Good looking shoe, getting them on my next payday. Battle Royal is one of my fave foreign language films of all time. I love the frayed design I have pretty much similar on my Adidas Youth of Paris collab. Looking forward to getting these.
Good looking shoe though I'd probably trim enough of the frayed stitching so it won't touch the floor and get dirty. Weird that they run big. On Forums, Centennials and Rivalrys I go tts. Superstars for sure you have down go down 1/2 size.
Is he TTS?
I typically follow the sizing recommendations of the brand. It’s near impossible to determine fit from photos and/or another silhouette.
Examples: WB collabs can fit snug because she adds so much material for structure. I normally need to half-size down in the Superstar, but the Superstar Parley fits tts which is great. Fortunately, I was able to try it before I purchased.
This colorway is amazing. I bet you could add a thinner foam insole to perfect the fit. The backstay branding is the best detail imo. The mix of materials is so thoughtful - that mesh toebox should be more common for these leather Bball retros. Shoutout to Kenny Three-Stripes for getting you a pair.
I copped the Samba BSTN and the Samba Politics from the Round of 16. But the Samba EB was cool too - as were all the Sambas. I was drawn to the untraditional materials. The leopard print lining of the Samba Politics is an easy detail to match with beige or gold-ish socks. I have the most fun putting together fits for that shoe - It’s like walking around with a Patrick Nagel print on-feet. I never saw the Gazelle Footpatrol from that round which looked epic.

I need to examine the Rivalry Low vs the Rivalry 86 Low for fit. I know there are several aesthetic differences that may actually be performance differences (fit). One example: There is no ghillie eyestay on the Rivalry, and that means there is no heel lock in the framework. It completely changes the fit of the shoe. I believe the same differences may exist between the Forum and Forum 84. It’s the confusing byproduct of stripping performance out of a shoe for lifestyle use.
I tried GR 86s, and I have the 86 “414” - They fit the same. Tts
My Achilles and toes would have painful words if I sized down.
