Those are definitely common as well! I’d say those are relatively cheap to replace though, I wanted to share how to save a bunch of money instead of buying oem door locks which are expensive and a pain to install unfortunately haha!
Just followed your steps, step by step and did this today. The hardest part was drilling the self tapping holes. But once I figured out how they work, it wasn't too bad. Thanks Joe!

Someone did this to my g before I got it 4 years ago and they messed everything up on there 😔 had to buy a whole new door handle system and an oem actuator after not bothering with it for 3 years lmao

For the hole where the speaker is, do you split the lamp cable and have 1 and 1 connect?
Did this today worked like a charm BUT My door latch would stick and not let me out of the car had to order a whole latch assembly from Amazon wish me Luck .. dealer wants $558 Z1 wants $250 Amazon $50 gonna take my chances and report back.
I was able to attach the actuator directly to the lock without having to altar existing cables.
How did you do that?

@@hiddenbiscuit8385 You take out the plastic piece in the door, where the lock sits. You drill a hole and run the actuator rod through. Then attach it, its hard to explain. I should just make a video,

I just saw your video and really appreciated it...I have a 2007 m35... The driver's door does not open from the outside... And I have to use other doors to open the driver's door from the inside.... What do you suspect is the problem...any ideas.... Quick fix... Thanking you in advance...

It’s the cluster. It’s not the sending units.
@@betahours9416 for real? At this point, idk if it’s a coincidence but after I went e85, it works now but to the point where if it’s near half then it’s actually near empty; basically only the top half works
I haven’t had the gas gauge problem in the two g’s I’ve owned but if i hit that problem I’ll definitely make a video fixing itn
Do you know if the 08 model driver door is supposed to be able to be unlocked manually from the inside? I have a used car and I got my door replaced and now I can't get out unless I hit the power lock button or use the fob. Sounds unsafe to me.
some dudes at the callejones tried this to my G before it didn’t work you think the aftermarket door actuators weren’t strong enough?? or are my oem actuators just dead?
I have a question man so today I installed it and it makes the sound of it locking and unlocking but it didn’t actually lock or unlock spent almost all day trying to figure out lmk trying to get this fix asap.

Recently bought a 04 g35 sedan with 190000 miles any tips on how to keep it going?
Make sure you run synthetic oil and 91 octane always. Never cheap out on parts. Regularly change oil 3-5k miles at most. Make sure engine is heated up to operating temp before you get on it. Pretty reliable car though if you treat it right. I’ve had mine for 5 years and the original engine started burning oil and then it started knocking, so make sure you do all these things to avoid that major problem.

Just simple maintenance goes a long way! You definitely want to do preventative maintenance not when things break!

Yes I removed it completely from the door card!

It’s power for the oem door locks so you’re essentially taking the 12 bolts from the oem to your new one so it works the exact same way!

Just got a 2004 g35 coupe with 99k on it, oil light comes on and off as I’m driving, and when I drift my slip light sticks on any help would be great
Oil light being on is that you’re really low on oil that you have low oil pressure

Double check your wiring, and make sure that the actuator actually works!

Hey joe I searched all over the forums but I was doing something and I disconnected the battery for no more then 30 min and after I connected it back i get this bog/hesitation around 2k-3k rpm with no cel or codes any idea ? The car ran perfectly prior to disconnecting the battery
Make sure you didn’t leave anything disconnected. Not sure what you were doing but you may have disconnected some vacuum lines, etc. If that doesn’t work, try an idle relearn, throttle body relearn, and an ecu reset.

Very strange that’s foresure! I would go around the engine bay and just double check connectors that may be loose. Disconnect the battery again for an hour to reset everything and reconnect it. Could also be a weird coincidence that something mest up and isn’t related to you connecting your battery at all!

Only my driver's side works with remote, do you guys think I can fix this by only doing this on the passenger side?
Yes 100%! I ended up doing this because my passengers side wouldn’t work and it was annoying to have to unlock it with my hand.

@@JoeVazquez i had to change the brakes, my taillight wiring and now i blink with my reverse light, some extra lights for fog and rainy days and they broke one wheel so they can test if it's stable enough for the car😞.
The most annoying and expensive thing was the paperwork like ordering a ,,data paper" from infiniti with ALL kind of details, emissionstest and other tests.
But it was so worth it it's a headturner, it's one of the best car ever made and people often mistake it with a supercar or ask me how I can pay such a car😂.
But what they did is just ridiculous, if you have Instagram or anything else can show you😂

All it takes is your drain plug to go bad and you’ll wish u never bought the car stay away from fins

Infiniti’s are the worst cars ever, bmws are the most reliable ;) haha
Since you installed this, has it failed on you?
It’s not that It failed on me, the tape I used starts sliding around when it gets hot since the glue gets hot so now when it’s “locked” sometimes it doesn’t lock right. Id say instead of using tape to make the cable thicker, I’d use something like a piece of rubber hose so you’re not adhesive dependent!
