Cable constantly uses his telekinesis to keep the technorganic virus at bay and prevent the infection from advancing, which is why he does not use it for other things.

@@TheBrandonMinichI thought the same! But it would be hard to explain why Master Mold’s and Nimrod’s Sentinel influence doesn’t eventually take over since he exists as an evolution of those characters and they are as antimutant as they come….would be an interesting take to say the least!
Madelyne didn't bust out of Sinister's control on her own. Jean went into her mind and helped her focus on Nathan and his birth.
Magneto always had a certain respect for the X-Men that he wouldn't go as far as to manipulate Wolverine in that way. This scenario is so serious, and Wolverine went in for a kill, so Magneto decided the kid gloves were off and took advantage of that glaring weakness.
I still vividly remember when this happened in the comics in the mid 90's, it was like a bomb going off in the comic book community. If social media existed back then it would have been all over the place with people dropping hot takes on everything
When Magneto pulled out Wolverines Adamatium? That happened in X-Men (Vol. 2) #25.

Bastion really knows his "ally's" character 😂😂 loving the mention that Sinister would backstab Bastion at short notice.
Cables moment of happiness is meeting his mother. He has to focus on that to break the control.

This can only mean we're getting feral Wolverine next season. If you think Wolverine is violent in his normal form, he's straight up on demon time when he's bone claws Wolverine
also his healing'll be scarier, what with the adamantium no longer poisoning him. But I might be misremembering and that might just be the Ultimate thing.
They need to shut down Bastion first and then fix the magnetic field. Otherwise, once the Earth's magnetic field is restored first and Bastion remains active, he will continue to slaughter mutants. Plus, Scott saw Gold team is about to fail shutting down Bastion. That's why Scott said Gold team needed more time.
Since Forge can perform "Kamar-Taj" magic....his "electromagnetic reflector" kind of looks like the protection spell Supreme Strange used to on the Guardian of the Multiverse in "What If..."
If you thought that was a crazy penultimate episode, wait till the finale on Wednesday.

The thing about Charles Xavier is this: He makes his decisions, his plans, as though everyone else can read his mind and know his intentions. Which they can't. But he can't understand why people take issue with his plans, without realizing that they don't and can't know what he's thinking.
Jean was saying bye to Scott cause she knew she was about to go full Phoenix mode and Phoenix doesn’t really waste time on domestic affairs.
Also notice how Scott says Nathan’s name last because he knows Jean could go Phoenix and that Nathan is a goner if that happens.
Season 2 is complete and they have a season 3 green lit even though Beau DeMayo got fired.
If we are making assumption.. my guess is Phoenix is coming tjey do have the collar to suppress her if needed .. and with the antimantiun been pulled yes for seasons 2 one word Onslaught

As to the Cable being brainwashed. Don't forget, Madelyne couldn't just break out of it on her own either! She had to be reminded about Nathan before she could!

Glad to see you guys finally catch up with the episodes.
This episode is truly remarkable, and the action is masterful! THAT ENDING WAS INSANE!
While I understand Charles's reasoning for giving Magneto the mansion, the man still neglected his students and pupils. He willingly gave his mansion and the X-Men to his archenemy just so Scott and Jean could take a break, which is pretty silly. Look where they are now: on the brink of war, thousands of people and modern infrastructure have died due to Magneto's EMP, and the magnetic polarity of the Earth has shifted so much that the world will eventually end in a couple hours if not stopped, Professor X has lost two team members to Magneto (Rogue quite literally went rogue)and Magneto's line: "God's abandon those who believe in them" is such a powerful line.
I love how their outfits are references to the 1960s and 1970s costumes. I love how Storm and Jean see each other as sisters, and their bond together is really wholesome. That line: “Make them mind your weather, sister. And them weather your mind" is such a good line!
That Mister SInister and Jean fight was dope, and Jean using bowling balls against Sinister was both badass and funny.
I find it interesting that Bastion still loves his mother despite what he did to her and turned her into a sentinel zombie, which makes me think he's not as emotionless and robotic as we were made to believe since he is part human. It's scary how powerful Bastion is, considering he's essentially a one-man Sentinel factory.
I like how the show also explains a lot of plot holes without feeling like exposition.
Nah, the animation in this show is PHENOMENAL AND GIVES ME MAJOR ANIME VIBES, I LOVE IT!
Magneto has wanted to say "SHUT THE F*** UP" to Charles for a while, and that alone is hilarious!
MAGNETO STRAIGHT-UP PULLING OUT LOGAN'S ADAMANTIUM, JUST LIKE IN THE COMICS, WAS BRUTAL ASF!!!
I can't wait to see the finale this week, and hopefully, they stick the landing because this show has been excellent so far, and if the ending doesn't land, then it would feel really unsatisfying.
Xaviers reason to give the Mansion to Magneto may be silly, but Xavier sees always the good in Magneto and because they were once friends, he thinks that when he put his trust in Magneto and give him a chance, he would take it. And he was right about that. Magneto really tried to be good.
Rogue did what she did not because of Magneto, and he did not plan on doing anything like what he did (EMP in the first place). That hardly had anything to do with Xavier's will. Magneto was his friend, and by leaving the school to him, Xavier wanted to achieve more than one goal - to give Scott freedom but also make Magneto try another path and give him a new purpose. Scott chose not to leave, but whatever bad happened happened because of Bastion's actions and those who helped him.
Episode 9 is so illogical that I don't know what to think. One moment from episode 8 makes me suspect that Magneto might be manipulated, very likely by Sinister.
Bastion is extremely powerful and dangerous. Probably, much more dangerous than Magneto could possibly be (Bastion loved his mother but still turned/allowed her to turn into a prime sentinel! of course, he doesn't really care about anyone else) so he's free to do whatever. But the Xmen treated Bastion like an ordinary villain. And, by the way, did you understand how they learned where he was? Cable told them about the facility that was actually his home, and in episode 9 they all of a sudden state they know where to find Bastion. I'd start suspecting they worked with him too if I didn't know better.
I'm having a panic attack thinking about this coming episode on Wednesday 😭😭
They've actually renewed the show for a couple of seasons, I believe 3. I heard there's material written for the show for 5 seasons by Beau but it's more of an outline of what he wanted for each season
Madelyn broke sinister's control with Jean's help. There's nothing subconscious about cable's actions, he was infected as a baby.
They need to put Vibranium in Wolverine for the New X-Men...
Madelyne was being control too. She didn't break herself free, the real Jean helped her.
I think they’ve alluded to Jean being Phoenix.
That doesn't make sense, the Phoenix Force has left Jean in the Original series. For that, the Phoenix Force must come back to earth too save Jean once again.
But when the writers just say, that the Phoenix is always inside Jean, then, like some comic writers, they didn't understand that Jean and the Phoenix Force are two different identities and not one and the same.
And apart from that, they can't always pull the Phoenix Force out of the hat to save Jean's ass. The Phoenix is in the comics overused, the writers should rather come up with something new instead of reissuing old stories and enemies again and again.

Season 2 has most animatics done, just needs a new show runner now. Season 3 has also been confirmed. Original creator had a 5 season plan before he was fired.
it makes sense to send the most experienced fighter after Magneto but still dumb since he expressed murderous intent and is full of metal. honestly it's quite a problem having two people on Magneto's side, they could have split up a bit better if they hadn't

I'm pretty sure Scott brought Wolverine because he knew Wolverine would kill if needed. I wouldn't worry about Forge because they showed his leg rocket at the beginning. And I doubt that this is the end for Jean because of what's been foreshadowed this whole season 😉

Kind of a dick move by Storm. Hope that tech isn't needed when a Sentinel is pushing it's hand through your Mother's chest. Sinister is a villain but he knows his genetics. Cable is the strongest telekinetic/telepath but is constantly nerfed by having to focus on keeping his techno organic virus pushed to his arm with his telekinesis.

Scott did the right thing. What you wanted all the prime sentinels to come back online and kill everybody? You look like a fool trying to blame scott for that. Logan isn't an idiot he knows he is a mismatch with Magnus
No it's not on Cyclops. Xavier tried to restore the magnetic field by taking over Magneto's body. But when he would have succeeded, all the Sentinels would have been back online again and it would much harder too stop Bastion. So this one goes definitely on Xavier.

@@mattbrock7031 Scott did what he had to. What was Logan thinking going against Magneto? He had to care about his metal even if no one else did.
The showrunner got fired (supposedly for a non-sexual only fans, but no one really knows), so even if there is a season 2, most likely it will have a corpo imposed money maker to leech off the success of a guy who genuinely loved the old cartoon and comics. This is probably it, sadly. If it does go on, I expect a signifigant drop in quality.
