To EVERYONE saying that not everyone saw Civil War, two things:
1. No shit. Hyperbole. Issa joke. Just kidding. Take your pick.
2. Most people who saw this did see Civil War, as Black Panther was in that film as well, and a prominent character. Erik Stevens (at least in the movies I’m not well versed in the comics) is *technically* wakandan as he has the tattoo and is the descendant of n’jobu. I get he is legally American, but it is clearly not what he wants to be. He clearly wants to be wakandan as he takes the throne and stuff like that.

CookieMastah just because he hates t’chaka and t’challa. The reason he goes back to Oakland is because it’s where his father was buried, since he wasn’t taken back to wakanda. T’chaka, being the king of wakanda, was most likely buried in wakanda. He needed to interact with his father, as they both do, to get the powers of the black panther. When he gets to wakanda, and dies, he reminisces about a wakandan sunset. He clearly wanted to get to wakanda all of his life, and not just as a means to an end

I don't think I agree with the conclusion that Jeremy's argument was in accordance with hers, but the sin is still stupid. If a character says something you think is wrong, that's not a sin of the movie. That's just you disagreeing with the character. Disagreement is the core of conflict, which fuels many stories, so it's going to happen in lots of movies.
4:32 If anyone tries to defend CinemaSins by claiming that "it's just satire" just play that rant. He honestly thinks he's the only one who "questions" the things that happen in movies.
Many times he asks and answers usually missing it in the movie then like a hammer seeing only nails he faults it for any reason and no reason.

Up here in Greenland (at least around where I live), it's pretty common that younger siblings being younger basically becomes their nicknames. Naja (sister) and Nuka (brother) and their derivatives are common. Najaaraq (little sis) and Nukannguaq (little bro)
I still call my sis Naja, and my bro Nuka. Fortunately for them, I jealousy defended my right as eldest brother to call my younger siblings by their nicknames and everyone else use their real names when I was a kid. They did and only I, and our parents when they're being affectionate, call them by their nickname. :D

As a Marine Corps veteran, being "loyal to the throne", no matter who sits on it, is exactly what a warrior does. I don't like Trump, etc...but if I was still serving, I'd STILL give my life for the values I believe in when it comes to this country and what it was MEANT TO BE (devoid of scandals, etc).
it takes a true coward to blindly follow orders of whoever's in charge just because they are in charge.
One thing I think people aren't seeing is that these people are devote to their traditions. Some aren't as compliant, but overall the tradition of following the current king til death is just how they are raised and trained. It is like thinking how the Aztecs would have progressed into the modern era if they weren't massacred of course.

I like when you explain some comic book characters. I've never really read some of the comics before, but I know quite a bit about it from the shows. I watched Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes the most. So, I enjoy learning about new characters, like Bast and Honumon. (hopefully I spelt those right)

Earth's mightiest heroes is the best piece of marvel animation. Hands down. even the MCU refuses to handle things as seriously as that masterpiece of s cartoon.
Since Hanuman is directly tied into the conflict so explaining it isn't super important for the movie, but it being there at all does get people to ask the questions and potentially look into the material *later*, which might help sell a few comics.
I have a weird connection with that show. I watched it with my little sister when we were like 2 and 3. Then it went off of Netflix and we were heartbroken. Then, during the pandemic, when I had time to scroll through the abyss of Disney+, I thought, “huh, I wonder if the show is on here?” Then after research, (AKA clicking on episodes), I found it and relived being a 3 year old.
I think the CG in the MCU is mostly really good
The reason the end of black panther had such bad cgi was because they didn’t have a lot of time to do it. Most of the other mcu cgi is good though.

Sometimes cinema sin’s will have good points about movies here and there but a lot of their points are completely stupid at other times due to lack of knowledge about the actual film/lore or misunderstanding scenes and outright nitpicking 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
They nitpick a lot. Most of what he says is simple nitpicking. Movies have cliches for a reason. They are expected to an extent. Calling them out for some I can see, but every single one is unnecessary. I'm not a big fan of cinema sins because they look for stupid stuff just to raise their count instead of actually pointing out flaws. It makes their point seem irrelevant.

2) there were actually a bunch of people who went to see black panther without seeing civil war. As a matter of fact my grandmother is one of those people, she hasn’t seen one MCU movie ever throughout the course of these 10-11 years. She only went to see Black panther because (and I’m not saying this to be stereotypical or racist) it was very popular in the black/ African community. A bunch of people who went to see black panther thought It was movie on the black panther movement group. So a little backstory from BBC news is needed for the 40 something year olds in the audience waiting to hear a speech on black power or M.L.K’s I have a dream Speech who are there going like “WTF is Malcom X?”

AND ME What are you talking about? This guy points out all the sins that the other channel makes, such as ignoring something that happened five seconds before or after the scene he is winning. He doesn’t ignore the original sin. He corrects it and points out that it is not a proper sin.

Biggest sin for the cinemasins vid for me is criticizing that upside-down shot of Killmonger taking the throne. Was it heavy-handed? Arguably. But it was beautiful and powerful, and one of the more memorable moments in the entire film. Many film critics specifically refer to it in their positive reviews of the movie.

It's ridiculously on-the-nose and draws attention to the cinematography, pulling the audience out of the fictional world of the movie.

Depends where in the world you are raised and what kind of culture, my sister traveled a lot for her job, she met and worked with teenagers who because of money, culture and in some cases, maturity had to grow up fast or were just in a different mindset. Shit, I met 20 something year olds who acted like they were still teenagers. But my sister met quite a few teens who were working and helping to keep families together. I love hearing about growing up in different time periods, when my neigbhor was growing up, he said him and his friends were building their own hotrods or always building a motorcycle in their garage, some of my friends who have teenage kids, their kids don't even know how to cook an egg, muchless build a car lol

Technically the laws are different in different countries (here in the UK it's 16 and very few people have a problem with it), but since Jeremy is an American I'd still say it's a tad weird.

Sunny de Laney Easy. The vibranium in the beads doesn't out right heal him. They slow the blood flow and prep the wound for further treatment, like an advanced tourniquet. Killmonger's weapon was sonic based like Klaw's arm, which was a mining tool so it works particularly well against vibranium. Although the new BP suit absorbs kinetic energy, it is still reacts to the force like normal, as shown when Ta'Chala kicked it across the room during the deminstartion of it. Wakanda's monarchy works better than historical kingdoms because of the challenge system, which ensures unjust leaders are removed relatively quickly. Also it is subtly implied the other tribes, except the Jabari either never or seldom challenge because they were content with the previous rulers. Also Wakanda EXTREMLY downplayed there technological superiority in order to stay hidden/avoid conflicts. The whole crux of the movie was about Ta'Chala realizing that isolation isn't necessary, that Wakanda can help the world AND protect its self. In conclusion, this movie was made to illustrate the complexities of character motivation, leadership, new vs old, marginalization, isolationism, and legacy. It resonates so well with Black People (I'm black btw) and other marginalized groups because we have experienced these struggles and hardships for generations and more or less overcame them while growing as people. Like Ta'Chala did.

Micah Nah it has a fair few flaws, some of which were pointed out in the CS video. For example, Killmonger's rise and fall could have used more time to settle in both before the final battle and after. Also a few scenes of discontent amongst the Wakandin tribes or Dora Malaji would have helped.
