This song is So Damn Powerful..!!! Always bringing a tear to my eyes everytime i'm listening to it.. I can't help it..!! I could listen To this song a thousand times and still love it as much..
When I first listened to this song (about 15 minutes ago), I immediately showed it to my mother. She said it was her father's story - he served as a medic in Patton's army - except he took joy in the knowledge that the war was over.
I never take care about the lyrics in the songs and I don't want to know what the song is about, but this is the only song ever of which the lyrics shock me. First time in my life I met a song that amazes me lyrically, even though I almost don't understand English in music. And the melody also is great in this song. This is the real deal. It's in my top 5 Sonata Arctica songs. I'm nicely surprised that such a masterpieces have so few views. I like when a masterpiece is an unknown song
I just can't fathom never knowing what I'm listening to. The lyrics are main drive in nearly every single of my favorite songs. You make them tottal fucking gibberish and they lost all of their power and meaning.
@@krzysztofpiasek5682 you are right but its not an easy task to pay attention to the lyrics all the time especially if you don't know the language well
This song is so powerful makes my heart ache my dad like millions of others have fought wars to keep us safe to keep our freedom and I know that my dad suffered horrendous nightmares over and over again about what he and others had to do to keep us safe. This song should be released and all money go to help fir heroes my god what a song
Perhaps we could get Simon cowell to release this exact version as a single and all monies made go to help the heroes does anybody agree with me and does anyone know how to get his attention to it
The one like In 6 months proves everyone who went and come back are now the forgotten but not fallen. We need help. 21 combat veterans a day kill themselves because they cannot deal or know how to deal with their demons. Most of us won't talk and self medicate til we just can't go on amymore. But thank you I appreciate the comment a lot but it's just a sad reality.
Most of us need service dogs, I got lucky and bonded with one who is now that. It cost 6-10k to train a service a service dog. Wed rather spend billions on other countries than on vets or our own homeless peiple.
If your lucky to get one, more than likely it was privately donated and to get one there is a very long waiting line. The VA who's supposed to help is swamped still and still I feel wastes momey. A private Corp could do it for cheaper. Months for disability claims. We swore an oath to the people of this country and in return the government promised to take care of us if we got hurt. Well millions are hurt by ptsd, tbi. The trash and bombs are causing our lungs to fail. I have spider webs in my lungs because of that. I get why they burned the trash caused it was piled so high on the side of the street with human waste and bombs would be hidden in the trash but there was no warning they were doing so or the affect on our health. At 31 I'm looking the begging of OCPD and I barely smoke 2 cigarettes a day. This is will be the death of Many of us just like agent orange was a killer in vietnam. Also I lost friends there and 4 since I've been home (2010)....... if we were going to set the Iraqis up for failure then why did we go and why didn't we stay to fight isis?.... war where they send us to die and too many people have their hand in the honey jar in government who made millions during campaigns OIF, OEF. Afghanistan I see. Iraq well the only reason is money and business was and is good......anyway my thoughts on that seeing I am a 31yo ARMY combat vet for OIF and my body feels about 50 to 60 and falling apart. Can't keep a job because I can't stand people and no FKs given from Washington except we can't have guns. My only problem is the oath I swore to the American people was as long as I draw breath. Both enemies foreign and domestic. We have a huge enemy at home where people serve their careers in the house and senate. Not the way our forefathers wanted for this country not close. Elections are BS our freedom is BS and an allusion. So I'll keep my guns and when the American people need me I hope i am still around to answer that call. Climbing off the soapbox. ..... dueces

Sadly, For some, The war is never over. It's the silence that hurts the most.
