This track was way ahead of its time back then. So far ahead of its time that it almost seems like the remixes that were made only aspired to be comparable to the real thing at best. This is a masterpiece of musical creativity. Hell Yeah!

ALL TRACKS are way ahead of their time - whenever I play-with (operative word = WITH = play-with) any music - as I do NOT play it the way countless others have followed along the blind commercial system - of playing a two channel stereo system by way of ONE CHANNEL - on the left-hand side & ONE CHANNEL on the right-hand side? Oh no - I either "play these" in total 360 degrees "analogue" surround sound (via my own invented multiple channel decoder system - that i discovered away back in 1965) OR - I play "things" from TOP TO BOTTOM, with a subwoofer at CENTER-HEIGHT. Why ? Because then I not only get the old-school (original) MONO SOUND of summated R+L channels, at the TOP Of the speaker tower stack - but I get a completely unheard HIDDEN track - that plays near the floor - whilst the summated SUB-WOOFER is summated between the normal MONO and the OTHER 90 degrees out-of-phase MONO - being the one I get out of the hidden content within any stereo recording (from the rear of studio / rear stage effects) - which when combined in full noise - actively give me a LOT MORE audio content - than you will ever get - playing forwards OR backwards any of your music - whether in direct analogue players - or from any digitized "virtual" sound delayed frontal system of "front surround only". And then sometimes - I go & 4k all of that up - by overlaying the completely opposite direction of play of that top/bottom content - into the opposing bottom & top channels (but over-layed in reverse).. I bought it back in 1983, small record shop, called "Music Man" in Bruges Belgium. Those were the days. The "Maxi single" is next to me here, kinda proud.
Like all perfect songs, they over played it on the radio, I remember... took me until today to revisit it! Brings back so many fun times, back when I was young and stoopid.

This is my favourite rendition of the song. Love how minimalistic this first version was, but still incredibly good and catchy. The 88 version's got too much sound effects for my taste.
