I saw her live. Finally. I wish i was born a little earlier to witness all of the stages she explored in her career particularly this era. Something about her, once you listen to polly, you can’t get her out. Its like she has a spell on everyone who listens. This song makes me sad, but also a breath of fresh air if that makes sense. Every album she ever did and will ever do is another one to add to the collection of greats. Im writing her a letter in hopes she sees that people love her.
"Horses in My Dreams" is simply one of the most beautiful songs that any artist or musician has ever written. This live performance is gorgeous and compelling.
I love how her multi-talented band members during this era seemed to be able to play any instrument or role. Great band. Beautiful song. That is songwriting.
I've listened to this song for many years now. It's one of my favourites. I love her so much. And when listening to her music, it makes me proud to British.
Many proud reasons, as an American, I can say definitely that the Brits make a uniquely better sounding rock expression both vocally & melodically: See RADIOHEAD & THE VERVE & THE ARCTIC MONKEYS 🤟🏼🤘🏼♾
Horses in my dreams Like waves, like the sea They pull out of here They pull, they are free Rode a horse round the world Along the tracks of a train Broke the record, found the gold Set myself free again I have pulled myself clear I have pulled myself clear Silent, I have pulled myself clear Silent, I have pulled myself clear Horses in my dreams Like waves, like the sea On the tracks of a train Set myself free again I have pulled myself clear Silent, I have pulled myself clear Silent, I have pulled myself clear Silent, I have pulled myself clear
This song is about heroin addiction and the love “pull” and power of heroin “The Horse” “Tracks” “I have pulled myself clear…” a hauntingly beautiful ode to addiction and maybe or not to sobriety
This is a wonderful version, thanks for posting it and I regret you seem to have felt the need to apologize for it in your description. Oh...we get it.
She's about to launch into Big Exit at the end, there. That video used to be on You Tube but it got pulled because of the usual copyright bullshit. Woe is me.
One of those rare songs that pull you in, full of beauty and pain at the same time. You feel it's truthful. Thanks for sharing this performance.
I'm always left devastated listening to this song.
Wow
ur not alone
same ...

I love this song and this live version is excellent.
Someone should reign in that drummer. Out of control!
Mega talented and a lovely lady.
Horses in my dreams
Like waves, like the sea
They pull out of here
They pull, they are free
Rode a horse round the world
Along the tracks of a train
Broke the record, found the gold
Set myself free again
I have pulled myself clear
I have pulled myself clear
Silent, I have pulled myself clear
Silent, I have pulled myself clear
Horses in my dreams
Like waves, like the sea
On the tracks of a train
Set myself free again
I have pulled myself clear
Silent, I have pulled myself clear
Silent, I have pulled myself clear
Silent, I have pulled myself clear
The typical keyboard player (Cpt Bfheart's) is playing drums and the drummer, Rob Ellis, is playing keyboards SO COOL
What a performance. PJ is soooo good!
Just gorgeous.
Few, if any better in her genre.
