks to see if you start to see that pain go away before considering another chair. Currently typing this from a Gaming Embody :) -Ryan
@@btodtv I just ordered a regular embody as they have a sale going now......but am tempted by claims that the back is a bit more comfy on the gaming version. Besides saving $300 on the gaming do you think I should switch to the gaming version? I like the cyan look better if everything is the same.
Steelcase Karman ? With this be the lamia that we were hoping for?😊😊
Please test the chair "Vectra" by SitOnIt Seating. The "Vectra" is a expensive chair in your opinion?
Are you affiliated with Sit On It? -Ryan
@@btodtv no, I'm thinking of buying the chair, but no one has a review
@@btodtv I would like to know if the quality of "SitOnIt Seating" is similar to the expensive office chairs you have reviewed.
@@btodtv 🤣
@@StardustLegacyFighter ?
Do you know what the difference between the 170$ ticova and the 299$ ticova is?
From what I can see, I am not sure there is one. One may just be used as their sale listing or something. I am not sure. -Ryan
@@btodtv Thanks! Just ordered one hoping that it’s very comfortable.
@@deeppatel8999How is it? Considering buying one myself.
The difference is 129 dollars
@@Vewtle Sorry for the late reply i didn't see this. It's very comfortable and the quality of the chair is very good. It feels really sturdy, and despite being on carpet, the chair is able to move surprisingly well.
Just as you said, going to therapy or massages will eventually even out if you bought a good chair
Why dont you have more reviews for "executive" power reclining chairs? Theyre in the same 1k and up price bracket as the top ergo chairs and look way more comfortable just ans high quality even just visually. Theres literally no reviews for them at all...please get some executive power reclining office chairs to compare.
Please do a video on foot rests!
I think they did a video about footrests a while back, or maybe they talked about a few on a different video. 🤔
I've actually been through the pain of trying out different footrests, and was thankfully able to find a solid one a few months ago.
It's pretty expensive, but there's nothing like it on the market.
bro i may not be poor nor rich , but no way i am buyng a chair for more than 400 dollars , so could you tell me pls the best office chair under 400$
Here is my advice: visit multiple places that sell office chairs, test them and sit on them. The one that you feel most comfortable on is the one you should buy. I myself tested multiple chairs ranging in price from 100$ to 1000$ and I swear the one that pleased me and felt comfortable enough costed a little more than 200$. I still use it to this day (4+ years). No need to buy a super expensive one...
@@mohdrai-og4kh thanks bro so much
Buy a used herman miller /haworth /steelcase.
I can tell that chair is not worth over 1500 by the fact that there is no neck rest. And paying extra for one, absolutely not.
Btw i just looked at office chairs and saw one that cost like 200 fucking thousand dollars lmao. Like no one will buy it why is it there?
A lot of people spend $1500-$2000 on an office chair -Greg
@@btodtv he said $200,000 lol
you fail to mention (unless I missed it) the critical difference of country of origin... USA made chairs with well paid, well looked after workers, or sweatshop labor in China, a country with little to no love for us.
Yea I agree. Certainly worth considering if that matters to you. -Ryan
80 Bucks AINT too low for a nice chair from China though :)
It's expensive to be poor
