Oof Lucent may have been able to outmaneuver Espinas for the most part, and even getting those leads, those double fire nukes really made the difference and closed and widen the gap on Espinas’s favor. Great fight overall and I look for seeing Seething destroy something.
@Noah Garcia lucent got unluckily up against a monster with a powerful attack like that; overall it did quite well to keep up in regular combat. This next fight is going to be even better, can't wait to show it.
That was a great opener to the whole Elder Dragon Tier Tournament! Lucent Nargacuga proved itself to be a formidable ED-level threat that could really keep up the pressure and get in and out with its attacks, but Flaming Espinas just took things to a whole other level with those massive super fireballs!
This was a super close match and an awesome start to the tournament, Lucent was so agile and manoeuvrable I thought it was gonna win at one point! Thank you for making another tournament and for always doing these fights for us 😊
@Caligula 300 I thought this would be a great first fight; since neither have appeared on the channel yet and it was overall a really good match. Glad you enjoyed it and there is ton more to come 👍
@@MonsterSlayerSquad I like how fairly early on Lucent had Espinas basically trapped in the corner! 😂 It seems even the most agile monsters can be overcome by brute strength 😅
Thought espinas would win easily but with nargacurga striking espinas's sides through the entire video, they showed us how fierce the kings of the tower would be
That was really close, as I expect most of these fights being in this tier. Lucent was able to dodge so many attacks from Espinas and was even able to break his horn and wings, but those nukes were more than he could handle. The first double nuke might have missed since he only got one of them in, but all other nukes hit him which made a big difference in the result of this battle. Lucent might have lost, and I did root for Espinas the whole fight because #1 favourite monster bias, but I expect we'll see more of Lucent in the future.
@Kharnix in this fight lucent may have lost; but I think if he can pull of better evasion (which we know he can); I could see him doing even better if not even win. But I have to say flaming espinas is no push over and will be a fav for this tournament.
He sure is but I have not got to experience that game myself. Which is a shame because I have always wanted to use the tonfas ever since I laid my eyes on them. I think seething bazel is going to win the next one but in lore terms Silver rathalos would absolutely win. Still can’t wait to see the fight though. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire fight here.
Definitely proud of my boi flaming taking the win, those nukes are devastating and it seems he can’t be staggered out of it, though I have to give my respects to lucent for holding his own and closing the gaps with its unique attacks, to give off a really close & tense fight.

Oh also here’s an odd yet possibly interesting idea, what if y’all tried to do small monsters against each other such as bullfango against rhenoplos, jagras against jaggi, or Remobra against delex stuff like that. Not the most exciting thing for most I’m sure but it would be unique and comical for sure.
Wow, those nukes really do seal the deal, I have a hard time imagining anything but seething to stand up to that amount of damage output. It was very clear to me that Lucent had the upper hand on the "regular" attacks, but not by enough. Hopefully I can see ma boi Lucent in other fights sometime in the future.
Well,I won't say I wasn't expecting this. While L.Nargacuga was fast and manoeuvrable,it lacked in stun lock potency and ranged attacks,plus F.Espinas aggression. Awesome fight!!!
@Athos yeah any monster hoping to beat Flaming will need to be able to shrug off that double nuke and that's a big ask. However, everyone of these monsters come with their own unique trait, so it should even out.
Feeling a bit betrayed here. Lucent was steadily accumulating a bit of a lead, then Espinas just uses his double Nuke for 2000, plus Poison. Part of the Monster hip, or hop, thats just kinda sad. Lucent is great, she deserves a bit of Spotlight. Also im rooting for Goldian, Furious, and Seething in the next Rounds, knowing my luck, they wont come too fare. At least Furious is realy realy bad in Monster vs Monster, because of his fragile Nature. Well im a big grumpy Nitpicker so dont worry, the Fight itselfe was good, its a good show. Im just kinda sad my babys get kicked out so often.
@Sunae totally get you, this whole selection was random and if there is anything to take from this would be; that we have made all monsters in the tournament to have equal HP. But in reality lucent actually has quite a bit HP advantage over Flaming; so if had used that HP it could have been lucent winning
Flaming proving Frontier Monsters can hold their own against many powerful Monsters! Good job to Lucent, but the Flaming’s nukes do massive amounts of damage!
Damn had fingers crossed for Lucent. Flame Esp done tanked every thing and burned his spot from the tournament. Hot Expresso is my boy but Lucent was the more interesting for the tournament
Lucent and silver may be my two favorites in this but I’m calling it right now flaming to win this entire tournament as he’s got heavy fire resistance and most of the opponents attack with fire not even counting how in the cutscene he just obliterated the flame emperor Teostra like nothing, lucent honestly looked to be the best one against him due to no flame attacks and mainly poison but as we saw flaming just out muscled him and nuked him with the flame bombs the only other 3 that may have a chance is furious, silver and seething as silver has quite the movement that may help him, furious has thunder and is pretty agile (and can hit pretty hard) and seething will definitely have that aoe advantage with the pine cones consistently dropping onto flaming if they make it that is
Will you use the Advanced Quest version of these monsters? Do the Advanced have other buffs besides damage and health like resistances, enrage being easier, longer etc.
The Ledge strikes again by interfering with both monsters this time around instead of just one of them. Though the uneven terrain in general messed with it this time. I really think you shouldn't have fights in the forlorn arena. It looks cool, yeah, but it just interferes with everything way too much. The fight itself was pretty neat otherwise. Espinas I'm glad to have out in the main series at last.
Most definitely. Not really sure it mattered too much here, since these 2 weren't really designed to target other monsters, they probably just targeted the hunter the whole time anyway.
@@handtomouth4690 I only wonder because Chameleos encounters other normal monsters and has the same gimmick. It stands to reason that similar coding is involved between Lucent and Chameleos for the sake of game space and time of development. However, I never saw if normal monsters behaved differently to Chameleos while invisible given how short lived the time monsters interact with each other normally is.

That was a great opener to the whole Elder Dragon Tier Tournament! ・尾棘を使うことができれば優秀な多段ヒット+毒で大きくダメージを稼ぐことが可能
・回り込むような動きを多用するため、攻撃を回避しやすい
・明らかに命中率の悪い技がある（単発飛びかかり・尻尾回転等）
・最強状態（怒り+尾棘展開）に至るまでに時間がかかり、なおかつその状態で使える技に回数制限がある

素早く俊敏な動きからの高速攻撃でナルガクルガ希少種が優先のようだったが、エスピナス亜種のメガフレアがあまりにも強く、二連化したらかなりの暴走を見せた。エスピナス亜種のモーションが遅めな時や隙が大きいことからナルガクルガ希少種が攻撃を連続で打ちやすかったが、逆に不意をつくようなエスピナス亜種の突然な攻撃や攻撃前まで相手を狙うようなことがあったため、中々思うようにナルガクルガ希少種が動けていないところがあった。(以上)

Match was intense but I suggest using a different arena like that golden jungle one you used for the last 2 matches. Just to experiment

I think the Espinus subspecies are very powerful when fighting monsters. But I believe which monster will defeat the Espinus subspecies.

Lucent Nargacuga against a Flaming Espinas, this was a very close match, but Espinas is the winner.

🍆亜種は勝てたのはいいけど、パワーはかなりある分、動きがやや鈍感、一部の技を繰り出す際に必ず隙があるのはキツイ。
相性次第ではリオレ希、タマ希、紅蓮バゼルいずれは苦戦強いられる可能性がある。
I hope you didn't adjust flaming's nova damage as it's kinda doing not much damage and it's fair to show just how powerful it is.

ただ原種と同様に発生が遅くてルナルガに怯まされてばかりなのよね・・・
飛びかかりのモーションも発生が遅いから攻撃する前に怯まされて長い間ずっと隙き晒してる
炎の当たり判定や多段ヒットは強いけど、原種にあった麻痺が使えなくなったのに防御ダウン(重酸)の効果がモンスター相手だと意味ないのも痛手
フロンティアの時みたいに永遠に突進連発してれば一気に安定しそうなんだけどなぁ
渾身の一撃である2連メガフレアは状態異常ダメージ含めると2000以上は削れてめっちゃ強いから、本当に必殺技頼みな戦闘スタイル。
