I think Walter was brainwashed. Even the writers have no clue to what happens to Walter. I love Walter he is a badass a good character. He wanted to kill Alucard because he is a hunter but I think he never betrayed his "family" he cared about Integra and Seras and even Alucard after all these years. But he was brainwashed and his desire to best alucard came back. That's my opinion. Good job on the video

actually,walter wasn't brainwashed.he only wanted to kill alucard,thats his job as a vampire hunter.but he knew he wasn't strong enough at that time to match alucard. so, he made a deal with the major in 1944 during the war.a deal that he would be turned into a vampire,so that he will be strong enough to match alucard.however, alucard was sealed away after world war 2 by integra's father.it took 50 years,but walter made sure that integra released alucard upon her father's death

walter wasn't brainwashed. He chose to go against hellsing...mostly because he wanted to challenge alucard and win..

I used to REALLY love Walter until I found out that he was nothing but a back stabbing loser who betrayed the trust of poor Integra and acted like he really cared for her and Alucard! I still don't like watching his death, but I'd rather watch it a hundred times over than Anderson's! And he was also a damn "villain" but at least he didn't betray anyone! Sorry if this makes anyone mad! I'm just venting! And on note with the video, it was nicely made! It just made me sad to think that they had to go and ruin his character!!!! D:

That's walter as a teen back during WW2. Type in "The Dawn Episode 1" into the search bar. It's a prelude to Hellsing.
