@@StringoYT Your reaction at the beginning of the game reminded me so much of my own when I first played. I remember watching the KH2 secret ending in 2007 and being so excited for Birth by Sleep. Then I found out it was on PSP, not console, and my heart sunk. I didn't end up playing the remaster until 2018! Such a long wait, but it was so worth it. Is Roxas your favourite character? That's the vibe I've been getting from your playthroughs. Roxas is definitely my favourite.

If you remember the cutscene in KH2 when Xemnas goes down that long spiral path then you've seen Aqua's keyblade and armor already.

As a tip for when you start aqua and ven, as soon as you leave the land of departure, you can do the command board, which is a great way to get cure early and a more powerful shotlock amongst other new spells and commands. Just dont forget that it exists!
i so desperately want to explain the ven roxas situation but i'll put a comment at the end of the play through of this game
In a recent stream we were chilling in 3d, we all spent like a half hour talking about the heart hotel gang and how whack-ass they all are. I hope he keeps the mind-melt discussion in the vid when he gets there lol

@Stringo I'm sure it's been pointed out to you already but xehanort and eraqus voice actors are spock and Luke skywalkers voice actors respectively. Meaning this I believe is the one of the only semi Canon Star Trek vs Starwars in media. Lol

Yeah i think it plays really well for one not to say psp games didn't play well though.

I don't know if someone mentioned it. Use d-links for Terra and Aqua use Ventus’s d-link. For Ventus use terra. I hope you enjoy the game
This is my favorite game out of the series so far, with KH2 as a close second.
Hope you get as much enjoyment out of the game as I did.
Does have some things I would change still, but a great game, nonetheless.
Same, story wise though Kingdom Hearts union cross is by far my favorite plot. But actual games Khbbs, then 2, then 3, then ddd.
"roxas" as new bbs players see him (or ven as you now know him) is a fun case to crack as you already know.The music that plays when his body is connected to the mysterious heart on destiny islands at the beginning is one of my favorite pieces that sticks out to me each time. It's beautiful. Anyways gonna enjoy this long ass journey of fun and mystery and sadness trauma. I dont think I noticed the camera angle difference from 2 (primarily because I was like 14 when it came out, and i think my brain knew it was psp and not ps2) so good eye there! The thing about darkness is that anyone minus the princesses of heart (and a select few people for reasons to be told) have darkness inside them, even me and you. Riku can wield darkness like when he shot Roxas w/ Dark Firaga in the fight scene between them. Darkness isnt "bad" just like light isnt all good (you've seen what happens to Eraqus already). I want to say a bit more but that part about darkness should be happening around 3d so I'll save it for then. In kh1 the first heartless we see actually formed in front of our eyes was a random dude in traverse town. Yen sid also explains what I've just said in kh2 (but again the rest will be held off on until a little bit longer. 3D should have a few cutscenes that explain a little more in depth and I dont want to say too much regarding the extra depth given).
The combat is very different so it is a bit of an adjustment, especially on that first boss. The amount of skills is insane as you prob know by now and the abilities list wasn't my favorite way of getting them not gonna lie xD It's also fun seeing you ask if certain characters are from the past, you will be really confused as the series goes it should be fun to see you unsure what's where and who's where when. It gets to be a mindfuck at times xD they explain most things at some point in the story you're playing but it gets really confusing at times... but so far so good, have fun
Yeah the Combat is very different it takes me some time to get used to it with all the melds and such but i do eventually get the hang of it thanks to chat and i soon come to love it. Yeah I'm currently on DDD and I'm slowly but surely getting answers for certain things but then again more keep coming up 😂 i think i only probably noticed the camera angle as i went from playing 2 to this rather with the likes of yourself and others you played them years apart i suppose.
@@StringoYT ahh yes 3d the fun game where everyone seems to get lost in the way the plot and story become "convoluted" xD its a mindfuck and a half even for nomura zD but i swear the questions never end with that series like nomura always needs to leave some room open to advance to later ;) as far as bbs i'm excited to see how chat lead you along and what they taught you vs what you learned on you own. that game is insanely long to 100%: complete journal for each character (ie every ability, combat move, enemy fight, even mini games) altho im sure chat mentioned that at some point. i was so close (had just 2 mini game things left) before my ps5 had a meltdown and had to be sent back (lost data, was terrible)
Another heartbreaking game. Yep, KH is crushing our hearts all the time

Now that you're further along, which characters story did you enjoy going through the most? I honestly had the most fun as Ventus.
Ventus was also my favorite

Did you go back and investigate disney castle after you beat kh2?
Hmm i cant remember if i did or not i will have to boot it back up and check. I did do a few post game things but i wanted to come back to the game to get all the rest of the secrets later on down the line.
You should have done the post game content in KH2 before continuing
I did do some on stream I just didn’t upload it on here but I will go back to all the games when I have completed all the series to try beat the old bosses.
Post Game kh2 content is totally irrelevant to the story, save for the usual "teaser" boss, like Xemnas in KH1. He's fine.
