Many automotive enthusiasts would debate the rear end of this car represents the greatest car tail fins on any production car.

I was born in 2001, and I think these classic Cadillacs are absolutely breathtaking! I love learning about these classic cars, and I'm gonna try and find a red 59' Eldorado with not too many miles, hopefully! Thanks Lou :)
Thank you Nate Hawk for sharing and you're welcome, Lou
What a Cadillac, this is something! So much styling, and craftsmanship. This is a car built to last! All metal and nearly no plastic. Cars like this will never be built again.
Hi Robert Smith, Well said :-) Glad you enjoyed this one. I do too, Lou
Robert Smith that's debatable. Have you seen the new Mustang? It's stunning!

My all-time favorite car. I've never seen one in that color before. Looking-up the paint code, I think it's called "Wood Rose". A really beautiful car. Thanks, Lou!
Hi Brian Chappie, Bingo! We have a winner! I like this one too. You're welcome, Lou

Very beautiful amazing car wow beautiful looking car
Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-)
Love the bucket seat's!
Nice :-)
Leaves me yearning for more decoration on the right of the Dashboard area.
Beginning to mature into preferring the grandeur, the grace, of '40's US/UK cars, but for the thrilling-feeling, these were the pinnacles.

A dreamcar for sure! Thanks Lou!
Happy to read this one is a "dream car" :-) You're welcome 20alphabet
Beautiful car. For me, the styling of the '58 Fleetwood and Eldorado vs the '59 Fleetwood and Eldorado is neck and neck. Both years are ridiculous! The '58 Fleetwood quarter trim is spectacular!
Hi C Howard, Happy to read you enjoy this one :-) Lou
Lou, This is the first time I've experienced one of these cars! The interior is very understated, almost spartan compared to earlyier 50's Caddys?I'm surprised how elegant and beautiful the car is. Lovely car, a rolling piece of art work? I don't feel embarrassed for liking this car. The color seems to sooth, instead of drawing just attention? The rear tail fins blend into the overall design? Thank You! Peter Brooks.
Hi Peter Brooks, A wonderful comment, and excellent description of this cars details. Thank you for viewing and sharing. You're welcome, Lou
1959..Factory a/c on a convertible, all power windows (even the small vent windows), power seats, Cruise Control!...it doesn't get any better than this for Cadillac, or for America in 1959..a time to remember...glad I was around then...
Hi daniel lack, Thank you for viewing, sharing, and sounds like good times :-) Lou
The bucket seats were an option on the 1959 Eldorado Biarritz, which this car has. Unfortunately Cadillac did not offer a center console to go with them that year.
Hi dlwatib, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
Apparently GM made only 99 with the bucket seat option
This is one of the most iconic cars that people imagine when they think of the 50s, especially with that color. So beautiful!
Oh, and I'm a 90s kid, but I know exactly who Sophia Loren is.
Hi HotWax93, Happy to read you appreciate this car :-) Thank you for viewing, sharing and I believe you're going to see many more cars on this Channel you'll enjoy. Hope you Subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this UA-cam Channel, Lou
Whilst I enjoyed seeing the iconic 59' again it's really the black 1960 next to it I'm waiting for. I'd love a comparison video Lou. Thanks.
Hi Rare VHS uploads, I don't have that one (although I'm waiting for that one too if / when I'm invited back) however here is a 1960 that's similar with a different color, enjoy, Lou ua-cam.com/video/wYNJNQVXu4w/v-deo.html
my favourite car, I was born on march 27th 59, would love to have this car.
Hi Marnie Larocque, Glad to you were able to see you're favorite car :-) Hope you get one soon, Lou
SWEET!!
Agreed :-)
muy bien gracias y compartido
You're welcome, Lou
Beautiful Car! Question:> What is that belt driven aluminum finned unit, located on the L/F of the engine, next to the oil filter? Possibly, could it be the air compressor for GM's optional, (failed) air ride suspension? This option was all so available on certain Chevrolet & Buick models. If I remember correctly, the first year it was available was in 1958, and 1959 was the last year. Sometime in 1959, GM mailed out letters to the original owners of GM cars equipped with this option, that as of a "certain date", repair parts for this suspension system would not be available, but GM would convert these cars to a regular type suspension, AT NO CHARGE, to the owner. Should the owner not decide to participate in the "NO CHARGE RETRO FIT", they'd be on their own. ( I spent the better part of 35 years working in the the service dept of a large Buick dealer in Milwaukee Wi, and the owner had a big Antique and Classic car collection, including one of the air ride equipped Caddy Convertibles, spent a "BIG Chunk of Change", trying to get it to work properly. (didn't happen) {the sad part of this is, I REMEMBER WHEN THESE CARS WERE NEW!) Doc.
Hi Doc, Not sure. Hoping a Mechanic can share knowledge. Thank you for viewing and sharing. Hope you see many more cars on this UA-cam Channel you enjoy. Please subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this UA-cam Channel, Lou
Cadillac....."The Standard of the World" (until the Cimarron was brought out.
Hi srercrcr, The Cimarron was not Cadillac's finest moment.... Lou
Not one of the greatest Cadillacs - one of the greatest cars of all time, period. Not over-restored [or worse, resto-murdered] is a major relief
Hi pete _www, High praise :-) Lou
I am very lucky to have one of these cars but not the Eldorado but the Series 62 convertible. :)
Hi Tibor K, You have a great car :-) Congratulations, Lou
Thank you Lou, we love your show.
You're welcome, and I really appreciate your kind words, Lou
Wow
Well said :-)
Probably the greatest Caddy for recognition, but I might argue for these limited production models. The 1957-58 Eldorado Broughams that you're familiar with or even the 2019-20 CT6-V or Platinum with the 4.2L TT engine, 4-wheel steering & AWD as maybe the greatest.

Lou, I watch most everyone of your videos, don’t stop making them!
WOW :)
Agreed :-)
welcome :)
Sofia Loren? Not Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall or Audrey Hepburn?
Then again, to hang out with all four....😉😄
Beautiful car in an outstanding collection!
My hat's off to you Lou!
Hi Duececoupe, You have great taste in the ladies :-) Lou
IMHO, Cadillacs finest ! She needs driven !
Hi Peter, High praise :-) I like driving them too. Lou
Technically those aren't hub caps, those are wheel covers. There's a distinction, a hub cap only covers the interior of the wheel, out to where the lug nuts are and not much further (and sometimes not even that much). A wheel cover covers the entire wheel clear out to the rim.
Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge.
I want a 59 Cadillac or 60s I don't mind !
Hi Blackstar X, Hope you're behind the wheel of yours soon, Lou
15" bias ply tires and drum brakes... how much that weighs? 4 tons? But it's beautiful.
Hi that's what you believe, Interesting point. Glad you enjoyed this one and called the car "beautiful" :-) Lou
Sophia Loren? I think the 59 Caddy is more...JAYNE MANSFIELD! (Bigger "Dagmars" if you know what I mean?)
8-)
It sure is a trouser arouser !
Hi Dave Lister, Glad this one you're enjoying :-) Lou
that is a car ! oh my
Does he need any one to polish the cars ? I would be there
oh yeah ! when its a caddy I've a flavvy ! no excuses cause they are so beautiful
Sophia Loren was alright but there are much more beautiful (read pretty faced) women than her in my opinion. I pretty much love all the Eldorados of the 50s and the 60s too. Jay Leno has an special affinity for the 49 Cadillac as being more over the top than any, even Rolls.
Hi socksumi, Happy to read you love the Eldorado's during the 50's & 60's :-) Lou
hate to have to change plugs in this vehicle.
Hi spdskte, Thank you for viewing and sharing. Seems to me that there is enough room to not be to difficult, Lou
beautiful car anyway!
Like Sophia in the sleekest dress on Earth.
Hi Jo, Thank you for sharing, Lou
Yep...Sophia Loren alright.
:-)
