I thought it was super! Awesome Job! Thanks for getting it up so quick so we can all play it now:) Don't worry about people's opinions on covers and notes, since we can play these notes in a bunch of different ways and positions. I have also seen about 5-10 covers and each is also different, of course! ps..
thanks! and yeah, I'm not particularly worried, just was trying to prove a point that music is diverse and subjective (which is, in my opinioin one of its best qualities). And the tab I provided is a pdf, I wasn't aware that gp had a feature that could open these? Either way I made it in gp 7.5 if that means anyhting. But I'm pretty sure the files have to have a .gp or an .xml at the end.
Glad you liked the cover! All the gear I used to make it is in the description if you wanna check that out. Other than that I mix and master everything myself in REAPER. The guitars in the chorus are overdubbed several times for a wider sound, the cleans and the prechorus is a single guitar recording. Hope that helps :)
Thanks! Nothing special, just turned the gain all the way up on the od channel on my amp, the eq is done in post so I record with everything on max. I also overdub with recordings done using the overdrive pedal in the description, this time with gain all the way as well.
I think everyone has a different tab for this song. This the 3rd different tab I've seen for this song tonight. The Official tab on Ultimate guitar center is completely different, and this song is in Eb. Good job pulling off the song with a Strat without making it sound like you're using a Strat.
Yep, my main goal isn't really pinpoint accuracy with these videos (though obviously I am trying to be faithful to the original, I'm also just doing this for fun haha). It's fun to see how everyone interprets it. And thanks! I've always loved the HSS strats because of the versatility they provide. That's why it's my go-to guitar.

@@user-j8r4c damn lol, if you wanna see covers that play note by note exactly as in the song, youve come to the wrong place. I'd be absolutely bored out of my mind if I tabbed everything with 100% precision, that completely destroys any creativity that a player might have. I try to play similarly to what's in the original, of course, but I definitely don't spend 2 hours analyzing a 2 second clip over and over just so that I can have a formulaic and robotic cover. It's music, after all, a form of art. Not physics.
@@emmamercer5658 its honestly fine if you ask me. It's all up to interpretation and what we individually hear. I enjoy seeing how people do a song different then me. For example. The chorus lead part I don't play an octave i just play single notes (it's not that loud in the recording). I also play measure 43 differently and the part slightly after it where it descends back before the repeat. At the second part of the bridge when playing the higher notes that ascend I play a power chord cause I hear a second note. The solo we play seem different as well and the bridge after the solo I do a mini solo mostly just sustaining other notes that would harmonize well and I play the really quiet notes that are sustained in the song. Last note: I get why you switched a lot between rythym and lead for it to be more diverse but when I play by myself I usually just pick a side
