These guys had the most sympathetic vibe ever when i saw them in Hamburg. The frontdude seemed like the friendliest guy ever and the stage presence of the band just was so fucking positive. I honestly hope ill see them again some day
Me and some friends met both of them in a bar at the jersey shore like 7 years ago and we went up to say hi and tell them we were big fans. They invited us to sit with them and hangout for a while. They were the most down to earth dudes you could meet.
Sometimes I wake up at night really panicky, I've started going on a front bottoms music video marathon and these dorks just make me so happy for some reason.
This band is what keeps me going, to whoever is reading this, you fucking got this kick ass and dont look back. (Edit) I’m twenty now, wrote this comment when I was 15 and ironically going through the worst period of my life. Every time a new like or comment pops up over the years it makes my day. Keep kicking ass, I guess we still got it.
So to quote Brian from the Champagne Jam this weekend: "this is a song about me getting into a fight and then trying to hop a fence and falling and breaking both of my arms." Makes sense... sorta.
Oh man.. im super late to the party here, but that chorus line is really hitting me hard. 'cause i was young and thought I didn't have to care about anything, but now that I'm older I know that I should'. It's so melancholy but totally accurate and a very poetic way of summing up my life. The other line in the song, where he changes the tense of the words, also seem to imply that because he spent so much time not caring, it's harder to develop those feelings now.. and that's the part that made me cry.
Found you guys one random day while chilling and thinking about how i like my life how it is. I enjoy floating through time. but everyone else is trying to tell me i cant live this way. Then i heard you guys just a faint noise at first...but then i tuned into your voices and instruments and BAM BABY!!!your music ended up taking over this place in my head that i didnt even know was there. Now its settled in and I can just think of you guys... The Front Bottoms! And continue floating around and being happy my way.
Lol I love when they close up on that sarcastic ass face when he'll be sure to put a fight. I also love the way the song is mixed in the video. That Low plucking guitar and kick really stands out.

"but you were young you thought you didn't have to care" about anything and now you wish that you could is such a subtle change but it packs such a punch.
I am an 80's goon - graduated 1985 in So Cal where we ALL played some instrument and were in a band whether you did actually play one (I really played mine and still do) and there was this weird almost underground thing where this style was kind of in with some crowds. I admit, I don't get it that well, but I was involved in a bunch of bands and these kind of remind me of wall of voodoo, cathedral of tears (post TSOL), and later (late 80s but we went to high school together in Long Beach in the mid 80's) maybe sublime or similar bands like them of my era. And I hear the killers influence for sure
This song has been getting me through a rough time. The lyrics are very relatable. She was French, I'm from the Jersey Tri-state area, similar situation haha But the sun shines and I know there will be a tomorrow when this song is jamming in my ears. Keep making amazing music TFB :)
I found this band today and I had the audacity to think "This sounds like McCafferty" and then I realized "I steal all my lines from this guy named Brian"
I’ll always love you, even as life changes and we grow and move on. I will always cherish our time spent together. Thank you for the experiences and fun we had.
My older sister got me into these amazing young talented men in 2014. It has been such a pleasure being a fan of them. They were in my state a few years back they come to my state every two years which is awesome. They perform for us for $25 per ticket. I love you sis. I hope you see my comment, and tell me how much you love me. I love you @thefrontbottoms. Keep up the good work for your amazing fans we will NEVER forget you and how much you actually mean to us

But not to the point where they get a lot of attention like, one direction or something. In my opinion, they are better than 1D, and should be more recognized
brook-is- a-penguin They are better than 1D in every aspect but 1D has a more mainstream sound and is targeted towards 12 year old girls. Also they were put together by Simon cowell so of course they're gonna be more popular. But that certainly does not mean they're better. This band has more music talent then any of those fakes ass pop stars. This band got famous the right way. They built their fan base unlike all these super famous pop stars who are put out under a big record label and get famous over night. They'll probably never be as big as a pop star but I'm just glad that you, me, and lots of other people see how talented they really are.
because everyone listens to shit rap music and is so caught up with that and don't realize the good music around them.. listen to day wave he's really good
as TFB are under Fueled By Ramen, they are under one of the best, and also, kinda mainstream (in alternative music sense) record labels. they have a potential to get big, and most of that depends on their management, but I don't think that they actually aim to be mainstream, at least, not from looking at their last released stuff. the thing is, this type of music is not really "in style" right now, but, looking at other Fueled By Ramen bands, like Panic at The Disco, Paramore or Twenty One Pilots, it is not impossible for them to get more popular, it's just in the fact that they have to adjust their sound to what is "in" right now (as the bands I mentioned have done, more or less), but I don't think that it's their plan. They are under a great label, they earn an honest living by doing what they like, and I think it's kinda beautiful, that they are staying true to themselves & their sound, and not selling out because of greed. :) (I'm about to finish a degree in music industry, I know a thing or two about what I am talking about)
These guys had the most sympathetic vibe ever when i saw them in Hamburg. The frontdude seemed like the friendliest guy ever and the stage presence of the band just was so fucking positive. I honestly hope ill see them again some day

Did he watch from the corner of the room as some kid tried to start the fight?
Producer: "So what animal do you want in the background while you play?"
Brian and Mat: "Yes"
