Hi luis hope you notice me 😊 Please react Morissette Amon Stone Cold Live in Toronto Canada you must see that video very emotional anf powerful performance 🙏hope you read this, love from the Philippines ❤
My dad had a small home restaurant in Caloocan (weekend gig). All the homeless or any hungry people in the “barangay” (district) would come eat at the end of the day (buffet-style). My whole family would serve them whatever food was left that night - hot for them and treat everyone like family. This would be around 8pm. I grew up seeing that. They already knew the drill, every Saturday and Sunday they come at 8pm and leave at 9pm so we can clean up and get ready for the next day. There was never any fuss or trouble. They also was respectful of our space and I heard they helped keep our place safe and the surroundings clean and clear of hooligans (which my dad never asked them to do). When I would walk to school and see them, I wave and they wave back with a friendly smile. My dad said wherever they are, I will be safe. I can’t speak for the rest of Filipinos (unfortunately) but my parents tried to help out when and where they could. We were *almost* /not quite yet middle class because both my parents worked and dad operated a home restaurant on the weekends which was a huge hit. But he always cook more than necessary. I asked him one day, why he did that, maybe if he cooked just enough, we would save more money. He told me that in life, money is secondary to security. We don’t have the means to have any sort of security and we live in the hood. We need to earn people’s hearts and be a family to them, that’s the only way we are secured and this is why instead of resting, he worked even harder on the weekends to do this. He said, “I sell enough to keep this going but the security we are provided (out of their will) without asking is priceless. And I do this for you, for our family.” This is a wisdom I carry with me every where. Kindness goes a long way. An ounce of kindness is like a tiny start of ripple in the waters which can possibly cause waves. Of course we cannot see that from where we stand, but know that it can and it can only do good in this world.
If there is one thing I am proud of being a Filipino is that we are known of our hospitality. We may be poor but we know how to share and still have fun despite all the difficulties...
"Bayanihan"...it is a fundamental aspect of Filipino culture working together as a community to achieve a common goal.. which is the best description to all Filipinos.
I feel crying & goose bump on it's more love in the Philippines..For me, He really does show the whole beauty of the Philippines not all the the nature's beauty as well as the beauty in Filipino's "HELPING, SHARING & LOVE ".😭😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
You just said it Luis, that man made an impressive job making a video summarizing some of the most important aspects in the Philippines. As a citizen of our country the Philippines, I can attest and agree on what he said there, that it’s not only that it’s more fun here but indeed there’s more love in the Philippines 🇵🇭 😄😊
Back in 2012, the Philippine government started a campaign that branded the country as a perfect destination for beach bums and dive lovers. The slogan "It's More Fun in the Philippines" played a crucial role to educate people how fun it would be to visit the country.
