    I know this isn't really your focus anymore but if you want to some day I'd *love* to see an updated setup guide using just the options within Voicemeeter now that it was so many functions that used to be done by external VSTs.

    @TheFranswah Studio Could you help maybe with combining Silero TTS+ Voicemod + Voicemeeter ? I'm trying to route Silero output to Voicemod thru Voicemeeter but i'm really stuck... How would you set this up? I was looking your previous guides with Voicemod but i added 1 extra step with TTS python script which makes it more complicated.

      At the bothem of the system settings in voicemeeter there is a virtual asio patch panel. Only thing you need is to have a vst host like element. What i did is put my game audio en voice through it. And side chain a gate on the game audio from my mic. So when i speak the game volume drops. And with macro buttons i disable/enable that patch from the game audio. Perfect for moment in streams when the talk is low key.

    They just need to add echo/reverb cancellation (for untreated rooms) and downward expander in the filters (like the one you get in Reaper plugins reajs). This would make mic sounds on Voice Meeter superior. The denoiser on there is still not enough. Oh and they need to make these new features available on standard Voicemeeter and Banana. Right now I'll stick with EQ Apo. Devs are waaay to slow for VM.

    • @LeSaff
      @LeSaff 4 місяці тому

      @@RKDVSME Late answer but who knows...
      I recently discover something !
      The real problem of the delay is due to the cable you're using !
      I recently bought a Samson Q2U and accidentally broke the cable (well, thanks to my cast ! lol).
      As I am part of the believer that the quality of the cables matters, I looked for the best quality cable I could find. Unfortunatelly, Samson uses USB A to Mini USB cables and the choice is pretty limited !
      I bought the brand Vention. As a result, the sound is better and the delay almost completely removed.
      Additionnaly, depending on the drivers your are using, reduce the size of the buffer to the max acceptable and adjust the ms manually.

    Is Voice meter still the best app for separating sounds in MS Flight simulator?
    I have a dual cockpit with dual head sets that need to communicate voice with each other AND Air traffic Control BUT eliminate all other game noises such as engine and alarms.
    The engine noise need to be directed to three TV monitors (front, left and right) via HDMI.
    Vibration, landing bumps and and wheel noise need to be directed to a separate output to a butt kicker amplifier that feeds vibrations to speakers under the floor (I am guessing one of the output jacks on the computer).

    • @alanbeasy1775
      @alanbeasy1775 Рік тому

      @laff taff I think it does, but even if it does, that would not help. There needs to be a way to send the main game noise engines, wheel rumble, etc to the external speakers, but send the ATC to the headset. Also I need to control the EQ of the engines and wheel rumble in a separate out channel to the butt kicker amplifier. Voicemeter does all this, but apparently it is fairy complex to manage.

    • @alanbeasy1775
      @alanbeasy1775 Рік тому

      @laff taff Oh. OK. I get you now. Your original question asked if you could “change” the audio output device. You meant can MSFS direct different parts the audio to different output devices.
      The answer is, Yes and no. You have to use plug ins or separate apps to get ATC separate from the general game sounds.
      So..... back to my original question. Is Voicemeter still the best for managing the various sources and outputs?
      I have heard a couple of suggestions that there is a program that is not so complex to set up.

    I hate it, been using voicemeeter for years for my home sound experience, and it keeps burping and interrupting. The CPU meter in FL Studio isn't even above 50% but it's enough to cause all those stupid sound interruptions to occur every now and then and it sucks. I hoped I would at last be free from voicemeeter with an Arturia Pre8 but that crap only have 1 loopback channel and it doesn't even work while I need many more loopback channels in order to treat different sound sources realtime. I was about to buy an AVB from MOTU like my brother bought, but while that crap have tens and tens of loopback channels, we can't even select which one to use per application and it's just even more trash.
    On top of every burps and interruptions I get all the time, about each hour, the sound interrupts for about 10 seconds and it's intolerable if I decide to start doing some Twitch. Talking in the void for 10 seconds would be so lame. Voicemeeter interrupts my desire to go ahead with this. I want a hardware voicemeeter alternative but there's no such a thing and the author of voicemeeter have no suggestion of hardware to buy whatsoever. I asked. FL Studio forums are about as clueless of what hardware to get.
    Audio routing was easy in Windows XP. Then came Vista.

      People who streams/want more control on their audio will use VoiceMeeter Banana/Potato (according to their needs) instead the basic version of VoiceMeeter due to the audio routing.
      Basic version it's so simple and you can't do a lot of things there (I prefer Windows instead of Basic VoiceMeeter tbh) unless I want another person to listen to my audio at the same time as me.

    Nice overview, but a couple of notes about terminology.
    Please forget the word "utilize." It's pompous to the point of offensive.
    Also, I suggest that dynamics processing (compression, limiting, expanding, gating) are not generally referred to generically as "filters." In common parlance, "filters" most typically means frequency selective processing, like EQ, high-pass, low-pass, etc.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  Рік тому

      With all due respect I will continue using the word utilize - I believe the context makes sense.
      They are still considered filters, as part of a processing chain, for audio.

    • @MichaelGraves3304
      @MichaelGraves3304 Рік тому

      OTOH, noise can be said to be filtered. Something is selectively being removed.

    • @IYB

      @@MichaelGraves3304
      Very ironic that a pretty pompous comment is calling someone's word choice to be pompous.
      As for the word "utilize" you're just being a stickler for terminology under the guise of a constructive comment and honestly saddens me that you thought typing that was a good comment.
      As for the second part, Context is very important. Not everyone is fully understanding of audio terms yet still want to use this program and it's features. It's very helpful for him to explain things in a relatively comprehendible way that every type of user can understand to a certain degree. I know and use all these forms of dynamic processing on a *daily basis* yet I didn't bat an eye nor feel obligated to be on a high horse when the term "filter" was use to generically describe them. They are still classified as filters even if they don't do what a "conventional filter" would be considered as so to speak. Anything you put sound through which changes it in any capacity would be considered a filter; much like how you would use a coffee filter in a real life sense. I would go through one by one each of the four you mentioned to not be filters and explain why they are but it's irrelevant and not productive.
