Remember that you're the master of your own life! 💪It's really about HOW you use apps. For example, I watch the series "Explained" on Netflix where I learn about many things like how sugar interacts with our bodies, the origin of athleisure, our world's water crisis, so you could also say Netflix is a "productive" app. I didn't expand on this, but seriously, I could not recommend podcasts enough. I listen to them while walking place to place in New York, on road trips, when I'm doing chores, and I learn SO many golden nuggets from really successful and cool people that I wouldn't find anywhere else. Only in these in-depth conversations can you absorb the powerful energy of the speakers and their mindsets help rewire yours! I listed recommendations around 17:15 :) Thanks again for ESR Gear for their amazing products - their products are high-quality and perfect for students who leap from place to place and need some versatile protection :D Check out ESR's Holiday Season promotion, running from 11/21 to 11/29, with discount from 10% to 25% off ⚡ ESR Shift Magnetic Case: bit.ly/3UYGczm ESR Armorite Screen Protector: bit.ly/3OlmcTK
Hey Amy! Can you make a video on books? Like what books should we read? Or books that are essential for us to read? Just try making a video with the title "Five books every student should read"...
19:59 a little point in here is my mother used to say “ وش تشوفين تسوين” which mean “What you see you will do” if you see someone complain you will complain, but if you see someone who does work you will do work. Basically what you consume you do.
The fact that I was looking up study/productive apps last weekend and now this is uploaded is crazy!! Your videos and advice (I'm on your newsletter) have helped me so much with my studies and motivation/drive so much!!
ALL APPS/WEBSITES MENTIONED BY AMY: 1. Habit - developing heathy habits and increasing productivity 2. Freeform - listing achievements and creating a 'yearbook' for yourself 3. Headspace/UA-cam - taking useful breaks by doing small meditation sessions 4. Health (Apple) - tracking your goals and maintaining good well-being (e.g. sleep schedules) 5. Notion - organising information and journalling 6. Google Calendar - marking down events and dates 7. Notes (Apple) - marking down events and dates 8. Shortform - provides summarised formats of books 9. ChatGPT - gives useful information from what you want it to do 10. Thea - schoolwork app, helps with recalling information 11. Spotify - music + podcast app (listening to music while doing tasks) 12. Voicepal - turning voice messages into written formats/notes 13. Instagram, UA-cam, Tiktok etc - inspires YOU to be productive by looking at others' achievements
For me i really love "flip" its a pomodoro app that starts when u keep ur phone facing down so u cant really use your phone while the pomodoro is on or it would shut down the timer. And you can even add friends and compete on the leaderboard this really gives me motivation to study 💖💖 really love the app fr
hiya, I just wanted to say I discovered your channel yesterday and was watching through some of the videos and have realised how much of my life I waste on my phone. Currently my phone controls me with an average of 7h 48mins per day whilst I'm meant to be studying for my A-Level that I'm teaching myself in my gap year. So far its not going too well with little work getting done as I just sit at my desk and struggle to focus. However, I'm taking on board the ideas you've given and my plan is getting into focus. I made a new UA-cam account (this one) so my algorithm can only be motivational videos and self improvement ones, I'm also working on my sleep schedule and not having my phone in my room. On top of this, I've cleaned my room out to make my bedroom a nicer place to study in and are deleting as many apps as I can. I just wanted to say how much you've helped me in just one day of watching your videos. I will also recommend her podcast (Your A+ Life on Spotify) as I was listening to it whilst doing a parkrun and it was really good at improving the way i view things and I'm excited to try out some of the ideas she suggested. Thank you so much
I personally recommend the app Routinery. It’s basically a routine maker which helps me as I have a timer for each task and each task happens right after each other so I have less opportunity to procrastinate. 😊 Thanks again Amy for the recommendations
Man i love this woman. shes so clear w her videos n does not clutter us w too much info but just whats needed. god amy you hav helped me so much in giving me clarity when it comes to productivity (m a very lazy n scattered person lol)
I actually can't relate to you. I didin't get the expected results. Thea gives me test and summary of unrelated topics. Can you help me understand if I am doing something wrong
16:26 OMG Your voice is so angelic😇😇 This video convinced me to go back to Notion, since last time I realised I spent more time trying to make it look pretty (emphasis on trying) than actually using it. Now I'll probably just still to Notion's function rather than spending all my time adding cute images and stuff.
heyy amy! i am 13 my name is yara. i really love your videos and it really helps me a LOT. i really want to get into dentistry. i just wanted some advise-- so i have this one science teacher that really does not like me. i always do the assignments in the right way according to the success criteria, however she always gives me a C and even though she knows i worked hard. yesterday she gave me a D in one of my assignments, my feedback was "very well done however its too 'englishy". I know i included all the information required to an A level, what should i do (i already emailed her about this). thank you! keep posting!!💗
Hello Amy, I love your videos. From the day I started watching them, I've been constantly improving and consistent, too. I want you to make a video on how to kill 'self-doubt'... That's the only thing that holds me back from continuing to try. I've seen many people struggle with self-doubt whenever they start doing great, like I do... I would really appreciate it!! 💗💗
This discussion about time management reminds me of a solution I’ve been exploring. It’s exciting to see how AI can help streamline tasks. What tools or methods do you use to stay organized?
Hi Amy. When it comes to accomplishing big tasks or changing your mindset to a certain concept in order to benefit yourself in the future, how do you progress in finding the specific issue with your current mindset and avoiding the feeling that there's just something wrong with your brain. I also feel like I don't have as much talent compared to some of my peers who have to put significantly less work than me to achieve a higher grade. This leads me to think I have mediocre talent and some dedication. I know I cant change my talent, but how do I go about increasing my level of dedication so I can match the scores of my peers. Id really appreciate if you could respond. Also, I'm 16 btw. Thanks :)
No but like I've been trying to start studying for a Iil while now, cuz my finals for 8th grade is coming up and have been trying to find some good apps to use and then I got a notification that you released this video and the timing is PERFECT!!❤
Hi !! Amy , im turning 15th tomorrow november 25 , you just make reliazes that there so much more in life than just scrolling in your phone all day and school 💗😁🌺
12:41 for me it's google keep because I have an samsung phone + watch and a macbook + ipad, so google keep and google calendar sync effortlessly. it's a part of David Allen's GTD method; quick capture. works wonders, guys, even as students!! whenever I have a thought-provoking eureka moment/a great idea for my journaling later at night, I immediately create a note and jot it down. I can then view it alongside my Google Calendar. so convenient!!
For me i love gizmo its an ai flashcards app that has a feature called magic imports where it allows u to attach tour notes and the write the "flashcards" they have a active recall which is great and also an ai explain which is acc amazing
Wow! I already have most of these apps that you recommended (and how to use them to your advantage). I am already on the right track to achieving my goals!! :)
Thanks so much Amy mam !! Love your videos ❤❤ this is so helpful for both school and college students I rate 2024 being one of the best year to bring me out academic ideas from your channel, Gohar Khan's and Faye films
If you are looking for an alternative for habits that is more cute, social and engaging try finch!
