I need to take a trip back home. I have a home there and need to check on it. I just wish I could go back to live there. I may schedule a trip by December of this year. Did you go by the beer drinking pigs in the rain forest/
Jordan, Nice video. I lived on St Croix for 8 years on Rainbow Beach just North of what used to be called Rainbow Beach Club. Back then it was a nice quite place but now run over with tourist.
Stumbled upon this video and I'd like to add that being that Sandy Point beach barely has corals close to the Shore and is mainly sandy, the depth of the water can be deceiving, you can walk maybe 10ft. off shore and be 20ft. under water lol...as opposed to say Cane Bay where you can walk 100ft. from shore and be maybe waist deep I've been to almost all of these beaches being that I was born and raised on St. Croix, except maybe to hoity toity ones in the East 😂, and there's maybe 2 or 3 that you missed but it's no big deal
Shoy's Beach suffered a lot of erosion. Waves are rough, water is murky & as you enter the water the ground is concrete slab which was laid there to prevent further erosion. Distance from shore to mangroves is uphill & shorter than before. Also lots of biting flies there.
are you from there or had just moved down there. I am from there but live in the US now. I miss it and my school friends I havent seen in about 20 years
There are two carambola, carambola hotel right by the beach. its nice and located by north shore cane bay beach and then you have carambola fruit which is also called star fruit. It is delicious.
I lived 5 minutes from Ha' Penny (that's how it's spelled) and an interesting "story" as to how it got it's name. I hope it's changed but there used to be a HUGE pile of trash right near where you would park. Shoy's was always my favorite. Sandy Point was really nice but on the opposite end of the island from me. You hit pretty much all of them. The "problem" with several of them is the rocky ground...especially once you get INTO the water. Jacks and Isaac's were really nice but quite a hike...especially if you have umbrellas, coolers full of beer, etc.
Hello: I want to immigrate from the USA to Saint Croix Island USA 1. do you have any videos about immigrating to Saint Croix Island as a woman alone to live here? Safty for women? 2 also do you have any videos about bad things about living in Saint Croix Island? 3. I am not a wealthy person I am on an extremely tight budget, any videos about living in Saint Croix Island on a poor budget? thanks
Good afternoon, if you are an American citizen which it looks like you are from your profile name, you don't immigrate to the USVI. We are part of the US, It's a US territory. Everything is the same down here as the mainland. Except we drive on the left and don't vote for president. We even have a Kmart 😁 If you have questions I'd be glad to answer for you
Julia, I am from St. Croix. If you are on a tight budget, that is not the place for you. It is very expensive. After the closing of the refinery, the economy is not that great. I left due to work but wish to go back one day. If you are alone don't do it. Also, Crime is just like any other place, you have good places and bad places. And like the previous comment mentioned, you dont immigrate there, it is a US territory, no passport needed.
@@JordanOutside The sargassum in mostly an eastside problem during certain months but volunteers try to remove what they can. Between Ziggy's gas station and the St Croix Yacht club is usually one of the worst areas. These beaches are great but there are other beaches that are great too but the locals only know where they are. :)
Going there for the first time this March thanks for the pointers. Looks like a beautiful island.
I'm so excited for you. You're going to love it 😃
Gorgeous place! Would love to be sitting at a nice beach right now!
I totally agree! 😀
Thank you for the amazing informative video. Which beach has the most calming water, hardly any waves,
Thanks. Every day is different with waves, but while we were there Sprat Hall Beach was the most calm and so beautiful. Hope that helps 😃
Ocean and beach very beautiful
Thanks, I totally agree.

No, I didn't even know about that. Sounds awesome!

Wow, what a place to live! St. Croix was amazing 😀
Great video! thank you
Hi Alejandra, thanks for the feedback 😃
We just returned from Exuma and loved your video. St Croix was recommended to us. How would you compare the two islands?
Thanks so much! Both islands are absolutely amazing. I liked the Exumas a little better, but they are both amazing.

You had me at beach! 🏖 💕
Thanks Julie!

Also, when I was there in 11/21 the beach was littered with Sargassum Seaweed how could I forget having to scrape myself a spot to lay the towel down!
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about the erosion.
I used to live on the island. 🫶🏼
That's awesome! Such a beautiful place.

Is there a beach shallow for kids and close to hotels
Your best bet is probably Mermaid Beach. It was pretty calm and right by a hotel. ua-cam.com/video/k2h9HFUHJNc/v-deo.htmlsi=bX1e99kccwWf-RpJ
Shoy beach is right by a hotel and a nice beach. There is also a hotel by south shore right by the beach. Divi Carina bay hotel.
it looks like there are alot of rocks. which beaches dont have too many rocks?
You have to take a boat to get there, but Buck Island had the softest sand with no rocks.
Protestant Cay is a great sandy beach with great snorkeling. It has Hotel on the Cay there and you get there from the boardwalk in Christiansted.
Where is Carombola?
We missed that one. Now I guess I need to go back. St. Croix is so beautiful 😃

What Month did you visit St. Croix?
We were there in April.
@@JordanOutside The beaches are the best. My dad is a fisherman there. I miss it a lot
@@danny6247 Wow, what an amazing place to be a fisherman!
How long is the hike to Isaacs?
The hike to Isaac's Bay Beach is only 0.5 miles. It took us 10 to 15 minutes. Hope that helps 😀
There was a trail that was cut to get there from Point Udall that's pretty quick and easy
@@cruzanconfusion8359 Great tip, thanks!

Good Afternoon, Ha'Penny is cleaned up now. Never gets crowded. I too live up the hill in Bugby Hole.

I'm great, thanks 😀
I have never been to st croix but I was not impressed with the beaches
Buck Island was my favorite. Where's your favorite beach?
What about the sargassum invasion on st Croix?
We went in April and didn't have any issues with that. Are you there now and having that?
