My favorite read of 2023 was The September House. It is on my 5 star all time favorites list. I just reread it in September of course. Definitely checking out If You See Her because I do love me some Ania Ahlborn and that's one I haven't read yet.

The movie adaptation of How to Sell a Haunted House is being produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert's Ghost House Pictures,

Agree with The Woman in Black. It's short but gloomy. Hope you will make a list of books with the best/creepiest atmosphere.

I LOVED Kill Creek. His writing was filled with so much great imagery it was easy for me to see every single thing he described.

I’m a newer follower catching up on older posts while trying to keep up with current. You have an incredible talent. Very bright, opinionated and engaging. I don’t always agree with your opinions, but you make me second guess myself a lot. 😂 And when we do agree you still make me think about the book in an entirely new way. Thanks for everything you do.

Have you read Slade House by David Mitchell? Incredible read. Get one of the original hardcover square versions. It will change your (horror) world.

Considering Stephen King is almost 80 years old, imagining him in haunted house shenanigans is very funny. The book definitely sounds interesting though. I'll add it to my TBR.
