What If Alucard Stabbed Himself With Helena's Nail? Would He Become Even More Powerful? Or Would The Nail Have No Effect On Him? Just Imagine How Powerful Post-Schrodinger Sphagetti Monster Alucard Would Be

Doubt anyone will see this. I think that the vampire in the 2001 version Anderson fought and tried to off himself against was actually alucard. It would make sense if it was during ww2 alucard would have been fighting alongside walter during that time in the war.
"You know how your pet vampire has got his own pet vampire? Well, that got me thinkin', so I acquired a couple of learned youngsters myself! Two of them, which is twice as good! And here's the real kicker: One's Japanese and the other one's fuckin' German! Ain't that topical? I just need me an Italian and I got myself an Axis of Righteousness! Yumi, say something in moon speak!"
What does that maxwell mean? I do understand what you're saying but never heard the term maxwell being used like that. Usually it is a pronoun. Anyway yeah rules be damned when it comes to killing Alucard. Didn't really care for the ending but I guess it was the only logical conclusion. I just expected it.
So that's what the song Anderson referred to when it said that Alexander was a reformed gangster that joined Iscariot after killing a vampire with a shiv.
12:10 I think Anderson's flashback was taken from that scene in the Manga/OVA where the SWAT soldier, who had been sent to kill Alucard on suspicions of terrorism, shot himself through the mouth; my reason for believing this is not only the resemblance between the two scenes, but the fact that, while ripping Anderson's arms, Alucard says the same line to him that he says to the SWAT soldier. If this is indeed the case I find it odd that GONZO would retrofit this specific scene for God knows what reason.
I have a wild theory. Alucard refers to Anderson as his nemesis and also speaks of giving him an opportunity to kill him centuries ago. He may have been speaking figuratively or just referring to another person but what if they were old rivals. What if somehow he gave him knowledge for a prolonged life so that one day he would be worthy enough to end his unlife
@@vladyvhv9579 He doesn't. Alucard meant humanity as a whole. The only other character that came close to killing him for good was Abraham Hellsing and he was just a regular human.
This is how I see it. Alucard was once extremely religious but at the end of his life lost his faith and gave up his humanity and became a monster for power. He respects humans who can keep their faith and have the willpower to stay human even in the face of death because he himself couldn’t do it. This is shown many times like when Alucard meets the queen or when he fights Walter and says his aged body was better than his younger vampire one. Also when Anderson becomes a monster he is greatly disappointed because he made the same mistake he did.
I always assumed Anderson was already a regenerator when he was a soldier but for whatever reason wasn't aware of it, and only found out after trying to kill himself and not dying.
I’m just gonna throw out that if he’s a Italian soldier and since he’s really good with bladed weapons (his bayonets) he could’ve been a ww1 arditi , their form of special forces that used bladed weapons and rushed enemy trenches to secure them while also taking prisoners
Actually it's more likely that Alexander Anderson has been alive for centuries since when Dracula speaks to him he talks to him with a semblance of familiarity almost as if they've had this battle before like a record on repeat with Alexander even telling him that he'll always come back whenever Dracula is involved
What I think happened is that he fully pulled the trigger but the bullet got jammed, then someone from the Iscariots came to save him and told him something along the lines of "You should be thanking God your gun jammed, you could have died." and then he did thank God and begged the Iscariots to help him be able to protect people like he was protected and was taken back, turned into a regenerator and trained. Either that or it was a sadistic vampire that would only drink from living humans and Anderson pulled the trigger and the bullet ripped through his head but somehow as if by miracle missed his brain, leaving him unconscious and saving his life from the vampire where afterwards the Iscariots found his still bleeding body and may have had to turn him into a regenerator to save him. Either of those events would explain his extremely religious and extreme in general mindset.
Shame theres not a whole lot of backstory but sometimes less is more, atleast when it comes to writing. Alittle off topic but id like to see a conversation between alexander anderson and joshua graham, it would be the most interesting debate about the bible ever and im not even a cathloic myself.
I don't think he could, but that's the whole point and what disappointed Alucard: the whole point of a human trying to fight such an unfathomably superior monster is that a man's faith, courage and will is the only thing he has to fall back on... and that is ok. Anderson "cheated".
Anderson doesn't sound like an Italian surname, to add that Irish accent doesn't scream WWII Italian soldier. Perhaps an Italian mercenary group made up of foreign soldiers like the *_Wild Geese, Waffen SS, French Foreign Legion, (Academi) Blackwater, Wagner group_* something along those lines ya know *correction.
I love hellsing and ultima, but m8 how can u not see the simbleisem in this story and how it shows all 3 forms of "sides" u have Alucard as evil(the devel) we have Anderson as the good(haven) and then we have the Major as a robort (science)for me the story is about how if u go to fare in enything u end up evil and as a villan, just look at how every person in the story chances, exept Integra... but my point is just i think that in this story Anderson is around the same age as Alucard, as this 2(3) are just the latest soldiers in a never ending war, rember its not stated i Hellsing that Alucard was/is the first vampyer, only that he is the strongest, a count or a king but not the first!(this point is more clear in hellsing then in ultima)
I like that you brought up the sides of good and evil. However, I can not understand what "sigens" means. There a lot of words spelled incorrectly but I can understand everything except "sigens". Can you explain what it means or use it in a sentence?
I, for one, don't think Anderson was an Italian soldier, because that would have put him on the side of the Axis, and as we know, the Nazis who became Millennium and were experimenting with harnessing the power of vampires were as well, so he wouldn't have inherently been put into conflict with those vampires. I realize that Millennium doesn't factor into the Studio Gonzo series, but that series still contains references to Alucard and Walter fighting vampires together during WWII, so the occult wing of the Nazi regime trying to harness vampires still plays into the narrative, I believe. And given Anderson's non-Italian name (though in fairness, that could always be a code name or an alias) and more specifically his appearance and consistent Scottish accent, I think it's more likely that he was a Scot fighting in the War on on the side of the Allies in the British military. Anderson could have been a Catholic already (there's certainly plenty of both Catholics and Protestants in Scotland), or he could have converted after the fact. Whatever the case, my theory is that he survived that vampire encounter in WWII, was saved by Iscariot and joined them, volunteering for the experiments that made him what he became.
I'm pretty sure he was suppossed to be an Irishman, also, doesn't Alucard say that they met centuries earlier? It's been years since I watched, but I could've sworn that that was the case.
Not specifically. It's more that Allucard was speaking to Anderson as a representative of Iscariot. He's had encounters with them before. But it's been a long while since one like Anderson's shown up and become a proper threat.
@@vladyvhv9579 I'm not sure, whenever Anderson was brought up, to me, it seemed implied that they were showing a continuous story through both, direct and indirect, reference. (Again, it's been a while) Especially after the rapid transformative capabilities of artifacts are introduced along with how hard they leaned into the 'Celtic-Catholic'-image with him which could imply some experience with an artifact occuring as far back as the 4th-7th centuries A.C.E. Between the time of the late Roman Empire, leading into the Saxon kingdoms and the Vikings, Ireland had developed into a network of Monasteries, to which, Vikings put to a decisive end. I could imagine an ancient Romanized Celt being viewed as a good foil to their presentation of Alucard as an ancient presence. Even if Alucard wasn't quite as old as that, having been born during the Ottoman Turks' reign, having him go up against one of the earliest adherents to Christianity would seem like something the creators would find appealing. NOTE: I have no idea why I am getting this notification 11 days after your reply was made.
Good video but the fight between Anderson and Alucard in the 2001 series is definitely better than the OVA simply because of the music and pacing a fight that ends in t minus 30 seconds with dorky music isn’t very interesting even if it’s drawn well

Mark Strong could absolutely do his voice but could he play the character.
To be precise Alucard (or Arucard) didn't play fair. It wasn't one on one fight, it was Alexander against the hundreds of thousands Alucard killed during his life (of which he sicced hundreds on Alexander and what was left of Iscariot). He even mocked him for having just one hand left to fight and being barely able to stand. Alucard had no respect for him as an equal then. I liked alexander so much, tis a shame he would shoot me in the head lol or stab me actually

Anderson couldn't win due to becoming a monster himself. Famous Canonical quote
"Humans kill monsters,
They must be killed by humans alone".
@@Buki_sandwich I love that quote, as he lost by default as he lost everything that made him powerful which was having a soul.
saint guillotine and god's assassin are the most metal band names ive ever heard
AB-So-Loot-Lee!!!
My favorite Hellsing character, havent seen any anime quite like hellsing again, wished drifters had gone on for longer
"...he also manages to hack him to bits before beheading the Nosferatu and screaming 'Amen!'"
Well, that's step one. What about steps two through ten?
"How in the blood-soaked, protestant hell did you do that?!"
Love Anderson, When he gives his speech before stabbing himself in the heart make me so fking sad T^T
It was so damn good, Amen.
"Monster of God" is such a fantastic name.
He's so awesome I got what was written on his gloves as tattoos on my forearms
What If Alucard Stabbed Himself With Helena's Nail?
Would He Become Even More Powerful? Or Would The Nail Have No Effect On Him?
Just Imagine How Powerful Post-Schrodinger Sphagetti Monster Alucard Would Be
He would have been killed as it’s a Holy Relic much like the Shroud of Turin…as AlucRd became unholy by his act of drinking human blood which was also offered to the Major but he resisted and instead used science to become a cyborg instead ..so yes those holy artificial would kill Alucard but to a worthy “human” who don’t have unholy superpowers ..they would become somethjng much more…neither day nor night as Anderson
Doubt anyone will see this. I think that the vampire in the 2001 version Anderson fought and tried to off himself against was actually alucard. It would make sense if it was during ww2 alucard would have been fighting alongside walter during that time in the war.
"Don't weep for the stupid! You'll be crying all day!" - Alexander Anderson
TFS has a pretty damned good backstory for Anderson
"Ohh, you've got a nail with some Savior juice on it, what are you gonna do, stab me in the heart with it?"
"Not yours...mine"
We need a video on The Captain
Abridged Anderson is my preferred representation
Idk why but i feel like his accent in the dub really fits his character well
"You know how your pet vampire has got his own pet vampire? Well, that got me thinkin', so I acquired a couple of learned youngsters myself! Two of them, which is twice as good! And here's the real kicker: One's Japanese and the other one's fuckin' German! Ain't that topical? I just need me an Italian and I got myself an Axis of Righteousness! Yumi, say something in moon speak!"
My o my I've been waiting for this! Thank you for the video!!
He's a man of three things: killing vampires, spreading the word of God to people and disobeying that prat Maxwell when it suits him.
@@dianapennepacker6854Maxwell as in the character, watch the abridged version.
I saw a comment on another video talking about how Anderson used bayonets because he’s “God’s Weapon” and bayonets are the “Weapon wielded by Weapons”
I have so much good memories back in the day when Hellsing and other anime were released or when a new ps3 game was released, now everything is dull.
So that's what the song Anderson referred to when it said that Alexander was a reformed gangster that joined Iscariot after killing a vampire with a shiv.
This video is long overdue Alexander Anderson is just as iconic as Alucard himself.
Got a religious ad on this lol

So what can i do for ye Father O'Mally-O'Connell-O'Carol-O'Reily-O'Brian-O'Sullivan (Who is also italian)
Anderson is such an awesome character
Oooh boy iwas wondering when he will be brought up
12:10 I think Anderson's flashback was taken from that scene in the Manga/OVA where the SWAT soldier, who had been sent to kill Alucard on suspicions of terrorism, shot himself through the mouth; my reason for believing this is not only the resemblance between the two scenes, but the fact that, while ripping Anderson's arms, Alucard says the same line to him that he says to the SWAT soldier. If this is indeed the case I find it odd that GONZO would retrofit this specific scene for God knows what reason.
"bayonets for days"
I have a wild theory. Alucard refers to Anderson as his nemesis and also speaks of giving him an opportunity to kill him centuries ago. He may have been speaking figuratively or just referring to another person but what if they were old rivals. What if somehow he gave him knowledge for a prolonged life so that one day he would be worthy enough to end his unlife
I figured that he didn't mean Anderson, but rather the Iscariot organization.
The only Priest I’ll ever agree to become
I always assumed Anderson was already a regenerator when he was a soldier but for whatever reason wasn't aware of it, and only found out after trying to kill himself and not dying.
He is the reason I became a Christian. Not a turn the other cheek , but it's time for a crusade Christian.
He's not mad, and in the end he shows much more sanity than Maxwell too.
1:48 he reminds me of Fash from Trigun
Shame theres not a whole lot of backstory but sometimes less is more, atleast when it comes to writing. Alittle off topic but id like to see a conversation between alexander anderson and joshua graham, it would be the most interesting debate about the bible ever and im not even a cathloic myself.
I get the feeling he was an orphan that may have experienced some really evil things first hand, maybe even a vampire!
Frankenstein
I feel like that if Alexander didn't use the nail thingy he would've probably killed Alucard because Alcuard might have let him
I don't think he could, but that's the whole point and what disappointed Alucard: the whole point of a human trying to fight such an unfathomably superior monster is that a man's faith, courage and will is the only thing he has to fall back on... and that is ok. Anderson "cheated".
So the major was exatly what you described
Anderson doesn't sound like an Italian surname, to add that Irish accent doesn't scream WWII Italian soldier. Perhaps an Italian mercenary group made up of foreign soldiers like the *_Wild Geese, Waffen SS, French Foreign Legion, (Academi) Blackwater, Wagner group_* something along those lines ya know *correction.
A holy man indeed.
Anderson is goated
we need a prequel series from alexander anderson

Where do you get off calling him a mad priest? He is the sanest proest ive ever watched.
@@baileycastro6060 sure m8, its science
The og voice actor does sooo creepy job❤
Technically, is the anime's are any indication, Anderson is Scottish not Italian. LOL
*AND BECAUSE IS FUCKING FUN!!*
The style of bayonet will help clue in how old he is.
I wanna make a dnd character based on Anderson someday.
I love Andersons character
Hellsing abridged is canon screw you fight me
the animes are awesome, the Abriged hellsing ultimate? FUCKING EPIC.
@@vladyvhv9579 Or he's reffering to Humanity as a whole, with Anderson being still somewhat human, despite the regeneration abilities.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life

Good video but the fight between Anderson and Alucard in the 2001 series is definitely better than the OVA simply because of the music and pacing a fight that ends in t minus 30 seconds with dorky music isn’t very interesting even if it’s drawn well

Sorry , but Alexander is not an "extremist". He is what ALL Christians should strive to be.
Boondock. Saints.
But with the nail in Alexander he felt fear of unknown outcome. Feeling for once this could be one fight he could actually lose.
Does andersons Scottish accent sound off? I always felt he was Dutch.
