I think caustic's worst map is Olympus. Storm Point has so many buildings that he's actually really strong there. The only time he's weak is when the ring pulls into an open area.
I agree. a lot of the buildings in storm point are designed pretty well for Caustic, while Olympus only has a few that really work with him, estates is a good example of buildings that don't work well.
I disagree Olympus is quite good
I dont know...I had a lot of victories with Caustic on Olympus. In open areas he is more vulnerable ofc, but he still can set unexpexted traps behind rocks, tree, etc
@@mischafri8839 Agree, you can use his traps effectively in open areas as long as you have SOME kind of cover. I've won alot of CQB fights by luring enemies to trapped cover and blind corners.

The best caustic loadout is probably mastiff/pk and bow, its perfect for cqc and attracting people to buildings

I find the Prowler to be like a precision mid range Eva-8.
Im new to causic, just unlocked him last week barely played with him. What should I start doing, either outside or inside, or when we land? What do I need to remember when playing. Ik there are guides but some quick tips for zoning would be nioce. Sometimes I could be in a building but i feel no none is around , so i dont use his traps.
Just some quick tips;
-If you’re hot dropping, throw your barrels in the building you’re playing and let your team know - even if you push out it’s great to have somewhere to med with a bit more cover
-Blocking doors is one of the most important things you can do, especially late game - also, stairs around the first turn where it will activate if pushed into
-More appropriate late game, but if you have height advantage on a team you’re fighting and they’re right below, chuck barrels down on them - late game they’re less likely to have the time to react to them and will get trapped in them
-The smoke from your barrels can give great cover for revives
-You can still get value if holding a more exposed area, by hiding your traps around choke points that you could get flanked from
Enjoy, caustics pretty fun - started maining him because of the amount of octanes who just throw on ranked and started loving him!

@@henrys1925 yea, stil trouble with him, but getting better, trying out bang or bh for more solo que potential, i have no friends to play with , and discord people can be difficult, i reach bronze a while ago, im still new half-way to bronze three, this seasons tough

A real toxic holdout squad, Caustic, Rampart, and Wattson.
lol, had that team last night, my main is Caustic. What's funny is we came across the exact same team. Was an interesting fight but we won in the end. With those three together you can pretty much fortify almost any position, but in the right buildings, fuggetaboutit.

Idk should i get caustic or newcastle but i have to say that i'm level 151 and i'm not so good but i'm also not a noob
Depends on your play style but I really dig Caustic, it allows me to be mobile as well as defensive. Newcastle is too but doesn't have the offensive ability Caustic has. Caustic has a nice blend of defensive and offensive qualities which can be maximized from battle to battle. He's alot more adaptable than I first thought he would be.
Even if I got the whole Auschwitz shower setup people still push me.

You failed to mention Caustics gas grenade doesn't work when throw into a Watson interceptor.
Nothing works, not a single projectile of any kind. Why would caustic grenade be different.
Not true, I chucked one into a fortified building through the door that had a Watson wall on it. Maybe I chucked it through the beams but it def went in and it def went off.

well as far as I'm aware (havent played mobile, just watched some) the legends which are in both versions work the same, so anything you learn here should apply other than pc specific things like certain movement tech.
and it can still work on the thiccst legends like caustic giby and loba what did he sayyyyyy

Dude you need at least 6500 before you can say almost seven thousand hours
6100 isn't almost 7000. That's like saying you have "over nearly 10 years experience" or "just shy of half of two decades" to sound like you are more accomplished than you are. 6000 is impressive, don't try to fluff the numbers.

As someone who progress through the ranked this season by caustic, i advocate for him to be nerfed. Too OP.

S0 player here. It was pretty well done as there are many new players or ppl who wants to try him who don't know how his abilities work. It was a better argument if u asked for an advanced guide. You may also check the 06:08 for a gameplay analysis.
