    Is this FL 11? Because last time I checked the piano roll zoom always resets to like one bar in FL 11. So I use FL 10. But if it is fixed I could go back. So how is it with the zoom?

    The modulation amount of one operator into another is governed entirely by the volume of the modulating operator. So, automating how much modulation is going into any given operator is functionally automating modulation volume. Sytrus has a "mod" tab inside each OP, that is the modulation input target. Setting envelopes or XY mod into that value will control overall input modulation into that operator. I cover this in my video "How To Bass 6" in my channel :]

    Is there away to auto detect the velocity of each note just like how the riff machine auto makes compositions and has preset velocity's for each note. Because I'm working on a song and I can tell that the song sounds washy and over lapped because the individual note velocity is the same for all of the notes. I want to know if theirs a way to select all of the notes in your composition in the piano roll and have fl studio auto detect the recommend velocity of each note.

    Great stuff as usual, by the way, I think it's great that you keep to your speaking speed, it's defiantly not to fast. Let's face it, more times than not when some one is speaking to fast but clearly, it's not because you may not have heard what they said, more, not understood the general meaning in this case, you're going to hit rewind or reply until you do. Honestly think you'd do that regardless of some one speaking fast or slow. The better thing about faster speakers is that it's easier to recap on something you sort of know. Frickin hate it when you're learning something and watch video tutorials and they're talking realllllyyyy sloooww. I speak English to you know, " I know words " haha.

    I did not know about the key limiter. Why did I not know about the key limiter. I am in love with the key limiter.
    Great as always, learned some cool tricks and tips. I would maybe suggest some more general keyboard shortcuts (octave switching, duplication, remove snap etc) but it was still very well done.
    (And yes I know he covered some of those in the playlist video but not a lot of people know they transfer to piano roll)

  • @doomexpert
    @doomexpert 11 років тому

    also it is recommended that if you use the same sound in the same piano roll, to create another channel because you get overlapping issues, every sound must have their own independencies. so every sound what you hear is 100% audible:)

    You can scroll/zoom simultaneously by right click and drag on the top scroll bar in piano roll and play list. Takes a bit of getting used to but good when you are dumping midi score to piano roll and you get a pattern about 5000 bars long :)

    You are my go to reference for this kinda stuff, but there's one tiny thing that keeps getting over looked:
    it's whether you can use the Piano Roll Midi Colors on in-house FL VST's or Plugin's to track multiple channels to the same piano roll; not third party, in-house.
    I have not found a solution because most are more concerned with connecting midi too their launch pad, but I'm more interested in the convenience of using the same piano roll for Oscx3, or Sytrus, and Directwave. The solution is so close but I'm beginning to think it's not even possible.

  • @doomexpert

    Really like your channel :) started from the start a couple of days ago, but I discovered a weird problem I have and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
    When I record with my mpk using FPC, the notes doesnt fit the length of the sounds in pianoroll. And when I draw it in the Playlist it always starts from the start of a sound no matter where I play it from. it doesn't stop when I click stop either, need to click stop twice. here is a video ua-cam.com/video/d5n1dBgK5sI/v-deo.html the sounds in piano roll just look like the right length but it's because I just dragged them manually to fit.
    CTRL+L never works on the last note.
