Great video showing us how to layer vinyl. Isn't HTV used for shirts and not adhesive like oracal 651? I am still a bit confused about the registration marks. Do ou have another video that goes more in detail with the reg. marks?
Yes HTV is for garments. This blog post explains layering with registration marks www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2014/05/silhouette-layering-vinyl-tutorial-no.html
Hi thank you for this video. Is it possible to use these steps for layering htv vinyl on transfer tape? Once layered final step is applying back the htv backing then removing it from the transfer tape and finally applying to your material with heat machine. Hope this makes sense. Do you have a video on it?
This was done as a demo for how to use adhesive vinyl on a shirt for temporary use like a costume. Here is that part of the video: ua-cam.com/video/GFr6TyvEe9U/v-deo.html
I’m confused and new but don’t hear transfer vinyl sheets come ready to iron on? And wouldn’t you need specific heat approved transfer paper to iron it on???
Unfortunately waste is a normal part of doing business. This method wastes less than having to recut a few times because the design didn't line up properly.
Thank you, this is great! What file are you using on silhouette to print this in the first place? I have tried everything but the colours in the "fill" tab are just not showing! :(
That worked out great. Thank you for showing us how to do this so easily!
You bet!
thanks for the short and precise video, mine came out great!
Great to hear!
Thank you, I finally found someone who didn't confuse me more!!
Glad I could help!
My favorite part was when she said ok
thank you sooo much
How do you get and figure where to put ur registration marks?
Another great video, Melissa. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Do you have a video that shows the process you used in silhouette studio?

No, this method can not be used for layering HTV b/c of how the transfer sheet is on HTV it will get stuck between the layers.
Can you make one video how to measure paper cups and how to draw by silhouette studio in correct size please
Most of my software videos are part of the Silhouette U library and I do not release them on youtube. You're welcome to checkout SilhouetteU.com
Why wouldn't you use htv instead of 651 on a shirt? Wouldn't the 651 come off easy? Sorry but I'm new.

@@SilhouetteSchool Interesting! I've never heard of 651 being used on a shirt. :)
Can you use adhesive vinyl on shirts?
Adhesive vinyl can work if you need a temporary design! ua-cam.com/video/GFr6TyvEe9U/v-deo.html&pp=ygUXYWRoZXNpdmUgdmlueWwgb24gc2hpcnQ%3D

Yes, HTV is iron on. But this video is for adhesive vinyl
@@SilhouetteSchool Do you have a video or link discussing transfer tape for HTV?
Is transfer tape and transfer paper the same thing?
Generally people use them interchangeably.
What kind of transfer tape are you using?
Hi there! Check out this blog post: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2017/02/best-transfer-tape-oracal-vinyl-651.html
Do you waste those vinyl? Is there a way to keep some good leftover in up after you pull that so much of vinyl?
