    I am a gymnast and was a gymnastics coach for 31 years and I am 52 years old and still enjoy this amazing sport.

      They are just for some general fitness conditioning, not for any specific skills (they work the back in a little different way than doing them to the front. I do both and also some closer grip chin ups)
