Bought this camera along with the Lenova Smart display as a security system for my mothers house. Unfortunately the YI and the Lenova are NOT compatible. She is 85 years old and doesn't have or want a "Smart" phone, so the YI and the Smart Display by Lenova is worthless. Also, the outdoor version of the YI has a USB and a Wall plug adapter which would be terrible to plug in outside someplace, so you'd have to drill an access hole and an extension cord in order to make it work....that is a problem for most....so today I'm taking the YI back and getting the NEST system.
My camera stopped working after four months of use and I have no guarantee, IY does not answer me. I bought the camera "YI Dome Camera 1080p" on the website "Mercado Livre", in Brazil. However, since July the camera stopped moving properly, it does not move up and down, it only moves to the sides. I have already reset to factory defaults several times and it didn't work out. Once in a while her image is all black.
I have two Q? 1- How i can add additional device ex.. (my wife mobile) to monitor the house. 2- How i can add additional device but the device is not with me. lets say my wife in other place and i want to configure her mobile with the Camera.
Both register an account with the app. You can share your cameras individually between accounts. Or, both log into the same account with the app and see the same cameras. A friend of mine has my username/password so she can keep an eye on my place when i am working away.
Why music , I want to set the camera up not listen to music.
