Hey everybody and you brew if you read this. I was wondering if any of you had any spare transmissions laying around or any advice on what to buy. My mustang's transmission cant use 1st, 3rd, or 5th anymore. And my mustang has an E303 cam with 3.55 gears. Engine is rebuilt (except the crank) and stock heads have been rebuilt too. But besides that it has been sitting for months and I have been searching for transmissions left and right. I ask anybody to input any advice or comment on this if you have or know someone with a transmission preferbly a T5 or T56 or TKX. My dad told me that owning a foxbody is much more than owning a car, its an initiation into a family :).

Heck yeah! Wish I had a track that close. I’ve got a two hour drive to the closest one. Wish they fully open up Jamestown again in ky. They had a no prep race there this summer and was pretty damn cool. I’d definitely get in on that this summer once I get a little more hp. Kinda embarrassed what it runs like now. Swear a big cam in a pretty much stock car kills it, just got the 4:10’s working for me.

I will say from experience with my car when I had it stock with 4.10s and e7s heads I ran a 26 inch tire and it really cuts down your 60ft and if you can like you said leave harder it will go 7.70s no problem and if you can try to put a 2 step on the car so you can floor it off the line at about 4300

Extemely Impressive. Like a professionally sponsored drag car. I gotta say it though - that drivers seat flexes so much. Im afraid it breaks on you after more runs. Do you have a stiffer seat you can put in ? Also - weird that they let people sit there on the concrete barrier with their legs exposed as you do burn outs to warm tires. what if an axle broke and a tire went flying ? track managment needs to get people away from that area. an accident waiting to happen. Fantastic machine. On my 1982 Mustang 5.0 the floorboard cracked under the driver seat mounts from the stress. I had it welded and that fixed it.

The best part was the piece of the headliner falling down. Put a set of world product roush 200 heads and a trickflow stage 3 cam and I promise the poop coupe will run 7.20’s. Stage 3 is a little much for a stock bottom 302. You don't have to have huge heads and cam to run a decent number if it's a street car I'd go with something little more mild but not like real mild decently aggressive for a 302.

That’s an impressive time. You have me thinking about a n41 cam… I’m still apart of the b cam mafia. It’s a great cam down low just lose big end power. I was honestly thinking about going for cam. That’s a better cam for the track IMO. My setup is 306 forged pistons gt40 heads 1.6rr explorer intake. 70tb 76maf. Pullies 4.11’s. Best eat so far is 13.27@104- 8.5 I forgot the mph. But my 60’ sucked 2.0 spinning I ran street tires.. in your opinion with my setup what cam would you put it to get down to to 12’s?

That's not bad for the Poop Coupe. I think you'll get into 7s no problem. If you look up 5.0 Tussin on UA-cam, he has many foxbodies that land 7s. I don't know how but he shifts quick and leaves the tree hard. Every time he pulls the front wheels up and makes it work

Curious what mine would run too, its fully built 331 with trick flo top end - 170 heads, systemax upper and lower, stage 1 cam, just put bbk 1-3/4" long tube headers on so i have to figure something out for the mid pipe, it had mac shorty with borla and sounded great but i chose flow over sound, another thing is after putting a new bbk 75mm TB idle is erratic, i may end up putting the stock throttle body back on, heres a tip for anyone considering bying anything made by equis - dont do it, equis is garbage, their water temp guage lasted 1 week, i looked online and everyone else had similar results
