This game wasn't even intended to be a fully racing games but more like a action driving games and yet it has a better car physics then many sim racing out there like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport

Sounds like most sounds come from very same soundbank that was used for NFS Underground 1. Many Inline 4 and V6 sounds are identical to UG1.

i think its small glitch with awd cars. Rear wheels are locked and front spin(even tho irl it would lock up and not spin or just overpower the handbrake)
