Europe and all its Bombastic Pompous Antics does have some Amazing Sights a pity so many have their head up their Arse. Thanks for the Look and History Tino.👍🇦🇺👌
I do love this series. It's kind of amazing just how little info is out there regarding these forts. Seeing the differences between the early and later forts as they were trying to figure what did and didn't work with the rapidly evolving aspects of warfare. Not to mention I always enjoy when Mr. Cook joins you. He's a neat fellow.
Maybe the thought of being trapped or even buried underground led the troops to flee.such a great fortification. Just a wild guess, but the thought is terrifying. Thanks Tino for all the amazing places you take us!
Every one of those stones had to be cut by hand. They must have had thousands of stonecutters for a fortress of that magnitude. Respect!!!!! Thanks Tino..
Interrupted at 39:00 ; I an mot seeing any thing that I can recognize as any indication of attack by air. Was this fortress spared during WWI and also WWII? 42:42 you are now at the point where any way you turn will take you deeper into the fortress (DOO-Dooo-Dooo_Dooo)--!? There is no way out of here! It's a good thing you have a solar panel to catch the sun light and convert into electricity to keep your cameras going. I just hope your food holds out for a few more years! Tino, you and your partner(s) make a great team for leading us on this glorious madhouse wild goose chase. Thank you so much for the experience.💯💥
Thanks Tino and Roger for an interesting tour on Montmedy. As a rebuff to Tino's ongoing comments about the American Army bombarding French forts, they seem to have been quite remiss in flattening the place 😀!!
what a fabulous place, at least in less hostile times, but a place you'd be careful to walk around at night time - i have to say i am forever fascinated by places with multi levels, perhaps this is why if ever i had property i want something with different levels, i do so hate the 2up 2down buildings i bet there are many people who love to explore these places, brings out the kid in you, as it does with both Tino and Roger, good to see Roger jogging along with you Tino some of those walls are mighty high and so steep, incredible build work for the times, you take your hat off to the engineers of the time - they don't build 'em like that any more, they really don't reference Life of Brian - loved it, still do and its saved on my Netflix list, i could easily recite the entire film haha
I have being there with out guid or more information. But to hear 2300 men went away there to help verdun is crazy. Imagine how many germans they could have kill for a battle of the citadel 😮
Tino - What happened with the chick who went spelunking with you? She obviously likes you or she wouldn't have went with you. I don't claim to know your situation, but psychology is one of my areas of expertise. Approximately 85% of communication is non-verbal.
The scale of this place is breath taking, love the battleship type bastions, Tino and Roger are the dynamic duo of Lost Battlefields.👍
Excelente Tino, saludos desde Argentina!!!!

Yes he is good people and you have no idea how many more of these that are hiding out there that no one ever heard of it's quite strange almost

Respect!!!!! Thanks Tino..
Wow more! Can't wait to see this!
I think that's the most amazing place you've been to yet. When you think there's been a fortress there since roman times is fascinating.
I love the over view of the fort showing the point of an ancient fighting design.
Thank you Tino 👍
Very interesting fort. The construction and size are amazing. Thank you Tino and Roger for the tour.
I am a resident of Montmedy and I love your video. Full of archival images and beautiful images of drones!
What a beautiful Citadel
Engaging and interesting as always Tino. I always share.🙏🇺🇸

This going to be a damn good one.
Ou-har...! It's great to have the A team back.
What's the difference between a fort and a fortress. Great video 📹 and drone footage 👍
Its amazing that these would still to this day be useful against infantry if they are without air and heavy artillery suport.
Briliant, and built like it is now 150 years ago. And a fortification since medievil times💯💥💣👍
Probably one of the best fort still in decent shape nice video.

Algorithm Engagement Comment.
I have to write such things so that the algorithm will share this content with other people!
I would feel like a kid in a candy store in there.
Looks like you find Hobbits , Elves and Munchkins in there .

The commander who ordered the excavation basically committed treason
