Yeah, Frank’s got it - GPS is only accurate to within something like 30 feet in any direction - anything that shows you more accuracy is using various “tricks” to wring out a little more apparent accuracy like averaging over multiple position timing samples (GPS signals only update once per second) or incorporating multiple antennas to receive from multiple other known ground-based radio sources to suss out a little more accuracy from the signal. Have to remember, GPS is 1980s technology even when it harnesses the U.S. based GPS, Russian GLONAS, or I think Europe or Japan has one up there now too? But yeah, you can only be so accurate using a satellite a few hundred to several thousand miles away. The rest is technical hardware and software wizardry.

Randy deserves this more than anyone else I've ever heard of! I've driven Pikes Peak 2x in my own car (10-20mph, just visiting with family) and countless times in everything from an Escudo to a 720s (video games of course!). But Randy is one of very few people to have so much talent, and still absolutely love what he does. I'm so glad we have people like this who let us sit in the front seat, miles away behind a screen, and can still feel like he's just another guy in a car getting to have a thrill of a lifetime, sharing it with us

6:57.220 minutes, 80.159 average MPH and first place in the Exhibition class. Although I think more important than that is that it was 10th place overall, and consideration what kinds of vehicles were in those other 9 places this is an incredible accomplishment. Congrats!

Do not quote me, but I think was about 60%? Full power uses the battery quickly, but the Plaid does not slow down much until battery is very low, maybe 20%. Just tested this with Jason Cammisa and Icons video shoot two days ago. We had a stock Plaid and it would keep turning the same quarter-mile and 0-60 times.

I agree, frustrating to almost see the numbers. The long straights were almost 140 mph. Electric power is the hot ticket at 12000 ft in thin air; it doesn't care!
