Great video as always, looking forward to the walk test, can it beat the longest distance currently held? Does the MTP60 have 48v Phantom power by any chance? Will we be seeing a Bluetooth app demo also?
There's a 48V phantom adapter coming, it will be an external device as the power draw from from different mics can be high and would compromise the life of the internal batteries. Walk test coming! Will have to be at 50mW though due to licensing restrictions in the UK.
@@RaycomTV is the Wisycom PHA48 not suitable for the MTP60?
The range in walk test would definitely interest me because I‘m planning on buying a kit of four MTP60 and one MCR54. I will use the Bowtie antennas, but I’m also interested in seeing it perform against the MCR54 without any antennas and with their LBN or LFA-antenna. When will we able to watch the walk test on this channel? Can’t wait to see!
Will the MCR54 be able to send frequencies to the MTP60 via bluetooth after a scan?

Hi, does the recording while transmitting work also in Canada? I know the US has copyright protection for that, but we don't in Canada. So would it work in Canadian versions?
I guess if you ask your distributor he can find an ''EU'' version for you.
Will the location tracking integrate with TiMax SoundHubs for theatrical delay matrix tracking?
Great video! 10 hours @ 15mw right? What is the run time @ 50 mw?
10 hours from lithium pack or NiMh rechargeable batteries at 50mW, you'd get longer at 10mW.
@@RaycomTV The wisycom site says “10 hours @ 10 mw with alkaline” so I thought it would be far less at 50 mw.
10 hours at 50 mw with Nimh sounds great.
Any idea of when these will be available and at what price point?
Great video. Curious about the bluetooth remote-control capabilities of the MCR54.
I would much prefer to be able to change TX gain/channel via the MCR54 and not having to take out my phone/tablet.
Any information on this?

Yes, though it is very different as it is implemented in the new digital FPGA based audio processor.

Yes it can

All good mics at this quality level should sound transparent thus there shouldn't be much to choose between different brands.

How does the MTP60 acquire and maintain timecode?
Initially by jamming in the mic input, though it is hoped Bluetooth sync will follow with future FW update. It has a very high stability timebase for day long frame accuracy.
How will the MTP60 get TC jammed? Via Lemo5/Lemo3 cable? Can the MCR54 get TC via Superslot and send it over Bluetooth to the MTP60?
Yes, jammed through Lemo. We have been told to expect Bluetooth app syncing in due course.
@@RaycomTV Thank you! An ACN integration would be freaking awesome!!! The official Superslot specifications have on pin 9 "LTC to Tx" - hopefully the MCR54 uses it, that would be freaking awesome, too!!!
Easy: plug into the mic input - out from a Tentacle Sync or Ambient (and similar device) Then just enter the MTP60 menu and press "JAM"
Any notes on what the haptic engine is for? Very interested in these, and hope I can get some UK models in Canada 🇨🇦
It gives feedback for key presses, but can also be triggered by remote control to alert talent. Really useful.
@@RaycomTV why might you want to alert talent via their bodypack transmitter?
@@SoundSpeeding I am sure there are cases where you want to cue a talent without a visual or sound cue.
Hey William, The UK model is not available in Canada as the DME band is not available here. In a similar range - and with similar attributes (clean, low noise) we have the new 941 band (941-960MHz) It requires ISED licenses in Canada.
Similar to the UK model, the Canada SKU does offer the recorder/transmit function. :-)
@@RobPoretti that's more what I was hoping for, I know it's patent protected in the states, so that's great news for us northern Canucks!
