Girlfriend was wrong to not go through with legal action. Although he won't learn his lesson, at least his actions will be on record for all to see, and help another woman make an informed choice later on.
Oscar should either get one or 2 more jobs if he wants to support his mother... it's not his wife responsibility to finance his mother. The reason he didn't tell her about his & his moms plans from the begining is because he knew NO woman with a grain of common sense, would agree to go along with that nonsense... even IF ivy had married him. she wouldn't of been trapped. As long as she had her own money she could've still gotten rid of oscar and his mother... oscar & his mom thought once married/marraige license signed & turned in... she'd be stuck and couldn't escape.. that's just nonsense.. the minute she finds out why oscar really married her, she leaves and file for divorce.... unless they were planning on holding her captive in the basement. All she would've needed to do was find a divorce attorney. She never wouldve been trapped even if they had gotten married.
My son is an only child. And yeah, a "mama's boy". He will fully admit to that. But he also just walked in and said "Like you would let me get away with doing that!" He's my baby and will always be my baby - but he's also his own person and I don't expect him to look after me when I'm older. (Though I'll probably always cut his grilled cheese into triangles...)
Public proposals are such emotional manipulation...and there's a huge difference between loving and respecting your mom and being some weird creepy mommy's boy- the added touch of them running off the ex and forcing her to get an abortion was nicely done- at some point you have to cut the apron strings!! Your kid being independent means that you've done a GOOD job!! Love the mom versus mom conversation at the end- short and sweet, don't get pulled into the crazy...thank god OP didn't get impregnated by him!! And absolutely LOVE the best friend- lol awesome wingwoman work!! And you know, she's kinda right- when someone seems too perfect there MUST be something going on underneath...lol this dude is making all us only children look bad😂😂
Yes to your whole comment. He asked her to run to the court house to get married in front of friends so OP would feel obligated to do so. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to help a sick parent, when my father in law was diagnosed with cancer, my mother in law had already been diagnosed with dementia. My husband was going crazy stressing out about who would care for my mother in law while father in law was going through treatments, they lived 5 hours from us. When it first happened, they thought my father in law had a heart attack so my husband and I run up to their home. We were there for the discovery of the tumor, the testing and back for the start of the treatment plan. I told my husband his parents were going to have to move in with us, that why we could all chip in to help his dad get to treatment and someone would always be here with his mom. There was just no other way to do it and also give my husband peace of mind while it was all going on. There is a problem to manipulating women to be a piggy bank for your mother. Oscar and his mother really need to cut the strings because their relationship is crossing some weird lines. What they did to that other poor woman is just heartbreaking. I LOVE the best friend, OP should’ve heeded the warning of Oscar being “too perfect” and never married
🤷🏻♀️ My mom still does it. She has a tiny kitchen and bathroom and says she prefers doing it that way so she knows it's clean. The rest of the house is carpeted, and she vacuums it like a normal 2024 person, lol.
Many people still do this. It's not in the past especially in many cultures when cleanliness is important. These aren't written in an English speaking country.
I listened to a few I f these by what i can tell the silly author of these stories is from another culture and country. As you can't be divorced in a couple of days here like in these stories or pay compensation for cheating. Things like that.
I bet Oscar would end up being beaten by a military dad who used him as a punching bag for trying to force his daughter to marry him so he can have her money.
How did Oscar think he could hide his former marriage from Ivy? Don't Americans have to declare their marital status to the registry office? And prove this with the corresponding documents? I know that, in my country, you have to present your birth certificate and, if applicable, your marriage certificate and death certificate of the former spouse or divorce certificate. The registry office then checks everything. Since any marriage will be reported to the registry office of the place of birth, a former marriage cannot be concealed.
They aren't actually texting when they are in the same room. The editors just use the text boxes to show what they are saying. That's why they let you know when they are actually face to face and when they are texting.
I mean, if you have to keep repeating "this time it will work, she will understand" and at the same time spend time scheming and "making it so she won't say no when she finds out" then you admit to yourself that your target has every right to say no. Why not just be honest about the situation? Would be less painful to everyone.
Good morning from Wisconsin! Everyone in the U.S., enjoy Memorial Day weekend. Everyone outside the U.S…I’m an American, and I apologize on my country’s behalf.
Wait, so Oscar is on the phone with his mom while his mom is in the living room, waiting for Ivy to bring down the hot pack? On the same day they drove the mother in law home, she came right back over to collect the hot pack? None of the timing makes sense.
9:50 „I‘m going to give you the best life you could imagine - I‘m going to make you so happy, I promise“ The sentence is fine but the addressee is wrong. Should have been his fiancée and not his mother.
"I'm always a bit stiff by the end of my SHIT." Really? Did you have to put "shit" in the text box? PLEASE PROOF READ YOUR TEXTS BEFORE PUBLISHING THEM! The story was good, but honestly, you're trying for a professional publication here, right? Give some thought to hiring a different proofreading team.

His life will be ruined? Boo frickin hoo! What did he plan to do to hers?
Op's mom went momma bear on Oscar and his monster of mom.😂
I would've proceed with the charges....
I don't want any other woman out there to become another maid for Oscar and his mother.

Ivy shouldn't have dropped the criminal charges

scrubbing floors on your knees is a thing from the very, very past!!

Good morning from Arizona 🌵
Good morning from Oklahoma
Good Morning from South Carolina........

Good morning from Kansas.
Good Morning from Pennsylvania
I’m from Pennsylvania also! Halfway between Pittsburgh and Erie, a few miles from the Ohio border. Hope you have a lovely evening!
@@RebeccaMcCann-u8d I’m just south of Pittsburgh! Hello neighbor!
@@missydehart6920 So nice to meet you!
Good morning from Alabama
Good morning from mass.
Every time the mother and son talked to each other, I threw up in my mouth a little. It just creeped me out. Ick
I don’t understand this whole paying for in-laws. It certainly isn’t something I have ever heard of. And I got the second comment. Cool.
I listened to a few I f these by what i can tell the silly author of these stories is from another culture and country. As you can't be divorced in a couple of days here like in these stories or pay compensation for cheating. Things like that.
@@marykelly-en2ml I always took the "we're divorced" dialogue to mean "the process has started."

Good afternoon from Sanday, Orkney
What does bending down have to do with scrubbing floors? That's why we have mops.🎉
I don’t have to kneel on the floor, but I always have a stooped/ bend posture when mopping the floor. I have yet to find a mop that’s long enough.
@@defender4004I always scrub the granite and grout on my hands and knees, I even use a steamer to get it clean but I’m a weird one haha
@@Allie_phelps I use a steamer as well. 😀 It’s amazing that there’s still dirt coming off using the steamer even after using a mop just before.
@@defender4004 I love my steamer. I use it for everything because of the dirt that still comes off my floors after mopping than haha

Why are they texting if they are in a car together? The fiancée seems kind of obnoxious, over giving in law a ride home.

Ikr? I think it's because most channels use voice to text and don't proofread.
