This song has been one of my favorite songsfor years and I am baffled by what music goes viral and what stays unknown. Music industry is all skewed. This is gold they didn't deserve anyways...
Yo I was just thinking the same! Had this been released this year or recently, it would have been a hit. Waaay ahead of its time, exceptional tune. Maybe it's better that it didn't go viral - it found who it meant to find and who would appreciate it. Peace to you
Seriously! I heard this about 7 years ago for the first time and I'd always add it to my list of "party" music. Never failed to get people moving and asking who it is. I just did it about two weeks ago and I was shocked that not a single person knew it. At least I can come to the comments and read comments of people with great taste in music 💓
Completely agree… unreal this is not a number one hit… i wish someone who hated this song would explain why they hate it and like Iggy Azalea or whatever instead.
The new remix is ok. But ain't got NUTTIN' on the beauty of this original version! The background vocals, strings and synths embrace you, hug you, and never let you go! ♥♥♥
I heard this randomly one day on Pandora. Was not really paying attention. I was like ooh this is interesting, but sounds so familiar. When you hear at first, there are points that don't sound like Zero 7, but then there are parts that do. So my initial thought was "Oh Zero 7 did a remix for someone" Surprise on me, that this is a true-blood Zero 7 track and now I have it in my collection.
Blame it on the streetlights The fingernail moonlight The way that you kissed me How your face hid the moon Blame it on the twilight The waning of the daylight The way you held my hand How you never would let go But baby don't get caught up don't surrender to the touch you can say anything your heart's dreaming of HOOK But don't call it love Call it a longing call it a yearning Don't call it love Call it a sweet dream Shh don't say nothing Its like a beautiful car crash Where two people collide and Nobody gets hurt and No ones left behind And when I dive into your light We swim past the riptide And maybe this is everything yeah that we've been waiting for But baby don't get caught up don't surrender to the touch you can say anything your heart's dreaming of HOOK But don't call it love Call it a longing call it a yearning Don't call it love Call it a sweet dream Shh don't say nothing
This song was perfect today. Great rainy day, driving song. So many feels. Reminds me of Daft Punk and so many more. This will be one of those songs I will play at least once everyday for weeks. This is definitely a keeper.
If only I understood the sentiment I this song when I was younger I could have saved myself a lot of time. It’s not always about getting what you want; It’s the defining moments that come from desire. How the sky looks different, how each step on the sidewalk is mixed up in pain, joy, confusion
Another dope song by one of my favorite groups. Loving their more upbeat style these days. Although, their older tunes are nice for more of a groove and ambient sound. Would love to see them in concert. :)
🌠🎶✨️A smooth mod mix of Fleetwood Mac & the '79 classic 'Love Is the Answer' by England Dan & John Ford Coley, topped of w/a dash of Kool & The Gang 'Summertime' keyboards✨️🎶🌠👌
Holy shit, that's a hot jam! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 All their albums have been in my regular rotation of a long long time, but I have never looked any further into non LP tracks untill recently There sooo much more Zero7 that I didn't know about! 😲
This is one of those Hall of Fame songs! Pure perfection!
Going to be on the new LP!!
Yes, the bass
11 years later it still holds up.
One of the greatest songs in existence. Musically, lyrically, vocally. All of it.
Totally agree Kristin. Cooler than a penguin with a backpack full of choc-ices.

Great song ! The beat sounds like a Prince song in the 80s when he was using the linndrum (close to the song "Raspberry Beret")

I'm feeling something for this song, but I won't call it love
I yearn for this song 😂
Blame it on the streetlights
The fingernail moonlight
The way that you kissed me
How your face hid the moon
Blame it on the twilight
The waning of the daylight
The way you held my hand
How you never would let go
But baby don't get caught up
don't surrender to the touch
you can say anything
your heart's dreaming of
HOOK
But don't call it love
Call it a longing
call it a yearning
Don't call it love
Call it a sweet dream
Shh don't say nothing
Its like a beautiful car crash
Where two people collide and
Nobody gets hurt and
No ones left behind
And when I dive into your light
We swim past the riptide
And maybe this is everything
yeah that we've been waiting for
But baby don't get caught up
don't surrender to the touch
you can say anything
your heart's dreaming of
HOOK
But don't call it love
Call it a longing
call it a yearning
Don't call it love
Call it a sweet dream
Shh don't say nothing

Quintessential Zero 7 song. Smokey & leathery feeling with a smooth funky groove and great jam going out.
BEAUTIFUL, makes me think of nights in a city, just walkin from bar to bar taking in the sightes and sounds
Give whomever mastered this a raise.

I was just thinking the exact same thing. I could see Prince producing this track in his basement in Minneapolis.
